“The tendency toward designing a curriculum to suit the interests and eccentricities of law professors can be seen in the decline of the core law school curriculum, with its basic building block courses like Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Corporations, Criminal Law, Evidence, Professional Responsibility, Property, and Torts,” Gail Heriot wrote late last year in a policy analysis for the Cato Institute. “That decline is mainly a function of the fact that fewer faculty members want to teach them.”
“Meanwhile, a plethora of esoteric and boutique courses — such as Harvard’s ‘Alternative Sexual Relationships: The Jewish Legal Tradition’ and ‘Progressive Alternatives: Institutional Reconstruction Today’ — have found their way into the curriculum because, well, some law professor feels like teaching them and nobody has an incentive to tell him that he can’t.” These course titles can easily make it as panels at the annual MLA convention.
Heriot, a professor at the University of San Diego School of Law, also serves on the United States Commission on Civil Rights.

9th court of appeals looking to send us into a constitutional crises. Do we make this a pitch fork and torches moment ...Or do we submit to the will of our out of touch court system. This decision gives the Liberal left a huge lift. They will believe as I do that their protests and riots played heavy on the judges minds.
Well the mask is certainly off, the ruling did not even mention constitutionality or legality (which DT has entirely on his side), only policy interpretation and opinion on same.
This is a usurpation of authority and a blatant one at that.
Sometimes a system has to be stressed to show it's true flaws. So where to now should there be a general revolt of the judiciary?
What talking heads are saying is 85% of the 9th appeals court get over turned by SCOTUS. This tells us the flawed system is embedded deep in our constitutional grain. Much work to do. Trump will make this an issue for sure. Part of draining the swamp. We all must do what we can to back him up.We will never get another Trump. So make this time around work.God gave us a chance here. USE IT OR LOSE IT.
Trump has already filled out paper work for 2020 election. He did this to show us he aims to be in for the long haul. No one has ever filed this early. He shows us he is committed His family will suffer greatly. He put it on the line. He is risking so much. This is plain to see. He needs our prayers Prayer is very important.
