Indeed a Convention is a mechanism to reverse our current disastrous trajectory; yet any Convention is only as good as the quality of its members.
Our first five Presidents were Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison and Monroe while our last five were Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama and Trump.
Now compare and contrast them; as well as cry/laugh.
Our Founding Convention included Alexander Hamilton, John Dickinson, Charles Pickney, John Rutledge, James Madison and Edmund Randolph among dozens.
Where are their like in our time???
Our malaise is directly related to what we have become as a nation; measured by what our culture/society values, in contrast to what our Founders valued.
Everything in this world is temporal. Everything, including the life of the nation-state.
The greatest of the Ancients, Greece and Rome, the bedrock of Western Civilization endured and thrived for some 13th centuries while we are a tad past two!!!
When we recover the Heritage of our Founders, we will produce great leaders. Otherwise we will not!!!
