A reflection.

Rome required its leaders to represent moral excellence, prominently honor and integrity, which brings me to Cruz.

By that standard, it is an ageless principle that inducing/soliciting another to break his word, is dishonest. That is why attempting to poach athletes under contract to another team or employees working for a competitor, is unacceptable behavior, notwithstanding the statutory consequences. As such, the actions and behavior of Cruz in several State Primaries expose him as a dishonorable fraud and liar.

Indeed he is right at home in the Senate, ground zero for many of the most egregious charlatans and hustlers in the nation.

TVC..You are spot on.. The total lack of morals shown by our nations leaders, has trickled down through our population. To watch leaders lie like they do, and then be allowed the positions that we allow them to have, is in my opinion the main reason for societies decay.

Maine governor: Cruz campaign 'stabbed us in the back' at state convention

Maine Gov. Paul LePage, a Donald Trump supporter, accused the Ted Cruz presidential campaign of reneging on a deal to support a “unity slate” of the state’s primary delegates, according to CNN.

 
"We reached a deal with Cruz's national campaign to put up a unity slate that would honor the wishes of the thousands of Mainers who voted at caucus,” LePage said in a statement. “But Cruz's Northeast Political Director David Sawyer lied to us and broke the deal. Sawyer stabbed us in the back, reneged on the unity slate, and betrayed the people of Maine."

The Maine governor suggested the incident was part of a larger trend of deceit from the Cruz team.

"As we have seen throughout the country, Cruz's national campaign is run by greedy political hooligans,” he said.

While we're debating 'Lyin Ted'; a related thought comes to mind.

Cruz has always radiated an aura of moral superiority as an arbiter of right and wrong, so consider this:

A man of Honor does not take what isn't his, be it another man's wife, his wallet or votes pledged to someone else, notwithstanding what the law says or what the rules allow; because to do so is a violation of the 8th and 10th Commandments. And these always overrule all secular considerations.

Yet Cruz's sycophantic fan club insists he did nothing wrong in poaching the Trump delegates.Really?????
