On March 20, 2018, H.R. 5087, the Assault Weapons Ban of 2018, was referred to the House Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations. Congressman David Cicilline (D-R.I.) introduced the House AWB bill along with 164 original cosponsors, on February 26, 2018. As of Tuesday, March 27, 2018, the bill boasts a total of 174 cosponsors plus Congressman Cicilline. Like Cicilline, the 174 cosponsors are all Democrats.
Concurrently, a Senate version of the AWB, S.2095, introduced by Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), is pending in the Senate Judiciary Committee. As of March 27, Senator Feinstein's AWB bill has 29 cosponsors, all of whom are also Democrats.
Senator Feinstein's AWB bill would legally define a "semiautomatic assault weapon" as:
A semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:
(i) A pistol grip.
(ii) A forward grip.
(iii) A folding, telescoping, or detachable stock.
(iv) A grenade launcher or rocket launcher.
(v) A barrel shroud.
(vi) A threaded barrel.

The Nanny Govt. led by the Progressive Socialist Democrats have systematically broken the 2nd Amendment for more than just guns. The Amendment states the RIGHT of the people to bear arms does not just mean firearms, it also includes every other type of weapon like a billy club, a stun gun, a knife, etc.

Yes a knife, and the knife laws are just as illegal as the gun laws.. the 2nd Amendment says “The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed” and any law that restricts that right or requires registration or a permission slip is a violation of our rights as protected under the 2nd Amendment. Laws meting out punishment for using weapons in a crime are constitutional, laws restricting ownership or the right to carry are not.
The real problem is the multitude of differing local and State Laws on the books about every conceivable weapon in existence. A person could be committing a felony just going to the next city to shop for groceries while carrying a knife either openly or concealed even pen knives come under that rule in some of the Bluest States controlled by Anti-Everything unless it's for my friends mentality politicians. In short the Bloomberg Principle.
