We The People USA

Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic

I am wondering how long in years , will it take to have a new party win. I can see the division in both parties.I believe that if a new party adopts principals that will draw from both parties would bring success very soon. The Libertarian party fits that bill. The Libertarian party has principals based on individual liberty, small government, fiscal responsibility, and strong value in the constitution. With the establishment showing themselves in both parties is probably the time to do it...It will take conservatives and liberals to realize that these principals mean more than our selfish stances on social issues. We must realize that we all need to stand up for each others rights to liberty...That is how our country made it this far....I for one am ready for the revolution that will take place after the establishment steal the election from We The People.....What say you

Question of practicality here.

Exactly what states share the view of the majority in your state?

California? New York? Utah? Think what agenda those states would bring.

Will every state bring the same number of voting members?

Will tally be by state or by number of members, number have sway in these affairs once the shouting begins.

I have heard all the devices offered to get this done with no chaos and I will say right now they will all fail once this gets rolling if it does.

I dont offer any explanation as there seems to be none. Hope I am so wrong...

Frankly mass succession looks more attractive at every turn.

Yes I am very familiar with the history and writings of the time both pro and con on ratification of the document.

One explanation of the electors existence at the time was due to news traveling slowly to outreaching areas and should it be found some treason or other cause before an election that a man should not be elected this news could be so slow as to have no effect on the election and the college could redeem it.

It didn't fly well then and it certainly doesn't now. Half a minute of critical thinking and that falls apart. Follow the path, how much more difficult would be to have the Secretary of State of the state and representative of the legislature of the state report the tally just as it is done with the present electors? None at all in fact it is easier and faster fewer people involved and none having any authority to do more than report and insure proper tally. The office was already being seen as growing far more powerful than was presented during ratification even at that point. These were not fools just elitists.

Patrick Henry was correct there was a dead rat in Philly.

But...

Takes too long to count the votes????

Seriously??????

And that sounds legit to you?

Not that it wasn't claimed but does it wash? This is a very legitimate question.

I am not a proponent of popular vote to elect the office. I am a proponent of the popular vote within a state awarding whatever value as assigned to that state via the same exact method to assign number of electors.

You are seriously saying this was not anything more than riding herd on the electorate?

Every rational test of logic, and these men were logical if not entirely trustworthy as a group, says differently.

Well?

Thomas, I will be more than happy to honor your request, it will save me and everyone else much needed time. Please forgive me in advance should I ever forget and respond to one of your posts. I will truly try to remember.

As more of the establishment push their crime inc. political party ponsi on the masses. The more the masses are seeing the truth of it.Things like the Colorado Primary no voters needed scheme. The more will call for and join a third party run.I thought that a third party could never happen. But I may be wrong about that. The proverbial perfect storm may be happening right in front of us.Trump could get some smart people behind an effort to package all that has happened and pull it off. Remember ,he wrote The Art of The Deal...If he were to run against Lyin` Ted and Hillary the convict. It just might be the Two perfect candidates for him run against and win...That debate would be watched by the whole world...And I do believe Trump would beat them like badly folks...Hell, he is already fishing for Bernie voters.Bernie`s main issue`s is campaign finance. Trump will get everyone of those. Those who think he is racist will eventually see the truth.

Kevin,

In my opinion the only proper time to form a third party is when the election is immediately over and the people are disgusted with the results. Then gather in the losing politicians that most agree with a conservative viewpoint and form it around them.

M, I would use individual Liberty as the cornerstone for a new party. Conservatism limits your growth. I would have a more all inclusive posture. That is and should be the way of the future. Protecting Liberty for all..Just like the pledge says...Live and let Live..I want government out of the bedrooms and I want bedrooms out of government.

Primaries, Caucuses & Conventions
Conventions used to be chaotic events that actually decided each party's nominee for president
Creation of the primary system gave voters, rather than party bosses, control over nominations and made conventions less important
On 16 July 1940, the delegates to the Democratic Convention meeting in Chicago heard the voice of God. During the months leading up to the convention, Democratic President Franklin Roosevelt had not clearly indicated whether he would break the two-term precedent set by George Washington and seek a third term. As a result, the Democrats were muddled in uncertainty, debating the qualities of other candidates and worrying about the political impact of a divided convention. On the second day of the convention, a message from Roosevelt was read to the delegates, stating that he would not seek the nomination. But as the crowd sat in disappointed silence, a booming voice filled the convention hall: "We want Roosevelt. The world wants Roosevelt." Delegates quickly picked up the chant and soon the phrase echoed through the entire arena. Two days later, convention delegates voted overwhelmingly to draft Roosevelt to represent the party in the November elections. And on 5 November, he was elected to a third term.
Believe it or not, it wasn't God speaking to the delegates gathered in Chicago—it was Chicago's Superintendent of Sewers, Thomas Garry. Sitting in the convention hall basement with a microphone linked to the hall speakers, he waited for the right moment to start his chant. But whether from God or Garry, the heavens or the sewers, it made little difference to the course of the convention. A divisive battle was avoided and the Democrats were able to rally behind a consensus choice
Now it's ted speaking!

There is a movement going on. Many are rising up. There is a leader of that movement who is bold and brash. Just like our founding fathers. We will never get this type of chance again in our lifetimes. All of you who are not willing to put your live`s and fortunes on the line, need to get out of the way. The Revolution was won with 3% of the population...To do the same thing of voting for the less of evils. Or to eat up what the masters dish out is not any definition of a Republic. All of you who think to go along to get along plays right into the rulers hands. This is that time in history that our Founding fathers knew would come. They left us with all the tools as best they could. The only thing they could not do is give us the will to stand up in the face of tyranny. If you are a man that has talked about this issue but find excuses to not stand than you are a coward. Plain and simple. If you are a man who will not back up with actions ,what you have preached, Then you are a coward.I do not mind someone being a coward, for it is not many who are actually brave enough to put it on the line. But I will take issue that anyone speak out against those who will be brave enough to stand. Those who will work their pens or key boards to undermine such bravery will be dealt with accordingly. When it is time to vote, and there are 3 choices. I suggest you do not vote for the one you think is the less of 2 evils. That is the same as excepting the same old ruling class. So a no vote will be fine. Just do not work against the movement if it comes about to a vote. If you do you will have to live with that.

KK raises a salient issue.

How many are aware that almost half the citizens of New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Rhode Island were loyal to the British Crown and actively opposed the Revolution. In fact, most of these fled to Canada after Yorktown.

Old sympathies die hard because change terrorizes many and so they simply will not let go.This is why they retain jobs that offer them no future, why they stay in marriages that have failed beyond repair and why they maintain relationships that are self-destructive.

It is beyond self-evident that the GOP while unburied, is dead and change is in the air. So It's high time the Bugler was sent up the hill w/a message to the spectators; as McDowell did at First Manassas; that they had to choose sides since the Battle was about to commence. Words of wisdom.

Arizona`s  GOP establishment back room deals are creating more of the perfect storm situation for the birth of a THIRD PARTY....The GOP must go to the trash bin, PERIOD. They are what is wrong with our country.

The Democratic party is putting our country so far left, we might as well join the European union.
