We The People USA

Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic

Crooked politicians must be held accountable for the crimes they have done. Trump is the only one who will do it. To elect a POTUS who will not prioritize fixing our criminal political system will not be good enough for me.We will not get another one like Trump ,who will bitch slap the evil out of Washington politics..No one can deny that Trump is crazy enough to do it. But he needs us to want it fixed. He can not stand alone..This is that time in history. The time that many have hoped. Turn your back on this opportunity,and we are done. THAT IS THE TRUTH OF IT.

Sessions is a coward, disloyal and incompetent.

The Romans would have kicked him from the Senate to the Coliseum;

dragged him to a pyre and burnt him alive, cheering continuously.

Sanctimonious types will be appalled; let them be.

Rome endured for 13 centuries while we are a tad past 2!!!

Thomas,

One thing remains the same no matter what century, You plain can't trust Politicians to do anything except what they see as best for themselves. It must be the nature of the beast.

M, as you already know, the Greeks and Romans insisted the wise

oligarchs they allowed to rule them; abide a code of honor and integrity

(per Bill Bennet's "Book of Virtues") in order to retain their positions.

By that criteria, our Congress and WH would have been empty for

the past 50 years!!!

Thomas, Here are some that were not so good;

Greeks; Phalaris, 570-554 BC, Telemachus, after 554 BC, Alcamenes, 6th/5th century BC, Alcandros, 6th/5th century BC, Theron, 488-472 BC, Thrasydaeus, 472 BC (expelled and executed), Phintias, c. 288-279 BC, Aristippus the Elder, after 272 BC, Aristomachos the Elder, before 250-240 BC (assassinated),Aristippus, 240-235 BC (killed in action), Aristomachus the Younger, 235-229 BC (resigned), 224-223 BC (tortured and executed)  Dictators and tyrants all.

Romans;

Nero, Caligula, Domitian, Septimius Severus, Maximinus Thrax,  Diocletian, Tiberius,  Caracalla, Commodus, Elagabalus,  Really the worst.

Hmm....................and so what !

Man, born w/original sin is an imperfect creature.

Conjure up a world where the Greeks and Romans never appeared.

and you have a world that went out of existence long, long ago;

like Uranus rotating eternally.

I would ask for prof of what you say. But we both know you can not prove an un-provable.

Prove what?

So What? I was just pointing out that they were just as damaged and bigoted in their own way and as diverse as we are today. Yes they gave us basics, Yes we have built on them, Yes future generations will eventually be saying the same things about us. However they were more openly barbaric in all of their civilizations, and that's not to say we are not barbaric ourselves, because we are, but to a lesser and/or to a more hidden extent.

All I am saying is that I Don't laud the past nor do I Long for it. I simple try to apply it's tried and true lessons to the present. Traditional values and their Cliche's are valid because they consolidate what has worked in the past and keeps on working provided no one tries to fine tune it for an agenda.That I believe is the major mistake the current Luddites/Progressives are making by trying to return to the sybaritic practices and perversions of that world that generated a Caligula type of leader, who today I would compare with George Soros and the 12 families who own 60% of the worlds wealth in fee simple. I also believe they are deliberately doing it to weaken and destroy any and all opposition to their end game agenda of ruling the world.

They, through their system of international banks control the money flows and through that, businesses and governments. Those are the hidden  overlords who dictate what is going to happen in general. Those groups were probably formed in what you call the golden age and have continued on up through the centuries gaining ever more power and wealth to support that power.

Gave us basics huh?

Sorta like 2+2 = 4, I suppose.

As Bernard, Archbishop of Chartres and a contemporary of Aquinas stated;

"We are mere dwarvs who see as far as we do, only because we can stand of the massive shoulder of the Giants of Antiquity who founded Western civilization."

A brief summation of their contributions include:

* Science, including Botany, Biology,Chemistry, Physics, each a Greek word.

* Geomety, w/o which structures are not possible and the driver of Civil Engineering.

* Governance in the form of a republic and a democracy.

* Philosophy and Logic.

* Drama in the form of Comedy and Tragedy.

* Medicine and Surgery.

* Aqueducts and Roads.

A complete list runs a dozen pages in the Britannica.

And just think they did all this w/o PhD's the poor things; while we worship at the altar of bullshit.

TVC ,You list all these achievements and credit them to certain masses of the ancient times. As a Christian I am sure you realize that these gifts you talk about come from God. You talk of theses people as giants of antiquity. Because of bigger brains ,gifted to the human race, is the reason we mortals have excelled onto where we are now. With that said I will give you credit as a historian, and I am amazed of the wisdom you have in that area. But I do think that you stand so close to your love of history is why you see it like you do. With all the intelligence in the world A man is nothing without the teachings of God and his Son ,Jesus....Love Charity and Hope are three of Gods values . I would suggest that we would be stuck in Barbaric times without them...You know the old story that was probably said by one of your Giants. If you stand to close to the trees, You can not see the health of the forest.

Thomas, actually the concept of PhD's ( Doctor of Philosophy)comes from the Ancient Greek Doctorates.so they did have them. Even if we do stand on the shoulders of giants we are the giants that future generations will stand on..That's how we make advancements in the Sciences,Medicine,Mathematics,are made.  Unfortunately we are still the same emotionally as we were then. In fact we have not made any advances then or now in the sciences of the mind to date. While the ancients do hold a specific place in our existence, they are not the end all and be all of that existence. It's an dynamic situation, not a static one.

That is barbaric times of the past. Thanks to God ,we do not act that way anymore...At least not the Christian civilization. True followers of Jesus would not be like that...As far as Sessions , He should resign. He has cost us this whole mess. Plus a seat in the Senate..Maybe he can get that seat back. Or maybe be shown to the RINO bone yard.
