Crooked politicians must be held accountable for the crimes they have done. Trump is the only one who will do it. To elect a POTUS who will not prioritize fixing our criminal political system will not be good enough for me.We will not get another one like Trump ,who will bitch slap the evil out of Washington politics..No one can deny that Trump is crazy enough to do it. But he needs us to want it fixed. He can not stand alone..This is that time in history. The time that many have hoped. Turn your back on this opportunity,and we are done. THAT IS THE TRUTH OF IT.

M so if states want to have segregation that should be fine and if a state wants to do unfair practices that will harm another in other states that is fine to. We could go on at length picking subjects and issues, that is why the Constitution clearly spells out that federal law trumps state law.

Pullin' the race card are ya? No one is talking about Segregation here but you. aspects of the 13th and 15th amendments and several Statutory Laws, Federal and in the 50 States would be brought into play to prevent segregation, or anything on that order. You need a History lesson. Originally before the 14th States could reject Federal laws except the ones that were in accord with the Constitution by way of the 10th Amendment. EXample Massachusetts despite the First Amendment, had an official State Religion at one time and it was perfectly legal and Constitutional. Everything within the constitution was intended to prevent the Federal Government from becoming what it is today. 

Other Constitutional laws always take precedence over State and even Federal Laws. At least that's the way it used to be before the 14th,17th were ratified as amendments.the Constitution stated the Federal Government was forbidden from infringing on the rights of Free American Citizens to keep and bear arms. Today Free being not incarcerated individuals of the age of majority. Therefore every Federal Gun Law is an infringement and is null and void under the Constitution.

On another note, look at the States that have legalized Marijuana for Medical and even some for recreational use despite the Federal laws against it. However users are still subject to arrest and prosecution from Federal sources since the 10th no longer is enforceable because of the 14th. 

States until the 14th amendment were not bound by the Amendments as they were only when they were ratified binding on the Federal Government. All the States have State Constitutions and owing to the fact that the States are in fact Sovereign nations unto themselves those Constitutions govern the States legal conduct.

As far as one State wanting to harm another State, that's where the Commerce Clause in the main body of the Constitution comes in and rectify's that problem giving the Federal Government specific power over the States in that instance.

no I am not playing the race card M, it just happens to be one issue that came to mind. I could sit hear for hours listing issues that would occur if we did not have a constitution that assumed the guidance for all law and regulating such law fairly thought the states who happen to be members of the United States of America. You see that what we pledge our allegiance to, not the wants and needs of the states. By the way the constitution was not a perfect document when it was written because the framers new they couldn't possibly cover all aspect of imperfection, that is why they made room for changes by way of the amendment process. You have to admit we made some major oversights at the beginning of our history.

I agree that is why the Founders put in the process for Amendments. However you must realize that by their very nature Amendments are temporary interpretations and can by 3/4 of the States be repealed totally, every last one of them. We both know that would not happen in the real world. What has happened after the Bill of rights, which I feel should have been incorporated into the main body of the Constitution instead of being amendments, is the express domain of successive Congresses proposing Amendments that benefitted them Politically.

Since the provision is there ( Article V ) it falls under your definition and should 3/4 of the States ( that would of necessity mean their voting populations ) decide on anything it would become Constitutional Law. Again real world conditions would preclude any outlandish decisions. I do trust the General Population to make better decisions for themselves and their Country that Congress would. I base that on the past practice of Congress as proof.

As far as the oversights you cite at the beginning, I believe the more heinous ones like institutionalized Slavery were more of a forced compromise than a choice. Don't forget the original idea of the then Elites was to make Washington a King and themselves into a copy of the House of Lords. We call them Progressives today.

This is a very serious threat to our electoral system that even outstrips but compliments the current trend of SCOTUS to remove positive ID for voters.

Just watched Hillary`s rally in Cleveland...There was only one live stream and at peak there were 142 watching..There are more dislikes than likes , witch is a real tell. Last nights trump speech was covered by all news stations and one of the on line streams ha 38 k watching at one point....You do not have to be a rocket scientist to realize the polls are rigged. It won`t be long and trump rally`s will move into stadiums while Hillary rallies will b in high school cafeterias so they can give out free meal to those attending. And CNN will create a narrative that Hillary is feeding the hungry while she campaigns because she truly cares.I would bring the Hillary rally video here ,but I am on Lab top and do not know how to bring videos yet.

Kevin I watched Trump's speech last night on Fox and searched to see if anyone else was covering live. I couldn't find any other outlet on cable. Maybe I was changing channels to quickly but you would think I would accidentally hit on another station. More import I listened to every thing Trump had to say and he offered not one single hint how he would solve one issue. Unless you can decipher Trump's code when he speaks.
