It must be made clear from the start that we do not endorse or take sides in the current Republican Presidential race for the White House.  We have been less than enchanted with the whole lot of the original 17 candidates who raised their heads above the water to seek the highest office in the land.  Nevertheless, we hold a particular loathing of "The Establishment" in either party and fear them more than any one candidate.  That "The Establishment" would do everything in its power to derail the will of the people is beyond contempt but quite representative of what politics in America has become today and maybe always was.

 

Powerful, rich men (and some women) have but one remaining goal in life before they die, seeking power over the masses.  Political power is an elixir and is equally, if not more addictive than drugs, sex, or video games. In fact, many of man’s vices seem to appear together in powerful personalities who find themselves hopelessly in search of, or lust after, power, sex, drugs and money, not necessarily in that order.  Alabama Governor, Robert Bentley, is up for a recall for an affair with his top advisor.  Two recent Oregon governors have fallen to sexual affairs. General David Petraeus, with a long, celebrated career, fell from grace because of an affair and the mishandling of classified information.  Bill Clinton lost his law license for lying about sex and was publicly humiliated over his sexual exploits.  The list of these political miscreants that have trouble keeping their sexual emotions in check, grows longer by the day.  God help some of them if the infamous Manhattan Madam’s (Kristin M. Davis) list of clients is ever made public.

 

Many politicians use their position of power to obtain sexual favors of one kind or another.  Many more use their office in the quest for large sums of money.  Politics seems to magnify all of the obsessions, addictions, proclivities and vices of the human male and probably the human female.

 

An oligarchy is "a small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution."   That powerful men band together in oligarchies is not a new phenomenon.  It dates back to antiquity when the Sumerians invented money and learned they could loan it out at interest.  The lender always rules over the borrower.  The Sumerians were one of the earliest urban societies to emerge in the world in Southern Mesopotamia more than 5,000 years ago.  Today it’s the Trilateral Commission, or the Bilderbergers, or maybe even the Council on Foreign Relations.

 

Since then, men have been banding together to form tight nit groups that wield political and monetary power over the people of every nation on earth, from the most backward tribes to the most advanced civilizations.  There is only one other entity that is more dangerous than an oligarchy and that is a brutal King who invents his own law and administers it with fear, intimidation, hunger and the threat of death, or death itself. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, or Mao come to mind.

 

It is an axiom of political power that representative government always morphs into an oligarchy, where a group of men (and women) seek to control all power within their sphere of influence, while at the same time insulating themselves from any accountability.  For the last 100 years or more, both dominate political parties in America have done just that. Notice how they always exempt themselves from the laws they pass.

 

The glue of money-for-favors holds "The Establishment" together and gives it immense power.  But be an outsider, dare to be different, or step out of line and the oligarchy will come crashing down upon you like a pride of lions on a gazelle.

 

An oligarchy is no different than a violent street gang. It just uses different weapons but for the same reasons ….. control.  The guns of the street gang are replaced with the political power the oligarch’s wield through the passing of laws and the enforcement of those laws.  The laws they pass are in many cases tied directly to their drug of choice, money.  The money and lots of it, comes from those who demand favors of the oligarchs.  In short, the oligarchy eventually becomes just as corrupt as the street gang and can become just as violent, taking the oligarchy to the extreme of a Soviet Politburo.

 

"The Establishment", of either party, is by any definition, an oligarchy.  What "The Establishment" fears most is a potential or new politician rising from out of nowhere with the support of the people ….. a man or woman who has no master and cannot be bought.  Trump, right or wrong, is just such a man.

 

With Trump’s rise in popularity, the fear in the ranks of "The Establishment" was so great it could be cut with a knife. They oozed with Trump loathing.  "The Establishment" immediately began to close ranks around a plan to prevent Trump from ever getting anywhere near the nomination.  The wagons circled and the pocket books opened up to the tune of millions of dollars for super pacs and national ad campaigns attacking Trump.  Some in "The Establishment" even endorsed Ted Cruz just to stop Trump, while holding their collective noses.

 

Many in "The Establishment" are hoping that the Republican Convention in July will turn into a free for all, where Trump and Cruz will most likely lose on the first ballot. In the place of Trump and Cruz, they will advance a candidate that belongs to "The Establishment" and gerrymander the delegate votes to control the outcome.  The millions of people who voted for Trump and Cruz in the primaries and caucuses will be thrown to the wolves. What’s left of the Republican Party after the Convention and the November election won’t be worth salvaging.  It’s as if the Republican Party has a death wish, split between those oligarchs who want desperately to remain in power, no matter who wins the presidency and those who still believe in the principles for which the Republican Party used to stand.

 

The Democrats have been so successful in moving America to the left by buying votes that the Republicans felt they had no choice but to follow the trend.  But by so doing, they were forced to forsake their principles. Sadly, a politician once in office cares not about principles.  He or she only cares about preserving the power and percs of their alleged elected office.  They feign concern for their constituents in order to secure votes, but it is all a ruse.

 

To maintain their lifestyle of the rich and famous, they band together in caucuses to support each other in the pursuit of perpetual power, no matter what the label might be next to their name on the ballot, or the color of their skin.  They trade favors and money in that pursuit. "R", "D", "I", "S", or "C", it makes no difference.

 

Those in "The Establishment" exclude and drive out those that won’t play ball. "The Establishment" quickly surrounds new politicians where the rules are explained to them.  The explanation comes with a warning to never break the rules, or be banished from the "club."  Although a new politician may start out with an altruistic mindset for the good of the country, that mindset is quickly expelled once the "rules" have been explained to them and they have established their credentials as an "Establishment" club member.

 

The average voter is under the illusion that their vote counts.  It is just that, an illusion.  The oligarchy controls the outcome of any election.  The Party controls the rules and maneuvers the delegates to get the outcome they want. Just ask Ron Paul.  If a politician is a threat to the oligarchy, as they believe Trump is, (and Ron Paul was) he or she will be immediately shunned or tarnished beyond repair, never to seek public office again.

 

So why is Trump a threat to the Republican oligarchy? He is a monkey wrench in the smooth running gears of the oligarchy. He plays by his own rules, not the rigid rules designed to protect the party’s power.  He says what he believes even though he says it like a truck driver in a beer hall.  He is not afraid to pull the tiger’s tail and throws political correctness to the winds.  He’s refreshing, even if he leans towards the crass and unrefined side. He stirs the pot and makes the party uneasy and worried that he will lose the election because he ticks off so many constituency groups ….. who vote.

 

Time will tell whether Trump is done in by the Republican oligarchy, shoots himself in the foot one too many times, or becomes President in spite of it all.  But what Trump has done is to expose "The Establishment" for what it is, an all-powerful oligarchy that will do everything and anything to maintain its power and the status quo.  "The Establishment" cares not one whit about who will be president, just so long as "The Establishment" survives in tack at the end of any election.

 

"The Establishment", Democrat or Republican, is part of a corrupt system that has grown more corrupt over the last 100 years.  They are the oligarchy. Can the "System" (the oligarchy) be taken apart and defeated?  Yes! We describe the "System" and how to defeat it in one of our articles from late last year.  In the article we wrote: 

 

The "system" is an intertwined entanglement of interlocking national and international interests of commerce, finance and trade, accompanied by government enablers of the "system" in the executive, judicial and legislative branches.  The tentacles of one interest are inextricably interwoven into the tentacles of all the other interests.   Finding out what drives one, leads to a complex maze of closed doors, backrooms, deep subterranean caverns and secret meetings. All the sources are purposely hidden and camouflaged.  Traces to find the truth go down dead end paths, or are blocked by impenetrable obstacles.  Sources of the "system's" power are elusive and they are anything but constitutional.  The "system" exists because of citizen apathy and survives, thrives and grows on the people's money and special interests.

 

The "system" can be defeated, just not all at once. It has to be taken apart in small chunks. A small group of dedicated individuals could take on a city hall or the county commissioners. A larger group of dedicated individuals could take on the state.  These individuals would have to be prepared to unravel the system in their area through research and study, expose what is going on very publicly and get the people outraged enough to demand common sense changes.  These individuals would have to fight to overcome media bias (the "system"), which means they would have to push their message until the media could no longer ignore the "story."

But don’t be fooled. No one man can defeat the "System."  The "System" will not just vanish in the night because some people will it so. It will take the combined efforts of millions of Americans who are of one mind and committed to restoring the true vision of America, no matter what it takes.  The time for that to happen has not appeared on the horizon as yet but it will.  We only hope it isn’t too late when it does appear.

If Ewart is quoting Mommsen, this is historically preposterous as he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Sulla (138 B.C. to 78 B.C.) was a Roman General appointed Consul twice by vote of the Roman Senate and he was the predecessor of Julius Caesar. In 676 he had been dead for 754 years and the Roman Empire no longer existed!!!!!

I believe that Momsen used the A.U.C.. dating in his quote instead of the B.C. dating system. Don't know for sure, but it looks to match up with. The B.C. dates would run 81 to 80 and the corresponding  A.U.C. dates would run 673 to 674 for the time period Sulla was a dictator and framed his constitution.therefore the death date A.U.C. 676 would translate into the B.C. date circa 78.

I may be wrong in this, but this seems like the most logical reason for the confusion on the dating of Mommsen's quote.

Evolving into an oligarchy is the nature of the beast..That is the same as saying it always happens...That is the biggest argument for TERM LIMITS. Getting those involved in governing to except this goes against their inner beast.It is natural for humans to find a niche to spend their lives involved in.I am not saying this as an answer,but to help understand what is in the way of achievement.

I agree that Term Limits is one of many things that needs to be done. however do you really think those in power will voluntarily create an amendment to provide for that? I DON'T! The only way is to have an Article V convention petitioned for by the required number of States in either a convention form or get 38 States to create an amendment that is worded exactly the same and present it to Congress for Official Ratification. Either way would short circuit Congress's attempts to subvert it into something that would only benefit them.

That is why I explained it the way I did..To point out what is in the way. I know they will not bring this change in themselves.But you do need a few in place that will help drive it. That is why Rand Paul is a threat to career politicians. PS...Trump is more likly to do things to change Washington than Cruz. Cruz is the career politician.

That is another major reason we must do two or three things as quickly as possible. 

1. We must not only focus on the Presidential Election alone. We must have an increased focus on the Congressional elections because it's Congress that makes the laws and has been so lax in their duties of keeping the President restrained with his executive orders and bureaucratic regulations that are strangling this country's free enterprises.

2. We must have an increased focus on the State Legislature and Local Political elections because it will be the States primarily and the Local politicians who help us control the State Legislatures to do our bidding instead of them just maintaining the Status Quo.

3. We need an Article V Amendment proposal Convention petitioned for by the States to repeal the 14th,16th & 17th Amendments to flip the Constitution back to it's original intent of keeping the Federal Government in check to the People and the States. 

The 14th with it's insidious three words "NO STATE SHALL" flipped the power from the people and States being in charge, into the Federal Government being Supreme and lording it over the People and States.

The 16th is the one that funds the excesses of the Federal Government and goes against the original purpose in the Constitution that all taxation be apportioned.

The 17th broke the States control over their Constitutionally designated Representatives "the Senators" and allowed those Senators to become responsible only to their respective parties instead of representing the States. Remember this; The House of Representatives is the entity that is Constitutionally designated to represent the people, The Senate is was the entity Constitutionally designated in the Connecticut compromise to strictly and solely give EQUAL REPRESENTATION to the States, and not to represent the people directly.

The States Rights ship sailed w/the ascension of the Republicans post-Civil War. The Amendment/Article process would be immediately derailed by SCOTUS, the imprimatur of the statist agenda and the third leg of the political nexus in DC. Cold reality. The centralizers will never,ever cede power as it is the source of their status and wealth. It will have to be taken forcibly and a public example made of them. Suspect that many cringe and recoil reading these words yet this is the reality of history and believing otherwise is fantasy land.

This is what drives the frenzied animus toward Trump who is a threat to the status quo. Betting here is that if he is denied, whomever follows him will be much harsher, more forceful and adversarial, thereby inviting retaliation. In 1776, Tom Paine said "These are the times that try men's souls". While not their yet, we are well on the way.

I agree Thomas, The ship has sailed because of the three words in the toxic 14th amendment "NO STATE SHALL"  Even though the 14th was only intended to give the freed slaves Citizenship and voting rights, it has been mis-used by both parties and SCOTUS for political purposes not the least of which is the Anchor Baby ruling. Chas, I read the Denver post article and trying to implicate Ted in some way is impossible. Calling him "lying Ted" is strange. Ted Cruz stood up to mcconnell et al and is sincere about protecting the constitution, Israel, and Christians. Trump is using Alinsky tactics. He is a trojan horse for Bill Clinton just like Ross Perot.

For all the analysis and thoughts on the matter, a simple truth must be known. Organized Crime took over the Democratic Party. They are Communist, Anarchists, and Satanists. Above all, they are greedy and live by a code. They have corrupted half of the GOP, all the government agencies (the IRSS) and the unions and non-profits are their muscle, money launderers, and propagandists. They would promiseTrump a tax-free life for throwing the election to Bill Clinton for a third term. Beware!
