Excerpt from article;
Snapchat users in Nevada may notice the NRA filter (basically a set of text that can be placed over a Snapchat image) which reads: “Hey Bloomberg, don’t NYC my Nevada gun rights. Stand and fight with NRA.” The filter, which was available between 2 pm and 8 pm ET on the day of the debate, referenced Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety Organization.
The filter’s limited availability was aimed to coincide with the Republican debate, which took place at 8.30 pm ET in Las Vegas, Nevada. The NRA is hoping that the app’s mostly millennial user base will help spread its message as the political conversation heats up online.“[We] won’t sit back and let the Bloomberg-funded gun control groups spread ‘common sense’ misinformation,” NRA spokeswoman Catherine Mortensen told the Las Vegas Review Journal. “We are actively educating voters on how the Bloomberg initiative will criminalize the activities of law-abiding citizens who exercise their Second Amendment rights.”
Nevada has a gun control initiative (think National Registration and Background Checks as a precursor to confiscation no matter what the lying politicians tell you, or assure you that it won't happen) set for ballot in November. The NRA is doing this as a counterpoint to the lies and emotional but hollow arguments against Bloomberg's "Everytown" Stealth Gun Grabber masquerading as a gun safety organization and their promotional video that touts and constantly spouts rhetoric that implies the false premise of; 'Being disarmed and helpless actually makes you safer against Gun Wielding Nut Cases, Criminals, and Jihad Terrorists. The group purports that is the only acceptable way to combat gun violence in the U.S.A.

The NRA has the Eddie Eagle safety program that is directed toward children. I liked it back then , and am sure it is still a wonderful program./ Years ago, many schools allowed programs to be offered to children both in Grade school, and High school. Parents could sign up their kids, or they could actually order the booklets and such for their child. Not sure how the programs are done now, but I believe our kids should be given every bit of training in the handling of, or the "Tell an Adult" program message when seeing a gun in an unexpected place.
Some of this can also fight back against the Bloomberg/Obama gun control issue. Voters and their kids (who will become voters later) need to know the truth about gun safety and the natural rights of Americans, and the 2ND Amendment rights of the Constitution that reinforce that natural right of self-defense.. ..
