It's Crunch Time To Block Reid and His "Motion To Proceed" On Gun Legislation

With only four days until the U.S. Senate goes back into session, please realize this is crunch time.
New developments in this fight are going to come fast and furious. Politicians in BOTH parties in Washington, D.C. are working feverishly to trick gun owners into trading more of our Second Amendment rights for a shiny chunk of fools' gold without your action today, I'm afraid they may just succeed. Urge your Senators to oppose any "deal" and instead "Stand With Rand" to prevent any gun-related bill from reaching the floor through a "Motion To Proceed" If one does, the Rand Filibuster will be circumvented and allow Reid to push any legislation he wants with just 51 votes to get it passed.With the Filibuster, it would take 60 votes to put any gun legislation on the floor for a vote. INSIST your U.S. Senators oppose the motion to proceed on S. 649 -- Harry Reid's gun control bill -- and SUPPORT the Paul, Cruz and Lee filibuster.

Sold as a bill to supposedly stop "gun trafficking," this legislation would dramatically ramp up penalties on Americans who sell firearms to "prohibited persons" -- if the seller "should have known." The legal definitions of both of these phrases are so vague, they, by all intents and purposes, appear to be written to be an anti-gun ATF agent's dream come true. I believe this scheme is designed to get gun owners to start screaming FOR a national gun registry because ultimately the only way you'll be able to protect yourself from ATF goons, is to get prior federal approval for every gun transfer, and that would allow the Government to positively know where every "LEGAL" gun is. It would not have any impact on any illegal or contraband gun, nor on stolen guns either. Aren't you and I supposed to "get" something as part of this deal? Sure. The So-called "National concealed carry reciprocity."

Sounds nice doesn't it?
Like you, I believe the Second Amendment means what it says, and it's the birthright of every American to exercise their God-given right to keep and bear arms, and the Federal Government is not allowed by Constitutional Restriction from infringing on that birthright.
But here's the BIG FAT catch . . .
 President Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder and all the rest of this anti-gun administration would get the names and addresses of every permit holder in the country so they can "properly enforce" the new scheme.

 Worse, instead of your State Legislature setting the concealed carry laws for your state, now Dianne Feinstein, Chuck Schumer, and all the rest of the Gun Grabbers would get a say in setting up new "common sense standards" they decide are Common and Sensible.Feinstein, Schumer and even Reid have stated that if they had the power, they would confiscate all civilian guns, and I believe they intend to do just that.  as I mentioned, this first vote on the motion to proceed to debate on ANY gun-related bill is where you and I 'MUST' win -- "deal" or no deal. the pressure from NAGR members is clearly working.

The list of Senators who have signed on to support the Filibuster now stands at eight -- Paul (R-KY), Cruz (R-TX), Lee (R-UT), Inhofe (R-OK), Rubio (R-FL), Burr (R-NC), Moran (R-KS), Enzi (R-WY) and Johnson (R-WI).
 Others have signaled tepid support, and it's these Senators we must convince to preserve our Constitutional rights.
Time is running out, so it's vital we unite and turn up the heat even more to reach the 41 votes necessary to win.

When Reid comes back Monday, you can bet your butt that he will attempt to push through a motion to proceed on S. 649. If that motion passes he will be able to ram through ALL the Restrictive Gun Control proposals as amendments just like he did with Obamacare. The filibuster will have been broken and all he will need then is the 51 votes he already has to pass everything, including Confiscation as a forced Government "buy back" of all civilian weapons. We need to get active and literally flood our Senator's Offices with Petitions, Postcards, Faxes, E-Mails and Letters of Protest demanding that our Senators support the Rand Paul (and others) Filibuster by voting against Reid's Motion to proceed.
