Hi! I'm a fairly new member here myself; I'm not this Groups Historian, by a long-shot!  It goes back a decade or two through the evolution of Tea Party groups!  wtpusaJean is the founder of this site/group!  M is an excellent resource; I see you and he are already friends!

What I can mention for sure is that www.TeaPartyPatriots.ning.com..... (Mark Meckler, director) had to close the site; at least, in part, that is how this group came into being!

For an indepth History, I strongly suggest asking M or 'friending Jjean'; ask them both! 

Actually a bio on the Group would be a good idea, since I havwe asked the same question myself, as have others!
