the only thing this shows is the organizers of the rally are not smart enough to know how to check in crowds greater than 100 people in a short amount of time. Every spirt event in America checks in tens of thousands of people every week without having long lines. If you can't figure that challenge out my guess is you have a harder time figuring out how to win a national election.

I did go in that location years ago, and unless they have redesigned the building there is only one main entrance that was a choke point. The exits were many and alarmed for egress by fire safety requirements. While I can't say if the building has been redesigned in the last fifteen years, I will say the old way would make a major bottleneck for moving people through metal detectors for the rally. I went online and found the floor plans for the Suburban Collection Showcase and a front elevation. Look at them and you will see why it took so long to get the people through. Another thing, I don't know if the place was opened when the pictures of the lines were taken. they could have been waiting for it to open for admission. Don't forget that tickets needed to be checked and probably people were filed through metal detectors. That takes a lot of time even if the crew was organised. Don't forget it was the Secret Service that set up the rules for people coming in to maintain some semblance of security. Sporting events security not so much

looked at the elevations don't really show much. One door can be an issue but overcoming that bottleneck can be addressed easily. Also security has been an issue for 15 years now so we have had plenty of time to learn how to adapt to those issues. As for people standing outside before the building was open that also has to do with planning. If weather is going to be an issue than plans have to be made to facilitate those waiting outside in bad weather.

I don't know how you could tell how many people were in attendance at this rally from the video but even it it is 5,000 or more what does that mean? I have attended political rallies with thousands of participants but the candidate still lost.
