We The People USA

Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic

Our Guns, The Symbols and Protection of American Freedoms

The Brady campaign shot itself in the foot on three things earlier this year.

>

1. It did something I must admit I have to agree with, but for different reasons. It gave Obama an "F" for failed leadership. They gave it to him, because he didn't push for the anti gun laws they wanted. Obviously, I think he failed for many other reasons, like pushing Socialist/Marxist Ideals and such.

>

2. They tried to use the Socialist inspired model of dictating to a private company on how to run their business. Starbucks refused to buckle to their demands, and would not ban patrons who had legal gun permits from being served on their premises.

>

3. They graded the States on the amount of gun control laws they had that concurred with the Brady Campaign ideals. California was graded highest and Utah got the first zero.

>

The truth of that matter lies in the statistics, California has Murder and other violent crime rates 10 and 13 percent higher than the rest of the Country. Utah has murder and violent crime rates lower than California by 76 and 56 percent respectively. Does that say something about gun control laws their inability to stop crime?

>

I believe the Obama Administration is waiting patiently to enact the "Holy Grail" of Progressive Socialists, the confiscation of all firearms from everyone except Governmental entities. Some of the most vocal administration advisers have publicly stated; They agree with the statement by Chairman Mao Zedong that "power ultimately comes from the barrel of a gun". That mindset along with their confiscation ideas does not bode well for the American Public.

>

The gun control advocates want to strip the power to resist a Rogue Government, away from the people by ending private ownership of firearms. That would take away not only our means to resist government excesses, but  it would destroy the symbolic and actual freedoms we still enjoy.

>

I wonder if the people will fully wake up from their politically correct government imposed stupor, and act in time to save our Constitutional heritage? I hope and pray we will rise to the occasion. Over the past 60+ years, special interest groups have changed the way we teach our children. Especially History.

>

When I went to school, civics and history classes taught us the real meanings of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights Amendments, and the reasons why they came into existence. They did NOT teach that the Constitution was a living document to be interpreted for every generation. They taught it was only to be changed through the amendment process, to clarify it's meaning and adapt to new developments.

>

They also taught the duties and restrictions imposed on the three branches of Government by Constitutional Law. This is no longer true due to the inroads the Progressive Socialist philosophy of Political Correctness. "Teachings" that imply the opposite viewpoint on Gun ownership, and on the Constitutions Second Amendment meaning.

Very shortly I expect the Administration and the Toxic Trio (Obama, Pelosi, Reid) to start a massive campaign to "educate" us on the evils of private firearm ownership as a precursor to confiscation for our own "safety and protection", as every other Dictatorship in history so far, has done the same thing.
