The morning after the fourth Republican debate, Donald Trump is playing Mr. Nice…

During a lengthy interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Trump refused multiple opportunities to jab any of his opponents.

He instead struck a conciliatory tone, saying he "didn't think anybody did poorly," and noting that the GOP candidates were "getting better" with each passing debate. He also had some faint praise for chief rival Ben Carson, saying, "I thought he was good." He said other opponents like Jeb Bush "couldn't be nicer."

And the business mogul was effusive in his praise of Fox Business Network, who hosted the debate following a performance by CNBC moderators in the previous debate that was widely panned by its participants and other Republicans.

Asked by MSNBC whether he would let Ben Carson run one of his companies -- a wink at an attack Trump launched at Marco Rubio days earlier -- Trump passed on the opportunity to hit the retired neurosurgeon. He quipped, "I'd let him operate on a friend of mine -- not necessarily me, but a friend of mine," before conceding that he would let him run one of his companies.

Earlier that morning, Trump used Twitter with much the same message, crowning himself the winner of the debate and lavishing praise on its moderators.

Well, that way the others could perhaps, attack Hillary instead of each other??

The debate, for the most part, was on substantive issues which would not suit Trump's skill level. He has no substantive solutions to the problems we face today.

He actually is a politician. Promising everything under the sun , but offering nothing when it comes to solutions.

He promised to build a wall that is good enough for me..He appears to Love our Country and that is good enough for me.....He isn't a politician and that is good enough for me. He is paying in own frieght, that is great with me he is at least putting his money where his mouth is.....I am tired of all the "Slick, Wiley, Lying" others out there who promise what you want to hear and then do the job for the highest bidder. and get well paid for it.  I don't trust any of them but I like that crass, bold, Trump the best followed by Rand Paul.. And to me it is still all talk talk talk....... But then if you like Obarrrmaa so much you already can have Hillary she fits your bill well lies and all....

sorry ...but if they just enforced the laws already on the books like I said, then no need for a wall or  enforcer's...just another progressive trying to grow the government..and if you even have the idea he can get a ...WALL.. built you are not realistic... .and if that leads you to believe I like obama then you got problems I cant help with..

ENFORCE THE LAW....dont grow government

Considering the fact they the laws are already on the books and they have been told to not enforce them, then yes that leads me to Obama I said nothing about you liking Obama or not I could care less.. Only that liking him there is a clear choice for you with Hillary if you do ..You meaning who ever......You know  though if the shoe fits!!!!   Now considering the fact that they are already ignoring our own laws I would say take it a step further, good fences make good neighbors...if you don't have a fence around your house does that mean that anyone has a right to come on to you property and do what ever they want, camp, stay etc etc etc.?????  Of course not!!!!!  But then most people have a fence because it seems as though fences, walls, etc. show boundaries, and people respect that fact or most people do, so they do initially work.... Why should our Country be any different?   In fact the majority of Countries do have perimeters we do not, and it has clearly proven that maybe we should, because they can't keep track of who is coming in at all, and how many, that is showing more and more everyday.  If you can't control your borders you can't control your Country...That is a reality.

then what did you mean by this where you said ...''IF I LIKE OBAMA SO MUCH I ALREADY HAVE HILARY''...

But it does by your statement seem that you dont feel that trump will obey the laws already on the books either ..so much he will start ANOTHER  gov agency...

talk talk talk is all it is

now you say a fence ...trump says a wall which is it???

I think you need to re read it...

He promised to build a wall....how does that work to keep people out that want to come in?....he uses Isreal's wall as an example....that is a short wall in distance and requires a heavy military presence.....our wall would be 1000 of times longer and would require millions of guards to man. There isn't a wall anywhere in the world that can not be breached, including Isreal. It is done every day. Building a wall is a waste of time and money. Fix the immigration system and begin to enforce the laws already on the books. Use technology to enforce the laws and you will see the immigration begin to slow up. The consequence of our action will mean all of us will have to pay much higher prices for everything we buy and the availability will be much less, but that is the price we will have to pay.

Might want to rethink the title of this thread

Clearly he was just “reaching something he thought was pathological” as his supporter says afterward, but wow, what a poor choice of words. I’m seeing a lot of criticism of the Donald over this. And I’d love to hear what you all think about it in the comments!!

I would say that nobody uses a grain of salt anymore.

Americans used to be aware of all the mudslinging in campaigns and discounted or simply ignored it as the stuff politicians do. All politicians do.They used to think for themselves and had several sources of differing opinions in the media they could research to piece together the basics. Since the mid 60's Americans have been trained/brain washed to become guileless naivete believers in everything they see or hear or read. It infects about 80% of the population. The other 20% are skeptics who think for themselves like we here at WTPUSA do.That's my opinion.
