    Here’s How Few Republicans Are On College Faculties.
    5/2/18 Walter E. Williams
    Just within the past week or so, some shocking professorial behavior has come to light.
    In the wake of Barbara Bush’s death, California State University, Fresno professor Randa Jarrar took to Twitter to call the former first lady an “amazing racist.” Jarrar added:
    PSA: either you are against these pieces of s— and their genocidal ways or you’re part of the problem. that’s actually how simple this is. I’m happy the witch is dead. can’t wait for the rest of her family to fall to their demise the way 1.5 million iraqis have. byyyeeeeeeee.
    In New Jersey, Brookdale Community College professor Howard Finkelstein, in a heated exchange, was captured on video telling a conservative student, “F— your life!” At the City University of New York School of Law, students shouted down guest lecturer Josh Blackman for 10 minutes before he could continue his remarks. When Duke University President Vincent Price was trying to address alumni, students commandeered the stage, shouting demands and telling him to leave.
    None of this professorial and student behavior is new at the nation’s colleges. It’s part of the leftist agenda that dominates our colleges. A new study by Brooklyn College professor Mitchell Langbert—”Homogeneous: The Political Affiliations of Elite Liberal Arts College Faculty“—demonstrates that domination.
    (By the way, Academic Questions is a publication of the National Association of Scholars, an organization fighting the leftist propaganda in academia.)
    Langbert examines the political affiliation of Ph.D.-holding faculty members at 51 of the 66 top-ranked liberal arts colleges according to U.S. News & World Report. He finds that 39% of the colleges in his sample are without
    Republicans, with zero registered Republicans on their faculties.
    As for Republicans within academic departments, 78 percent of those departments have no Republican members or so few as to make no difference.
    Langbert breaks down the faculty Democrat-to-Republican ratio by academic department, and there are not many surprises.
    Engineering departments have 1.6 Democrats for every Republican. Chemistry and economics departments have about 5.5 Democrats for every Republican. The situation is especially bad in anthropology departments, where the Democrat-to-Republican faculty ratio is 133-to-1, and in communications departments, where the ratio is 108-to-zero.
    Langbert says, “I could not find a single Republican with an exclusive appointment to fields like gender studies, Africana studies, and peace studies.”
    Later on in the study, Langbert turns his attention to Democrat-to-Republican faculty ratios at some of our most elite colleges. At Williams College, the Democrat-to-Republican ratio is 132-to-1. At Amherst College, it’s 34-to-1. Wellesley’s is 136-to-1. At Swarthmore, 120-to-1. Claremont McKenna, 4-to-1. Davidson, 10-to-1.

    ~~~~ Another VIP Boosts Sheriff Joe!
    5/01/18 The Hill by: Jacqueline Thomsen
    "I'm honored to have you here."
    Vice President Mike Pence recognizes ex-sheriff Joe Arpaio during a tax policy event in Arizona, calling Arpaio a "tireless champion of strong borders and the rule of law." — NBC News 5/1/18
    Vice President Pence praised former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who was 'convicted' of contempt of court, as a “tireless champion of … the rule of law” during an event in Arizona on Tuesday.
    Pence said at the tax event that he was “honored” by the former sheriff’s attendance, and called Arpaio a “great friend of this president and tireless champion of strong borders and the rule of law,” to cheers from the crowd.
    President Trump last year 'pardoned' Arpaio, a vocal supporter of his on the campaign trail, after he was convicted of contempt of court for refusing to stop racially profiling mexicano people at traffic stops for immigration checks.
    Arpaio, who is running for retiring Sen. Jeff Flake’s (R-Ariz.) Senate seat, filed an appeal in January to have the conviction cleared.
    He argued in the filing that Judge Susan Bolton “refused to give the Sheriff a trial by jury,” and that her “verdict was completely unsupported by the evidence, among numerous other reasons.”
    23-Year-Old Gets Her First Gun. It Pays Off Big Time a Week Later!
    4/26/18 WRAL Candace Sweat and Alfred Charles
    RALEIGH, N.C. — A robbery suspect was shot and wounded when his intended victim fought back and opened fire on him in downtown Raleigh, authorities said Friday.
    Jonathan Tyrone Peace, 28, has been charged with common law robbery in connection with the incident Thursday in the 300 block of South Blount Street around 3 p.m., police said.
    He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was rushed for medical treatment to WakeMed.
    Information about his condition was pending.
    Police said Morgen Matthews, 23, was walking on South Blount Street when Peace tried to rob her. She fired her weapon to stop him from attacking her, police said.
    She remained on the scene until police arrived, authorities said.
    A man who said he was Matthews' boyfriend showed WRAL News a cell phone text from the woman as the event was unfolding. In it, she asks the man to come downtown because she had been attacked.
    Trump's Ambassador Warns Countries At The UN.
    5/01/18 Fox News by: Ben Evansky
    When Nikki Haley started as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, she warned she'd be “taking names” of countries that do not have “our back.” Now, a newly released annual State Department report on voting records at the world body will tell her who exactly is in America’s corner – and who is not.
    The report found that U.N. member states only voted with the United States 31% of the time last year on resolutions at the U.N. General Assembly – down 10% from the prior year.
    Reacting to the new report, Haley said in a statement that it was not an “acceptable return” on the United States’ investment and suggested this could factor into aid decisions.
    Haley emphasized that U.S. taxpayers pay for 22% percent of the U.N. budget – more, she said, than the next three highest donor nations combined.
    Haley noted that the U.S. cares more about “being right than popular and are once again standing up for our interests and values” but said:
    “Either way, this is not an acceptable return on our investment.
    When we arrived at the UN last year, we said we would be taking names, and this list of voting records speaks for itself.
    President Trump wants to ensure that our foreign assistance dollars – the most generous in the world – always serve American interests, and we look forward to helping him see that the American people are no longer taken for granted.”
    Trump Hires Heavyweight To Replace White House Lawyer.
    5/02/18 NY Times Matt Apuzzo and Michael S. Schmidt
    WASHINGTON — President Trump plans to hire Emmet T. Flood, the veteran Washington lawyer who represented bill clinton during his impeachment, to replace Ty Cobb, the White House lawyer who has taken the lead in dealing with the special counsel investigation, who is retiring, according to two people briefed on the matter.
    In a phone interview, Mr. Cobb said he informed the president weeks ago that he wanted to retire. He said he planned to stay at the White House, likely through the end of the month, to help Mr. Flood transition into the new job.
    “It has been an honor to serve the country in this capacity at the White House,” he said. “I wish everybody well moving forward.”
    Mr. Flood is expected to take a more adversarial approach to the investigation than Mr. Cobb, who had pushed Mr. Trump to strike a cooperative tone. Mr. Flood initially spoke with the White House last summer about working for the president, but the talks ultimately fell apart because Mr. Flood did not want to deal with Mr. Trump’s longtime New York lawyer, Marc E. Kasowitz, who was overseeing the president’s dealings with the special counsel at the time.
    “There is a battle for the heart and soul of the Democratic Party, and Steny Hoyer and his corporate cronies already lost,” said Stephanie Taylor, co-founder of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, which quickly sent out a fundraising email over the dustup.
    In the edited recording, secretly taped in December, Hoyer signaled the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the party organization dedicated to winning House races, had picked sides.
    “So your position is a decision was made very early on before voters had a say, that’s fine because the DCCC knows better than the voters of the 6th Congressional District, and we should line up behind that candidate?” Tillemann asks.
    Hoyer responds, “That’s certainly a consequence of our decision.”
    Hoyer’s office did not respond to a request for comment but Minority Leader nancy pukelosi defended her lieutenant and said he was just delivering the political “realities of life.”
    “Some candidates can do better in the general than others,” the Mexifornia Democrat said. “That’s a clear-eyed conversation that we should be having.”
    Tillemann told Democracy Now! that the party’s intervention showed “Washington insiders” were trying to protect their interests.
    “They are pumping money for its candidates who are going to fight for corporations and Wall Street and the establishment,” he said.
    Activists said party voters should be allowed their say on candidates.
    They hearkened back to the Clinton-Sanders primary, when the Democratic National Committee was actively working to derail Mr. Sanders — but said problems began long before that.
    “We saw what happens when Democratic Party leaders put their fingers on the scale in primaries in 2006 through 2016, when we lost nearly 1,000 elected offices up and down the ballot,” said Charles Chamberlain, executive director of Democracy for America.
    In the 2018 election season, progressives say national Democrats have intervened in races in Texas, Kansas, California, New Jersey and Wisconsin.
    The winner of the Democratic primary in Colorado in will face off against Republican Rep. Mike Coffman, who analysts say is one of the most vulnerable GOP incumbents.
    He has raised $1.7 million and has nearly $1.2 million on hand, according to the most recent campaign finance reports. Mr. Crow, meanwhile, has outraised Tillemann by $923,000 and has almost $800,000 more than him in the bank.
    The dustup might help Tillemann. After the DCCC attempted to pick a candidate in a heated Texas congressional primary last month, the liberal groups’ choice, Laura Moser, saw a surge of fundraising and managed to reach a May 22 runoff for the party’s nomination.
    A big loser from the secret recording, meanwhile, could be Hoyer, who has long signaled an interest in replacing Mrs. Pelosi when she retires.
    Mr. Chamberlain said Hoyer no longer deserves that chance.
    “It’s time for him to recognize that only thing that’s truly not viable is his leadership role in a House Democratic caucus that depends on an enthusiastic grass-roots progressive base for its majority,” he said. “Steny Hoyer should resign or be removed from House Democratic leadership immediately.”
    Top Democrat Steny Hoyer Under Major Pressure To Resign… From Democrats!
    Liberal groups demanded the resignation of a top House Democrat on Thursday after he was caught on a secret recording trying to strong-arm a progressive candidate to nix his congressional campaign and clear the way for party leaders’ preferred pick to win, reports The Washington Times.
    Rep. Steny Hoyer, the second-ranking Democrat in the House, told Levi Tillemann, a Democrat running in Colorado’s 6th Congressional District, to drop out because “a judgment was made very early on” that opposing candidate Jason Crow, an Army veteran, was the party’s choice to take on a vulnerable Republican.
    The recording, which Tillemann released to the Intercept news website, has infuriated pressure groups who say it’s the latest example of party leaders undercutting progressives, just as they did in the 2016 presidential race by backing killary clinton over Sen. bernard sanders of Vermont.
    Parkland Teacher Viciously Attacks Pro-Gun Survivor.
    4/26/18 Twitchy by: Sam J.
    We’re starting to understand why Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and Broward County itself were so willing to jump on the bandwagon blaming the NRA for the mass shooting at the school over two months ago.
    Especially if they have teachers on staff who speak this way openly about their students.
    Parkland Teacher:
    "My bosses explicitly told me not to publicly demean a student/survivor over political differences, so I can’t comment — except to say that he’s a dangerous proto-Hitler who must be dealt with."
    Seriously, WTF? Guy Benson Apr/26/18
    Gotta love public education. Yay.
    Kyle Kashuv shared the following statement from another student who allegedly witnessed Gregory Pittman calling Kyle an ass, the next Hitler, and saying something must be done about him.
    Parkland Teacher Who Attacked Pro-Gun Survivor Gets Devastating News.
    4/28/18 Conservative Tribune by: Joe Saunders
    One Florida teacher is getting a lesson in accountability for adults.
    Since the Feb. 14 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, the teenage “survivors” with politically acceptable points of view have gotten a taste of celebrity and liberal adulation many Democrat politicians spend their lives dreaming of.
    But an apparently quick-tempered teacher at the school is finding out things can be a little different if you’re actually old enough to vote.
    Greg Pittman, an American history teacher at Stoneman Douglas, is under investigation by the Broward County School District for remarks he allegedly made in class comparing pro-Second Amendment student Kyle Kashuv to Adolph Hitler, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Friday.
    Student Activists Plan Another Gun Walkout – the Reason Will Surprise You!
    5/02/18 TheBlaze by: Aaron Colen
    Students across the country plan to participate in a walkout protest to show their support for the Second Amendment, working to push back against the narrative that all students are in favor of stricter gun control laws, USA Today reported.
    The walkout, “Stand for the Second,” is being organized by New Mexico high school student Will Riley.
    “I’m watching the news and I see they’re saying, ‘Well we have to do something about this. We have to enact some sort of gun control legislation because this is what the kids are asking for.’ And I’m thinking, ‘I’m not asking for that,'” Riley told the Carlsbad Current-Argus last month:
    “I look at my friends and I think ‘They’re not asking for that.’ I wanted to give a voice to all of the people who feel that they’re being misrepresented by the media.”
    “I founded this movement of my own volition because I see the imminent threat for my generation’s future posed by the attack on our Second Amendment rights,” Riley wrote on the organization’s website.
    Liberal MELTDOWN Predicted When Trump Addresses This Conference.
    5/1/18 Town Hall by: Matt Vespa
    The news broke on Sunday. President Donald J. Trump will be addressing the National Rifle Association's Annual Meeting in Dallas this week.
    The event, which kicks off on Thursday, will have close to 80,000 people attending the three-day event.
    Eight hundred exhibitors will also set up shop, displaying the latest in firearms and firearms technology to those who support freedom and the U.S. Constitution.
    The event will also have scores of seminars on firearm laws, concealed carry, how to engage law enforcement, and crime prevention strategies.
    For history buffs, there will be a seminar on the firearms used during the Vietnam War.
    Vice President Mike Pence has already been slated to speak, there were rumors over the weekend that the president would also address the convention, according to White House officials.
    The NRA has now confirmed this:
    President Trump will be speaking at NRAAM:
    President Donald J. Trump has confirmed that he WILL speak at the NRA-ILA Leadership Forum on May 4 in Dallas, Texas during NRA's Annual Meetings and Exhibits!
    “I am honored to welcome President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence to the NRA Convention in Dallas this Friday,” said Chris W. Cox, executive director of the NRA-ILA. “While I’m sure there will be a meltdown on the Left, we will be unapologetic in our celebration of American Freedom!”
    The meeting will also be a time for supporters of the Constitution and Second Amendment freedoms to unite, rally, and be reminded of the fight that’s before us.
    The tragic school schooling at Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland, Florida set off the latest offensive on our civil rights.
    Instead of focusing on school safety, the anti-gun Left has hijacked yet another tragedy to push their agenda. They’ve also recruited high school students to quarterback their efforts. In times past, other states, normally anti-gun states, passed laws that further constrained gun rights. The silver lining was that it was contained to the blue states, those with already anti-gun laws on the books.
    Now, we’re seeing this activism leach into our areas.
    Good for you Mr. President and thank you for standing up for the men / women who not only enjoy their guns but are the most responsible people in the Country. MAGA!
    Wow! I would absolutely love to be there and feel the American spirit in a place where only conservatives would be comfortable with the Second Amendment, free speech. Thank you, President Trump! You are a real American with the spirit and cajones needed to MAGA!
    Justice Thomas Finally Gets The Recognition He Deserves!
    Sep/26/17 Free Beacon by Charles Russell.
    The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture added a display featuring Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas shortly before the museum’s one-year anniversary on Sunday.
    The display will honor both Thomas and Thurgood Marshall, the only other black justice to serve on the nation’s highest court, the Washington Times reported Monday.
    The museum, which opened last year in September, came under fire for barely including Thomas, despite his distinguished life and legal career.
    Thomas, who became chairman of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in 1982 and was later nominated to the Supreme Court by President George H.W. Bush, was not showcased, while Anita Hill, the woman who accused him of sexual harassment, was portrayed as a woman of courage.
    Some conservative observers saw the omission of Thomas, a noted conservative jurist who tries to uphold the Constitution’s original meaning, as a form of ideological bias among Smithsonian officials.
    Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz wrote a letter to the museum’s curators last year saying he was “deeply disturbed” by the omission. Cruz called Thomas an “intellectual leader” and described him as a “Black American who survived segregation, defeated discrimination, and ascended all the way to the Supreme Court.”
    Where Will We Put Them? 400 ISIS Fighters Captured!
    'Not Simple' to Find Place to Put 400 ISIS Captured Foreign Fighters, Mattis Says.
    May/1/18 By Bridget Johnson
    ARLINGTON, Va. -- "North of 400" foreign fighters are currently in limbo as the Trump administration weighs whether or not to send ISIS members captured on the battlefield to Guantanamo Bay and the State Department negotiates with the jihadists' home countries.
    Today was the deadline for Defense Secretary James Mattis to deliver a review of Gitmo operations and proposals for its future to President Trump, per a January executive order.
    At the Pentagon today, Mattis told reporters that he'd "not seen anything come in to me today" on the issue, "and usually we try to answer things in advance, so that on the day it's well resolved -- a couple days before we know where it's at."
    "So right now I'm not working that issue. I'm not sure why. I'll go back and look at it," he added.
    Mattis said the number of foreign fighters being tracked right now is "well over 400."
    "They're not in our custody... don't use that number as if it's carved in stone, OK? I just know it's north of 400 foreign-held fighters, foreign fighters who are held there by the Syrian Democratic Forces," he said.
    "And those folks there, we have been engaging with their home countries -- 'home' being the country they were a citizen of when they left to go fight.
    Now, in some cases, those countries have stripped them of their citizenship, so they have a different view as far as what their status is today. So this is not simple."
    Mattis said those repatriation talks are "being worked principally, of course, by State Department, and we're giving all the support that we can -- but so far they're all still in SDF custody at this date."
    Mattis defended the need for a continued presence in Syria, noting "our forces are in Syria to fight under the authorization of the use of military force against al-Qaeda and associated elements, and we all know that al-Qaeda in Iraq morphed into ISIS and so it is directly under that authority and that authority alone that we are conducting Train, Advise Assist missions with the SDF."
    "That said, almost every nation in the region that is concerned with what Iran is doing. And what we don't want to do, now that we are on the cusp of winning on the battlefield, in terms of taking down the physical caliphate, the geographic caliphate, we do not want to simply pull out before the diplomats have won the peace," he said. "So you win the fight and then you win the peace. And so we're going to be working again -- I'm meeting with special UN envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura this afternoon and see where the Geneva process is and what we can do to assist. And obviously it's mostly a diplomatic effort in Geneva, but it has a military element, which says we don't allow the ISIS to come back in the midst of all this."
    ARLINGTON, Va. — “North of 400” foreign fighters are currently in limbo as the Trump administration weighs whether or not to send ISIS members captured on the battlefield to Guantanamo Bay and the State Department negotiates with the jihadists’ home countries.
    Georgia Gubernatorial Candidate Backtracks On Opposition To Constitutional Carry.
    May/2/18 News x
    Lt. Governor Casey Cagle probably realized he didn’t say the best thing possible to cement his lead in the Georgia GOP gubernatorial primary. You see, Georgia is a very pro-gun state. We had a lot of gun control at one time–holdovers from a more racist era, truth be told–but we’ve been fighting to repeal those last vestiges of Jim Crow. It’s something near and dear to the hearts of many Georgians.
    In other words, if you want to be governor, you probably need to oppose gun control.
    However, Cagle mentioned during an interview about his opposition to constitutional carry. That was…not smart. Cagle has been involved in Georgia politics long enough that he should know better.
    Still, it seems he has at least learned the error of his ways.
    Days after Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle told a news station he opposed a “constitutional carry” law, his campaign sent out a lengthy statement to supporters that he supports the law that would let gun owners conceal and carry handguns without a permit.
    The Republican’s campaign won’t say he misspoke when he told 11Alive’s Doug Richards that he was against the policy. Instead, it said it wants to clarify “inaccurate information” on social media about his stance.
    In a lengthy statement issued by his campaign manager, Cagle said he backs constitutional carry but wants an “effective process” to prevent convicted felons, people in the country illegally and mentally ill gun owners from carrying weapons.
    He also wants to keep an optional permit in place for people who want to travel out of state with their weapons.
    Cagle and his rivals for the GOP nomination for governor have feuded for months over their pro-gun chops, but the heat is intensifying as the May 22 primary approaches. The latest AJC poll shows Cagle has a commanding lead over his rivals and a tight race for the second spot in a likely July runoff.
    Now, let’s take a good look at what Cagle specifically said in that interview.
    “Georgia is in a very good position where our gun laws stand today,” Cagle said, adding he knows of no areas where gun rights need to be expanded in the state.
    That doesn’t sound like a misspoken position. That sounds like a politician who thought guns were a non-issue in the state and found out that he was wrong.
    For Georgia voters, that leaves two possibilities: one, you can trust that Cagle will support the Second Amendment as governor, which is what the NRA is banking on since they’ve endorsed Cagle, or you can pick another candidate who you feel makes your right to keep and bear arms a priority. I’m not sure anyone has impressed me enough on that score. Not yet, anyway.
    As for Cagle, I’m sure he’ll make sure not to “misspeak” in any further interviews on gun rights. It’s potentially very costly to a candidate in the GOP primary to oppose any expansion of our Second Amendment rights.
    Texas Woman Uses Gun To Keep Shovel-Wielding Intruder At Bay.
    2:00 pm May/2/18 by Tom Knighton
    A man with a shovel threatening you is a pretty scary thing for most people. Especially so for a woman, considering the muscle mass difference between the average man and the average woman. It’s often enough that a man could kill a woman with his bare hands. Give him a shovel to use as a weapon, and it’s even worse.
    Unless you’re the kind of Texan woman who understands that firearms are the great equalizers.
    Laura Williams says she grabbed her pistol and held an intruder at bay while her teenage daughter called 911 after the man kicked in the front door of her home on U.S. Highway 84 just outside of Mexia and charged her with a shovel.
    “I aimed it at him and said if you take one more step I’ll kill you!,” she said Friday.
    The man ran, but Limestone County deputies later arrested him.
    Allen Tompkins, 47, was charged with burglary of a habitation, but additional charges are possible.
    He’s held in the Limestone County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.
    The incident happened Tuesday and Williams’ daughter, Hannah, 17, hasn’t been quite the same since.
    “I felt really scared and my adrenaline was pumping so I don’t really remember a lot of it, but I’m not sleeping well at all.”
    Laura Williams was awakened Tuesday morning by a ringing doorbell.
    “I went to the door and opened it and there was an older man standing at my front door with a shovel and he asked for a lady’s name and I said ‘there’s no one here by that name I’m sorry, you’re at the wrong house, she doesn’t live here,’” Williams said.
    However, the man didn’t leave. Williams observed him outside with the shovel, so she got her daughter and her dogs and headed to her bedroom, where the family keeps their guns.
    That’s when Tompkins allegedly began kicking the door down. She grabbed a revolver and headed out of the bedroom while her daughter dialed 9-1-1.
    There, Williams reportedly met Tompkins who had a shovel on his shoulder and was heading straight for them.
    In the match of shovel vs. revolver, guess who wins.
    Let’s be clear here, there’s no reason to believe that Tompkins intended to do anything but hurt Williams and her daughter. No reason at all.
    He already knew she was home because he’d made contact, yet he still kicked the door in. Anyone who does that means to hurt whoever is in the house.
    Williams was fortunate that she had a gun and was able to get to it quickly. If not, we might have been reading a far, far different story, one no one would really want to read.
    Folks, guns save lives!
    The anti-gunners would love to tell you otherwise, but time and time again, we see that they do.
    Even the CDC found that there are roughly 2.5 million defensive gun uses each year.
    But for Williams, the statistics are meaningless, I’m sure. She had a gun when she needed it. That’s all that really matters.
    Colorado Senate Approves Constitutional Carry.
    12:00 pm Mar/16/18 by Tom Knighton
    For many people, having to apply for a permit just to exercise your constitutionally protected right to carry a firearm is ridiculous. They may do it, but they think it’s ridiculous. I tend to agree, but the law is the law and getting all of our rights back takes time. That includes constitutional carry.
    For folks in Colorado, they’re one step closer to that happy moment.
    The Colorado Senate has passed SB 18-097, which calls for allowing the carrying of a concealed handgun without a permit.
    The bill would allow anyone 21-years of age or older who is allowed to carry a handgun legally to do so in a concealed manner.
    The sponsors of the bill reinforced current laws which prevent the carrying of a weapon in schools and universities within the bill language.
    If passed by the House and signed by Governor Hickenlooper, as currently written, would go into effect immediately with the Governor’s signature.
    Unfortunately, Hickenlooper is a Democrat, and it’s not like he has a great track record when it comes to guns.
    He previously signed bills that limit magazine capacity and universal background checks.
    Without some serious political pressure, it’s not likely that he’ll sign any such bill.
    Not that it matters. The Colorado House has a Democratic majority, which means the bill would need support from at least some House Democrats to make it to the governor’s desk.
    Assuming every Republican votes for it, at least a few Democrats would need to cross the aisle. Not impossible, mind you, but unlikely.
    Still, it’s a positive development for people in Colorado. Careful politicking could make it happen, and, at worst, it reminds the people of Colorado just how certain members of the House – and their governor – feel about them. In particular, not trusting them with firearms.
    Colorado may be leaning Democrat, but it only went for killary by a few points in 2016. Enough pressure could very well force the state to swing toward a more sane firearm policy, if nothing else.
    People just need to understand that all constitutional carry does is remove a burden from the law-abiding. The criminals are going to carry guns regardless of what the law says. We’ve seen that thousands of times at this point. They don’t care what the law says about it; they’re going to do it anyway.
    So the laws only affect the lawful citizen, and that’s a problem. By removing the requirement that people have permits to concealed carry – they’ve already been able to open carry – you allow the private citizen to carry as he or she sees fit.
    It has no bearing on the criminal population of Colorado and never will. It doesn’t allow convicted felons to carry since they can’t legally own a gun anyway. It doesn’t allow people to carry a gun if they’re committing a crime since that’s already illegal, as well.
    Instead, it lets Joe and Jane Citizen who just got a death threat from someone they know strap on a firearm for their protection.
    It allows the single mom who found out she has to go to a sketchy neighborhood slip a pistol into her purse.
    It removes the barrier that might otherwise put these people’s lives at risk.
    That’s all, and it needs to pass.
    Why Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel Is No Leader!
    4:00 pm Apr/27/18 by John Dempsey
    Law enforcement chiefs and sheriffs must have the confidence of their officers. The community they are in charge of protecting deserves to have a leader they trust, as well. Just yesterday, the Broward’s Sheriff’s Office Deputies Association held a symbolic vote about Sheriff Scott Israel’s leadership.
    As Tom noted earlier today, of the 628 officers in the union, 534 said they have no confidence in Israel. The high number of officers that voted against Israel is alarming. And it’s likely that those who voted in favor of Israel are command staff that worries about termination.
    It is safe to say this was brewing before the incident in Parkland, Florida.
    The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Shooting is simply the event that exposed Israel for his poor leadership.
    Israel is continuing to deflect issues away from himself. When asked about the vote of no confidence, he turned to money. Israel claimed the union president was attempting to extort a 6.5% pay increase for deputies.
    In response to the vote, Israel claimed that Bell was trying to “use the Parkland tragedy as a bargaining tactic to extort a 6.5 percent raise.”
    We all know this vote was about Israel’s competency as sheriff, not money.
    Seventeen innocent people were murdered, and he’s trying to make it about pay.
    Real law enforcement leaders don’t do that.
    Actual law enforcement leaders take responsibility. They understand no man is perfect, including themselves.
    They are capable of humbling themselves and admitting shortcomings.
    Israel’s diversions from the failure of Resource Officer Peterson, attacks on Dana Loesch, and bad-mouthing of the NRA are just a few public signs of what the deputies of Broward County have had to endure under his command.
    The leader of a law enforcement agency needs several qualities; they need to be respected, honest, approachable, and a servant.
    Some of the best leaders serve those who work for them. They are selfless and look out for the well-being of their men. It’s clear Israel has only been looking out for himself.
    Anytime the Sheriff is faced with a fact or question he deflects it away from his failures. Israel may not like it that his policies ultimately failed 17 children, but that is something he must accept.
    The Broward County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Parkland shooter’s home 39 times, but he was never arrested. I find it hard to believe authorities did not have enough probable cause to respond to one particular residence that many times with no crimes committed.
    Sadly, school shootings happen in this country. It would be interesting to know how much active shooter training Israel required his deputies to complete on an annual basis.
    It is Israel’s responsibility to ensure his command administration has the right people in place to protect the community should someone go rouge.
    The vote against Israel may be symbolic, but it exposes a significant problem in the Broward County Sheriff’s office.
    The next step is to take the results to the Florida governor, Rick Scott, and ask for him to have the sheriff step down.
    Leading is more than attacking those you don’t agree with politically. Israel has repeatedly boasted about his “amazing leadership” in the wake of the Parkland shooting. But as Harold S. Geneen once told us, “leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and in actions.”
    Now, we all recognize you all, and our friends in the Yuma Sector, you supervise some of the toughest terrain in the country.
    But looking out at all of you, I know that tough terrain is only matched by the toughness of the men and women that I’m looking at today.
    The truth is America is safer and more secure because of all of you, because of the sacrifices that and your families make every day when you put on the uniform and you head to your assigned duties along our border.
    You are, in every sense, the men and women who stand on that rampart and protect the sovereignty of our nation. And you have our thanks.
    America is safer and more secure because of your courage and your dedication. And President Trump, and every American family, is grateful for your service.
    As we continue to fight every day for an immigration system that puts America first, just know this: We will always stand with the men and women who stand on the front lines to protect the homeland. You’ve answered the call to service. We’ll answer the call to stand with you. I promise you that.
    In the very words of Homeland Security’s Mission Statement, each and every one of you serve with honor and integrity to “safeguard the American people, our homeland, and our values.”
    And I promise you the American people are proud of you and grateful for you every day.
    So let me just ask God’s blessings on each one of you, as you serve, that He might watch over you and protect you as you stand, too often, in harm’s way to protect this great nation.
    And let me make you a promise: With your continued courage and commitment, and that of your families, with President Donald Trump in the White House, with the strong support of the American people, and with God’s help, I know we will secure this border!
    I know we will stand with our sovereignty. We will make America safe again. And we’ll have all of you to thank.
    So thank you for your service to the United States of America. God bless and protect each and every one of you. And may God bless the United States of America. It’s an honor to be here with you."
    In Fiscal Year 2017, attacks on our Border Patrol agents actually increased by 73%. And this very sector has the highest number of assaults on agents anywhere on our southern border!
    Last year alone, across the Imperial Valley, El Centro agents seized 3.8 tons of illicit drugs in the midst of that rising violence against them.
    But let me say, the assaults on our Border Patrol agents must end! The assaults and the violence on our agents will end.
    The American people know each and every one of you, the frontline officers and agents who secure our borders, are heroes. You deserve the support of the nation!
    I’m pleased that, last year, President Trump signed into the law the largest increase in border security in nearly 10 years, investing new resources in detention facilities, new technology, and more.
    And under our administration, thanks to the President’s leadership and the courage of all of you gathered here and all you represent, I’m pleased to report that illegal crossings at our southern border have fallen by more than 40% in the past 12 months. Job well done, men and women!
    But we’re just getting started; I can assure you of that. And we’re going to keep the pressure on leaders in both parties in the Congress to do their job. And we’re going to take every step necessary to protect our border.
    A few weeks ago, as you all are aware, President Trump sent National Guard units to provide vital assistance to those of you on the frontlines of border security in the air and on the ground that our Border Patrol agents will have the support that you need to focus on the immediate job at hand. To date, we’re pleased that nearly 1,000 Guardsmen have deployed across Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, and more are on the way.
    In the days ahead, we’re informed that upwards to 250 Guardsmen will be deployed across Southern Mexifornia to help secure the border, improve operational readiness, and strengthen your ability to respond to security threats across the Imperial Valley.
    On behalf of the President, I want to thank the governors who have stepped forward to be full partners with our administration to secure our border and give our frontline officers the resources and support you need and deserve. They’re putting America first, and we are grateful for these Guardsmen and their leaderships and their states for partnering with us in our national and homeland security.
    And lastly, we’re grateful to all of you. Our southern border is nearly 2,000 miles long.
    And here in El Centro Sector, you’re responsible for securing 71 miles stretching from Jacumba Mountains in the west to the Imperial Sand Dunes in the east.
    The vast territory you patrol is 940 square miles; it includes mountains and valleys, deserts, and farmland, the All-American Canal, and the New River.
    As a sign of the strong partnerships along our borders, the seamless integration of neighboring Border Patrol sectors, I’m pleased to report that we’re joined today by Border agents from Yuma Sector, who patrol an additional 126 miles of border. To the Yuma Sector team, thank you for being with us today to demonstrate the strong, strong partnership between sectors.
    But as we all know — and you better than me — it’s not just about building the wall. The truth is our immigration laws today are ineffective, and they invite inhumane results. As the President said earlier today in the Oval Office, we call on the Congress to close deadly immigration loopholes that are exploited by terrorists, traffickers, and criminals. And we do so again today.
    Whether it be the catch-and-release program or asylum policies that don’t require people to stay in the first safe country in which they arrive, we’re calling on Congress to work with us to bring about change. And it’s change that recognizes the hardship that is placed not just on the American people, but by those who by virtue of these lax immigration laws are emboldened to make a long and dangerous journey to come to the American border. The truth is these laws create an incentive for vulnerable families, and those who would exploit them, to make that long journey up the peninsula.
    But let me make you a promise: Under this President, this administration, we will not rest until Congress passes legislation that will modernize our immigration laws and remove the message and the incentive of people to the south to try to enter our country by any means!
    That means cracking down on catch-and-release. It means ending chain migration and the visa lottery. It means cracking down on sanctuary cities and closing those dangerous loopholes.
    And it also means fully funding that border wall system so that all of you have the resources that you need to protect our families and go home safe to yours.
    The President and I both know the challenges you face every day are enormous. Every day, our Border Patrol agents apprehend more than 1,100 people illegally entering our country.
    And here in the Imperial Valley, in the last fiscal year alone, you apprehended more than 18,000 illegal aliens. Many of them come from all over the world to exploit the gaps in our southwest border.
    Weak and unprotected borders also provide easy access for violent criminal organizations and drug cartels trying to infiltrate our country and threaten our families and our communities.
    Every single day, across all of America’s borders and ports of entry, the Department of Homeland Security, I’m also told, refuses entry to seven individuals who are known or suspected to be connected with terrorist organizations.
    And the dangers are only growing!
    This afternoon, it will be my privilege to travel to Calexico to see the 30-foot high wall that’s being built there. I’m told the crews are working around the clock to finish this new wall, installing as many as 50 new panels every single day. And I look forward to seeing the progress firsthand.
    With President Trump in the White House, I know you all know you have a leader who not only is listening to each and every one of you, and standing with each and every one of you, but he’s also standing on the conviction that walls work. And we will prove it when we complete this section again.
    But let’s be clear — as we think about the hardship of those families gathered at our border in the so-called caravan, this wall is not only necessary to support you men and women who are on the frontlines of our homeland security, but it’s also a physical manifestation of the determination of the American people to protect our borders and protect our sovereignty. And we will complete it.
  • Bullheaded Texan
    They’re being exploited by open-border political activists and an agenda-driven media. And in far too many cases, on this day and every day that’s preceded it, men and women and children, like those gathered at our border today, are exploited by human smugglers and criminal and drug cartels who seize of their hardship and difficulty to undermine our laws and to profit for themselves.
    All of this cries out for action. And thanks to the leadership of President Donald Trump, we are protecting the American people by securing our southern border, and we are building a wall on the southern border of the United States of America. And let me make you a promise: When it comes to the border wall, we’re going to build it all.
    Now, for years, you Border Agents have recognized the need for a physical barrier on the southern border. You’ve been asking for a tall, strong wall system to fortify the nearly three-mile stretch of border that runs through Calexico, because this region channels so much of the illegal immigration, criminal activity, and illicit drugs that flow into Southern Mexifornia and spread across the nation.
    VP Pence Hits “Inhumane Immigration Law” In Mexifornia.
    May/2/18
    Our immigration system invites inhumane results
    This week, the “caravan” from Central America began arriving at the U.S. border. Vice President Pence traveled to El Centro Station in Mexifornia Monday to address the situation with American Border Patrol officials. “We’re grateful to each and every one of you,” the Vice President said.
    This situation is a direct result of our weak immigration laws, President Trump said. “The truth is our immigration laws today are ineffective, and they invite inhumane results,” Vice President Pence explained in California. “We call on the Congress to close deadly immigration loopholes that are exploited by terrorists, traffickers, and criminals.”
    Vice President Pence delivered the following remarks in Mexifornia:
    THE VICE PRESIDENT: "Well, thank you, Chief. Thank you for those kind words of welcome. And why don’t you all join me in congratulating Chief Chavez for her new assignment right here. I’m just — I’m grateful for a 22-year veteran of Customs and Border Protection now being the Chief Patrol Agent here in this vitally important sector."
    And to Acting Chief Carla Provost, thank you for your extraordinary leadership as the Acting Chief of this vital agency in the life of our nation. Would you join me in thanking Chief Provost for her great leadership?"
    To Director Pete Flores, Director Sylvia Carrizoza, and to all of you — to the brave men and women of Homeland Security, from Border Patrol, Air and Marine Operations, Office of Field Operations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, Enforcement and Removal Operations — is my great honor to stand with so many great and brave American heroes in California’s Imperial Valley here at El Centro Station. Give yourselves a round of applause.
    And as I begin today, allow me to bring greetings from a great champion of America’s law enforcement in the United States, but someone who is a great, great admirer for everyone who sees to the security of the homeland and the border of this nation.
    I bring greetings from a tireless champion of border security for all of the American people, the 45th President of the United States of America, President Donald Trump. I know the President’s commitment to the men and women of Border Patrol was on full display when he visited Southern Mexifornia not too long ago. As the President said on that day, and many times I’ve heard him say again and again, we recognize you’ve got a tough job. In many respects, you’ve got a dangerous job. And the American people understand it, and this President and I understand it, as well.
    We’re grateful to each and every one of you. The President has called all of you heroes who inspire our country with your courage and your patriotism every single day. And I want to assure you, from the President on down, we’re going to keep standing strong with the men and women who defend the border of the United States of America. As I stand before you today, much of the nation’s attention has been focused on the so-called “caravan,” which has made its way up from Central America, and now, with some 150 people, has arrived at the American border. As President Trump said on Saturday night, this situation is a direct result of our weak immigration laws and our porous border. This caravan, like those who have gone before, is also rightly understood as a deliberate attempt to undermine the laws of this country and the sovereignty of the United States.
    Thanks to the cooperation of the Mexican government, the caravan has been reduced from thousands to less than 150 that are at our border today. And make no mistake about it — and I say this from my heart: Every American should understand these people are victims.
    BREAKING Trump JUST Scored HUGE N. Korean Victory
    5/02/18 Business Insider by: Alex Lockie
    North Korea has released three US detainees in the country, according to media reports, and it meets some of President Donald Trump demands for Pyongyang to demonstrate sincerity before the historic meeting between Trump and Kim Jong Un.
    Kim Dong-cheol, Kim Sang-deok, and Kim Hak-seong — three US citizens detained in North Korea for years — have been released from a suspected labor camp and given health treatment and ideological education in Pyongyang, according to the Financial Times.
    "We heard it through our sources in North Korea late last month. We believe that Mr Trump can take them back on the day of the US-North Korea summit or he can send an envoy to take them back to the US before the summit," said Choi Sung-ryong, who campaigns for the release of detainees in North Korea.
    The news follows Trump's National Security Adviser, John Bolton, calling for the release of the detainees. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reportedly spoke with Kim about the detainees during the pair's secretive meeting in April.
    “Yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling preventing the removal of certain aliens convicted of aggravated felonies that constitute “crimes of violence” highlights the danger posed by congressional inaction.
    This case, first argued and briefed under the obuma Administration, gives Congress a clear opportunity to finally close dangerous loopholes: Congress should immediately pass a fix to close these loopholes so that the United States can promptly remove violent criminal aliens from our country. Unless Congress acts, the United States Government will be unable to remove from our communities many non-citizens convicted of violent felonies, including in some cases domestic assault and battery, burglary, and child abuse. It is a matter of vital public safety for Congress to act now.”
    President Trump Ends Catch And Release: What You Need To Know;
    Apr/9/18
    President Trump directed his Administration to end “catch and release” and enhance immigration enforcement efforts.
    On Friday, the President signed a Memorandum directing his Administration to promptly submit reports laying out what further steps are needed to strengthen immigration enforcement, secure our border, and end “catch and release,” the dangerous practice whereby aliens who have violated our Nation’s immigration laws are released into the United States shortly after their apprehension.
    Within 45 days, the Departments of Homeland Security, Defense, Justice, and Health and Human Services will submit a report outlining past and ongoing efforts to end “catch and release.” Another report will be submitted within 75 days detailing what additional resources or authorities are needed to finally and fully achieve this goal.
    President Trump also directed his Administration to submit a report within 60 days laying out all measures currently being pursued to ensure removable aliens are returned to their home countries. This report will include diplomatic measures being pursued against countries that refuse to take back nationals who are being removed from the United States.
    Catch and release has allowed an influx of illegal aliens to enter and remain in the United States and only encourages more and more illegal immigration.
    Legal loopholes continue to obstruct immigration enforcement efforts, leading to a significant number of illegal aliens being detained and subsequently released into the interior of the United States. For example, DHS can only detain accompanied minors who enter as part of a family unit for a maximum of 20 days based on a court’s interpretation of a consent decree from twenty years ago. Constraints on immigration enforcement also ensure that nearly all family units apprehended at the border are released. Current law entirely prohibits unaccompanied alien children (UAC) who are not from Canada or Mexico from being promptly returned to their home countries. As a result, more than 107,000 UAC have been released into the United States since fiscal year 2016. Finally, despite repeated requests to Congress for more funding, DHS lacks sufficient resources to ensure detention space to meet operational needs.
    It is time to empower Federal authorities by providing them with the legal authority and resources they need to effectively enforce our Nation’s immigration laws. Otherwise, the influx of illegal aliens into the United States will only continue.
    He’s trying…. no president in history has had to fight for every inch taken and will probably have to for his entire term as president! Trump haters, liberals, Democrats, judges, and RINOS will try to hinder him in ANY way they are able.
    AdWeek reports, “Hannity finished the month ranked No. 1 among total viewers (3.3 million) and No. 1 among the A25-54 demo (678,000). Rachel Maddow finished No. 2 across cable news in both categories.”
    The Latest: Wife reports assault by parolee in RV chase.
    May/2/18 AP News
    BAKERSFIELD, Mexifonia. — The Latest on a paroled sex offender who remains missing after leading police on a chase in a motor home (all times local):
    12:35 p.m.
    Investigators are releasing more details about a paroled sex offender who remains missing after he led them on an hours-long chase in a motor home with his two young children inside.
    Capt. Darren Harris with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says a customer at a Starbucks in Santa Clarita called police Tuesday morning to report a woman had been threatened by her husband and needed help.
    Harris says the customer reported the woman was panhandling and said her husband was forcing her to try to get some money. She said that her husband was back at home with a gun, apparently referring to the couple's motor home. A police chase ensued for more than three hours when deputies tried to talk with the woman's husband, Stephen Houk.
    Harris says Houk's wife then told deputies that Houk had assaulted her earlier that morning and later loaded a gun and pointed it at her.
    He says preliminary information indicates the couple recently traveled to California from Oregon, where Houk has been convicted of felony sodomy.
    9:25 a.m.
    Authorities say a paroled sex offender who remains missing after he led them on an hours-long chase in a motor home with his two young children inside should be considered "armed and dangerous."
    The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Wednesday that a manhunt is underway for 46-year-old Stephen Houk.
    Houk is a registered sex offender on parole for a sex crime in Oregon.
    Detectives tried to arrest Houk on Tuesday after the sheriff's department says he had a fight with his wife. That led to a chase in Hollywood that lasted for hours before it ended 100 miles away in an almond orchard north of Bakersfield.
    Houk escaped capture. His children were found safe inside the RV and reunited with their mother.
    9:20 p.m.
    Authorities are looking for a paroled sex offender they say led them on a 100-mile chase from Los Angeles in a motor home with his two young children inside before escaping.
    The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says detectives on Tuesday tried to arrest a 46-year-old Oregon man who had a fight with his wife and was wanted for child abduction and weapons violations.
    That led to a chase into Hollywood and then north by freeway with more than a dozen CHP patrol cars following the motor home.
    Hours later, the RV finally stopped in an orchard north of Bakersfield. His children, a 3-year-old boy and an 11-month-old girl, were found safe but Houk wasn't in the motor home.
    Authorities say the man, Stephen Houk, is believed to be armed.
    Under Pressure: Some Democrats Want Vampire killary To Return The Cash She's Sucking Out Of The DNC!
    May/2/18 Matt Vespa
    A lot of Democrats want the clintons to just go away!
    Many clintonites hit the GOP and the media for rehashing the 2016 election and saying we should just move on, except her royal majesty and Slick Willy keep bringing it up with their public appearances; the former first slut worst of all really.
    She absconded to India this year, where she trashed Trump voters, calling them backwards, racist, and sexist at their core. And you really wonder why this woman lost the election. She also said that while she lost the 2016 race, she won the areas that mattered, more or less, whatever that means. It was a more eloquent way of repeating the deplorables remark. So, if her inner circle is frustrated with the fixation on the clintons, they only need to look at Lady Macbeth herself.
    Red state Democrats fled from these remarks, because they truly believe they’re not helpful, along with being insufferable snobby, or are they just worried about re-election. Maybe it’s a bit of both.
    As she whines and sulks alone, her party is still paying for her epic defeat—literally. The Democratic National Committee has paid her nearly $2 million for access to her email lists, while the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee had paid around $700,000. The DNC is already cash-strapped and virtually bankrupt, taking out nearly $2 million in loans to keep the lights on.
    Kim and Moon during the summit promised to work toward the "complete denuclearization" of the Korean Peninsula, though they did not mention specific plans or timetables. They also agreed to work toward formally ending the 1950-53 Korean War and push for three-way talks with Washington or four-way talks that also include Beijing to do so.
    The Koreas can't officially end the war themselves because South Korea wasn't a direct signatory to the armistice that stopped the fighting but left the peninsula technically in a state of war.
    More substantial discussions on the North's denuclearization -- including what, when and how it would occur -- are expected between Kim and President Donald Trump, who could meet in May or June. On Monday, Mr. Trump suggested the Korean Demilitarized Zone could be a possible option to host the eventual talks, calling it an "intriguing" choice.
    North Korea has asked that the U.S. make a pledge to not invade North Korea, and then it would move forward in giving up its nuclear weapons. Of course, there are obstacles and North Korea has made similar overtures that ended in no progress being made towards its nuclear weapons program. Well, now, in another win for Trump, North Korea has released U.S. prisoners (via Business Insider):
    North Korea has released three US detainees in the country, according to media reports, and it meets some of President Donald Trump demands for Pyongyang to demonstrate sincerity before the historic meeting between Trump and Kim Jong Un.
    Kim Dong-cheol, Kim Sang-deok, and Kim Hak-seong — three US citizens detained in North Korea for years — have been released from a suspected labor camp and given health treatment and ideological education in Pyongyang, according to the Financial Times.
    "We heard it through our sources in North Korea late last month. We believe that Mr Trump can take them back on the day of the US-North Korea summit or he can send an envoy to take them back to the US before the summit," said Choi Sung-ryong, who campaigns for the release of detainees in North Korea.
    The news follows Trump's hawkish National Security Adviser, John Bolton, calling for the release of the detainees. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reportedly spoke with Kim about the detainees during the pair's secretive meeting in April.
    Once again, the forces working against Trump predicted one thing and turned out to be totally wrong. A handful of House Republicans officially nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize today—and yes, it’s not ludicrous to say he deserves it. Trump has done more on this issue than Bush or Obama that’s for sure. If I were a Democrat looking, I’d be pounding Maalox right now. The Russian collusion investigation is going nowhere concerning the realm of impeachment because there’s no evidence the Trump team colluded with the Kremlin. The economy is bouncing back. And now the world is set to take one huge step towards peace in Asia thanks to Trump’s efforts.
    Hear That Dems? North Korea Pulls Plug On Nuke Site, Releases U.S. Prisoners Ahead Of Summit.
    May/2/18 5:30 PM Matt Vespa
    They said Donald J. Trump couldn’t be taken seriously. He’s degrading American prestige around the world. He’ll blow up the world. He shouldn’t be tweeting. Stop the tweeting for the sake of world peace. If he keeps mocking North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, there will be no diplomatic solution. Yeah, it must suck to suck because all of this was wrong. The missile tests North Korea conducted that earned Kim the nickname “rocket man” by Trump led to a series of crushing sanctions that were magnified by China’s decision to put pressure on Pyongyang as well. Now, they’re at the negotiating table. South Korea has given the Trump White House huge credit for laying down the groundwork. Both sides had agreed to denuclearizing the peninsula, officially ending the decades-long Korean War, and sign a peace treaty. If all pans out, and we have a long road ahead of us here, then Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, which would lead to a triggering of epic proportions among left-wingers. CBS News reported today that North Korea started to pull the plug on its nuclear testing site. President Trump also suggested the demilitarized zone on the 38thparallel as a potential meeting spot.
    U.S. intelligence says the North Koreans have started pulling cables from the tunnels at their nuclear test site -- a first step toward closing them down, CBS News' national security correspondent David Martin reports. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has vowed to shut down the country's nuclear test site in May, Seoul's presidential office said on Sunday.
    Kim had made the comments during his summit with South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Friday at a border truce village. The leaders of the two countries met Friday for the first time since 1953.
    TRAGIC: Military Plane Fatally Crashes in Georgia.
    May/2/18 5:30 P Timothy Meads
    The Associated press reports that all 9 passengers have died after a 60 year cargo plane crashed today.
    All 9 passengers were Puerto Ricans.
    "A crew of nine Puerto Ricans were flying an Air National Guard C-130 into retirement in Arizona when it crashed onto a highway in Georgia on Wednesday, and authorities said there appeared to be no survivors.
    The plane crashed onto state highway 21 moments after taking off from the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, narrowly missing people on the ground and sending an orange and black fireball into the sky.
    “It miraculously did not hit any cars, any homes,” Effingham County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Gena Bilbo said. “This is a very busy roadway.”
    "The plane was more than 60 years old, said Isabelo Rivera, Adjutant General of Puerto Rico’s National Guard. Belonging to the 156th Air Wing, it was used to rescue U.S. citizens stranded in the British Virgin Islands following Hurricane Irma and ferry supplies to the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria last year.
    “The planes that we have in Puerto Rico — it’s not news today that they are the oldest planes on inventory,” Rivera said. Puerto Rico’s National Guard has five other similar planes, two of which are not in use because they require maintenance, he said."
    The names will not be released until the next of kin notification process has been completed within 24 hours.
    ORIGINAL:
    Another fatal military accident has shocked the nation as nine people on board National C-130 crashed nearby Savannah, Georgia. However, the military has not released numbers on how many individuals have died.
    "There were airmen on the plane who were deceased, but we're not giving out any numbers at this time," Master Sgt. Roger Parsons of the guard said.
    The plane accident was recorded via a security camera miles away. The plane is seen going down before a fireball of black smoke erupts from the scene.
    Witnesses told CNN that the pilot's calculated emergency landing saved many lives.
    From CNN:
    "Truck driver Roger Best works for a transportation company in Garden City, about 4 miles south of the crash, and saw the plane overhead before it plummeted to the ground. It was so low when it passed over that it rumbled the ground beneath his rig, he said.
    His company handles hazardous materials, he said, expressing gratitude that the aircraft didn't crash in his immediate vicinity. "If he did this area is a giant bomb and this whole five-mile radius would have blown up," he told CNN over Facebook, calling the pilot a hero for avoiding the area. "He barely made it over the tree line and it looked as if he tried to turn and nose dive straight into the ground right in front of me."
    There have now been several fatal military accidents on American soil this year, with 16 members of the military being killed. It is unclear what caused this crash.
    Members of Congress Nominate President Trump for Nobel Peace Prize.
    May/2/18 4:30 PM Lauretta Brown
    A group of 18 House Republicans officially nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize Wednesday.
    The initiative was led by Rep. Luke Messer (R-IN), who is in a close primary for a Senate seat.
    "Since taking office, President Trump has worked tirelessly to apply maximum pressure on North Korea to end its illicit weapons program and bring peace to the region," they write in a letter to the Norwegian Nobel Committee. “His Administration successfully united the international community, including China, to impose one of the most successful international sanctions regimes in history. The sanctions decimated the North Korean economy and have been largely credited for bringing North Korea to the negotiating table.”
    Many conservative members joined Messer’s letter including Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), and Rep. Diane Black (R-TN).
    South Korean President Moon Jae-in agreed Monday that “President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize" for his efforts in securing peace for North and South Korea.
    Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said on Fox News Sunday "that Trump would deserve the prize if his peace efforts succeed and said he would want to witness it.
    “I want to be there,” he said. “It may be the first time the Nobel Peace Prize was given and there was mass casualties because I think a lot of liberals would kill themselves if they did that.”
    Anti-Gunners Plan To Protest NRA Convention, President Trump In Dallas.
    6:00 pm May/2/18 by Tom Knighton
    It seems 'leftists' don’t want either the National Rifle Association or President Trump in town this week. Big shock, right? I mean, it’s not like the anti-gun left doesn’t vehemently hate both with a burning passion.
    Well, unsurprisingly, there are plans in place to protest both.
    There’s a calm in downtown Dallas as the Convention Center gets set up for the NRA Convention.
    However, a storm may be on its way.
    President Trump will be speaking on Friday, and the protestors are getting ready.
    “It’s really scary to have this man in our city,” Dominique Alexander, president of Next Generation Action Network said. The organization is planning a protest at 6:30 pm on Friday. Alexander says, “We are going to make sure that the NRA knows they are not welcome here in Dallas,” Alexander said. They are expecting thousands of people.
    There is also a petition signed by more than 40,000 people asking the city of Dallas to revoke the funds it put towards hosting the convention.
    They really think they can pull this in Dallas, Texas? Seriously?
    Oh, I have no doubt they got the signatures they said they did. And I suspect they’ll get the numbers they say they will. That’s not what I find incredulous.
    No, what I find funny is that they think they can convince either Trump or the NRA that Texas isn’t in their corner.
    'Texas has a reputation as the most pro-gun state in the country!' Texans love their guns!
    Yet these anti-gunners think they can gather in a single place–probably requiring every anti-gun person in the entire state and most from out of state–and convince the NRA and President Trump that they’ve lost Texas.
    What’s next? Trying to convince us that Mexifornia is a pro-gun Mecca?
    One thing we can count on is the likelihood that this will be a very peaceful protest. While the anti-gun left has a fondness for throwing rocks, bottles, and Molotov cocktails, I suspect there won’t be much of that this time around. After all, this is the NRA we’re talking about here. People will have guns!
    Rocks count as deadly weapons by most people’s estimation. (And probably Texas State Law.)
    Not to mention anti-gunners already think gun owners are unstable and looking for any reason to shoot people.
    In this case, that misrepresentation may well help keep the protest nice and peaceful.
    However, let’s also note how they’re talking about how terrified they are that the President will be in Dallas.
    I’m just wondering how someone afraid of someone else’s geographical location and the mere presence of people who are pro-gun is going to muster the courage to actually confront anyone they disagree with.
    Just goes to show, anti-gun nuts, ARE NUTS!
    Fire sends thick smoke over Mexico's Juarez and into US.
    May/2/18 6:32 PM AP News
    MEXICO CITY: — A fire broke out at a recycling plant on the outskirts of Ciudad Juarez on Wednesday, sending thick clouds of heavy black smoke billowing across the border city and into El Paso, Texas.
    The Juarez municipal government said via Twitter that the fire was reported at 2:30 a.m. on a 911 call.
    Mayor Armando Cabada said via Facebook that there were no injuries, but he added the blaze was creating "environmental damage" with winds carrying the smoke northward.
    Juarez authorities declared an environmental emergency due to harmful particulate matter in the smoke, and people in its path were advised to stay inside, shut windows and doors and not use air conditioners.
    Firefighters sprayed water on burning piles, but Juarez civil defense chief Efren Matamoros described as highly flammable, compacted bales of plastic, cardboard and other material. "When these bales catch fire, it is impossible to extinguish them until they consume themselves," Cabada said.
    He added that authorities were investigating whether the recycler has been operating with the proper permits.
    "We are tracking down the owner of the lot, the owner of that recycling plant, to press charges because it is causing severe damage to our environment," Cabada said
    "Regrettably, the wind today has a south-to-north direction, and it's contaminating practically the whole city."
    Up until now, the Canadians have claimed it as a point of pride to quickly accept and resettle the new arrivals while bashing President Trump for his “immigrant unfriendly” policies.
    But now Canada is running out of room and resources to take them all in and the Prime Minister would like us to do a better job of screening them.
    That announcement provoked a lot of questions for Trudeau in his country’s Parliament yesterday. People were demanding answers as to how the situation has gotten so far out of hand and what Trudeau planned to do about it.
    All he seemed to have for an answer is that it’s the fault of the United States.
    TRENDING:
    The Atlantic: Hillary 'really does need to stop'
    
    Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his ministers faced questions in parliament on Tuesday a day after Reuters reported that Canada wants the legal authority to turn back thousands of asylum seekers crossing the border illegally.
    A Canadian official familiar with the matter told Reuters that Canada wants to amend a bilateral agreement to allow it to block border-crossing refugee claimants but that the United States is not cooperating.
    Under the Safe Third Country Agreement, or STCA, asylum seekers who arrive at a formal Canada-U.S. border crossing going in either direction are turned back and told to apply for asylum in the first country they arrived in.
    Canada wants the agreement rewritten to apply to the entire border.
    This question is no longer limited to simply the Nigerian asylum applicants. Canada is vast in territory, but tiny compared to the United States when it comes to population and resources. There are simply too many people taking advantage of their widely advertised generosity and now the legislature wants Trudeau to do something about it. He’s hoping to rely on the Safe Third Country Agreement (STCA), a deal reached between the U.S. and Canada which says that asylum seekers should petition the first safe country they arrive in for asylum before moving on to another nation.
    But here’s the catch: the agreement only applies to migrants presenting themselves for admission at a legal border crossing station. It doesnt’ apply to those entering either country illegally. And while that crossing in upstate New York may look like a sanctioned crossing station since Canada set up trailers and help desks to assist all the new arrivals, it’s not an actual border crossing. The people walking across at that location are still technically emigrating from the United States illegally. But it remains a unique situation because the Canadians haven’t been turning them away and we obviously have no incentive to stop them from leaving.
    Trudeau would like the United States to alter the STCA so it also applies to people crossing the border illegally. That way they can turn them back in good conscience and tell them they need to apply for refugee status in the U.S. But why would we do that? We’ve got too many to deal with as it is. Trudeau is the one who put out the welcome mat for the entire planet so it should be up to him to figure out how to deal with them.
    While we’re on the subject of the STCA there’s a pertinent exit question which deserves an answer. Why don’t we have that sort of firm agreement with Mexico? Trump has been pushing for just such an agreement to be included during the renegotiation of NAFTA. He needs to push harder. If we can put that deal in place and declare Mexico a safe third country, then we don’t need to worry about any more “caravan” incidents. Anyone arriving at the U.S. border after having traveled through Mexico can simply be told to apply for refugee status back there.
    Over the weekend we looked at a spot of trouble that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has run into on the illegal immigration front. There are significant numbers of primarily Nigerian “tourists” who are obtaining visitor visas to come to the United States and then promptly heading to an obscure, unofficial border crossing on the northern end of New York state. Once there, they cross into Canada illegally and request refugee status.
    Is This the Chief of Staff Trump Wants?
    4/30/18 The American Conservative by: Curt Mills
    President Donald Trump is getting the gang back together—or at least he’d like to. He’s certainly well on his way to assembling the team he’s always envisioned.
    He’ll have plenty of cover as he puts on the finishing touches: his frenemy speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, just last week hailed the president’s “darn good” cabinet following the installation of Mike Pompeo at the State Department and John Bolton at the National Security Council.
    Ryan even went so far as to defend the beleaguered Ronny Jackson, now withdrawn from Veterans’ Affairs secretary, calling the allegations against the admiral “baseless!”
    Now the president can accomplish the coup de grace: installing Corey Lewandowski, his first campaign manager and continual confidante, as his chief of staff, sources familiar with the matter tell TAC.
    SHOCK: Liberals Turn On elizabeth warren!
    11/29/17 AAN by: Remington Strelivo
    The liberal media continues to eat its own.
    Next up? Sen. elizabeth warren – who is finally under fire from the left for falsely claiming she was a Native American Indian, to get a job as a law professor at Harvard University back in the 1990s.
    President Trump reignited the controversy by calling warren "Pocahontas" at an event for World War II Navajo Code Talkers – but factions in the liberal media, shockingly, seem to have taken his side.
    US News and World Report published an article, debating warren's "Pocahontas pickle," suggesting that Trump could successfully use her fake heritage claims "to paint warren as an inauthentic phony" if she tries to run against him in 2020.
    But even harsher words came from the host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah.
    Noah, who is biracial, referenced Trump's nickname, stating, "When Trump says 'Pocahontas,' you might be thinking, 'Trevor, I'm confused. Is elizabeth warren Native American?' And you see, that's the question. Because for a long time, she said she was."
    Noah played clips of the blonde-hair, blue-eyed Massachusetts senator claiming – without evidence – that she was of 'Cherokee descent' and discussing how Harvard mainly hired her because their faculty was under scrutiny for being predominately white and too male.
    "Wow," Noah said. "How white is your college that when you get called out for being too white, your response is, 'Nuh-uh, we've got her!'"
    Noah also discussed Warren's recipe contributions to a 1984 Native American cookbook called "Pow Wow Chow." warren, in the past, had pointed to her recipes as evidence that she had 'Cherokee ancestors', but reputable sources have also accused her of plagiarizing those recipes from French chef Pierre Franey.
    "I mean, that would be like finding out I'm completely white, I have no African blood, and yet I wrote the book
    'Snacks For Blacks,'" joked Noah.
    Noah concluded: "elizabeth warren did something problematic, the kind of thing we rightfully call each other out for every single day."
    He also, albeit tepidly, acknowledged Trump for drawing attention to it, adding, "So as weird as it is to say, in his own way, Donald Trump was being woke. Yeah, and that's, unfortunately, the truth."
    warren has not confirmed or denied her alleged "heritage" since Trump's comments, but she has slammed him for using Pocahontas as a "racial slur."
    Navajo Code Talker DESTROYS Warren's Crocodile Tears.
    One of the World War II Navajo Code talkers honored by President Donald Trump on Monday weighed in on Trump’s decision to mock Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) at the event.
    President Trump was in the middle of honoring the veterans when he said, “We have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago. They call her Pocahontas.”
    Trump's remark was obviously directed at warren, whom he has mocked before for lying about her Native American ancestry so she could obtain a teaching position at Harvard, where she was paid $350,000 per year.
    Trump Escalates with the DOJ.
    May/2/18 True Daily Staff
    President Trump lashed out at his own Justice Department again on Wednesday, tearing into officials for not cooperating with document requests from congressional Republicans while warning he could “use the powers” of the presidency to intervene in the dispute.
    “A Rigged System – They don’t want to turn over Documents to Congress,” the president tweeted, in an apparent swipe at the Justice Department.
    Trump said, “What are they afraid of? Why so much redacting? Why such unequal ‘justice?’
    At some point I will have no choice but to use the powers granted to the Presidency and get involved!”
    The president didn’t specify the documents he says the DOJ won’t release.
    He also didn’t say which presidential powers he is referring to, though it could be anything from declassifying files to extracting documents sought by Congress to perhaps intervening in the Russia probe.
    Trump’s tweet comes as Fox News confirmed that the Department of Justice sent a letter on Monday to two Republican lawmakers declining to provide the full “scope memo” related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, saying it pertains to an ongoing criminal investigation.
    In the memo, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein lays out the scope of the investigation to Mueller. Lawmakers want to know the scope of the investigation, and whether Mueller is investigating matters outside of the scope.
    Last week, Trump said during an interview on “Fox and Friends” that he tries to "stay away" from the Justice Department's affairs, "but at some point I won't." He suggested the DOJ hasn't adequately scrutinized former FBI Director James Comey and others amid the focus on the Russia probe.
    "Our Justice Department should be looking at that kind of stuff, not the nonsense of collusion with Russia. There is no collusion with me and Russia, and everyone knows that,” Trump said in the interview.
    Trump’s tweet follows the House Freedom Caucus drafting articles of impeachment for Rosenstein as a "last resort" if the Justice Department continues "slow walking" its response to document requests.
    "Despite his repeated promises to cooperate, Mr. Rosenstein’s supervision of the Department of Justice has been sorely inadequate," North Carolina GOP Rep. Mark Meadows, the chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, said Tuesday. "Valid investigative requests from Congress have been slow-walked, stonewalled, and impeded at each step of the way under his watch."
    Rosenstein on Tuesday fired back at those lawmakers, saying the Justice Department is "not going to be extorted.”
    ROSENSTEIN FIGHTS HOUSE GOP IMPEACHMENT PUSH
    "I can tell you there are people who have been making threats privately and publicly against me for quite some time and I think they should understand by now: The Department of Justice is not going to be extorted," Rosenstein said at a Tuesday event. "We’re going to do what is required by the rule of law and any kind of threats that anybody makes are not going to affect the way we do our job."
    Also on Wednesday, the president decried the latest tactics in the special counsel’s Russia probe as a “setup & trap” after it emerged that Mueller suggested to Trump's legal team that he could subpoena the president to appear before a grand jury if he refuses an interview with investigators.
    "There was no Collusion (it is a Hoax) and there is no Obstruction of Justice (that is a setup & trap). What there is is Negotiations going on with North Korea over Nuclear War, Negotiations going on with China over Trade Deficits, Negotiations on NAFTA, and much more. Witch Hunt!" Trump tweeted Wednesday morning.
     Here’s the bottom line: obuma had no constitutional or statutory authority to create DACA and provide what amounted to an administrative amnesty program for illegal immigrants.
     It is bizarre for judges in Mexifornia, New York, and elsewhere to hold that a president cannot reverse the executive actions of a prior president—particularly when they were improper to start with. It is time the courts recognized that.
     The lawsuit filed by seven states claims that DACA is just as “contrary to federal law” as the 2014 Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) program, also created by Obama.
     The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals halted DAPA in 2015. That decision was affirmed by a divided Supreme Court when it had just eight justices, following the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.
     The DAPA program gave illegal immigrants who were parents of children who were American citizens (usually because the children were born in the U.S.) or whose children were legal permanent residents the same type of amnesty and benefits as the DACA program gave to children brought to the U.S. illegally.
     But as the 5th Circuit noted when it stopped the implementation of DAPA, letting a president exercise such power “would allow [the president] to grant lawful presence and work authorization to any illegal alien in the United States—an untenable position in light of the intricate system of immigration classifications and employment eligibility” under federal law.
     Texas and the other states involved in the successful lawsuit against DAPA had threatened to amend their lawsuit and add a claim against DACA. But when the Trump administration rescinded DACA—announcing it would not issue or renew DACA permits starting March 5 this year—the states dismissed their DACA lawsuit.
     The seven states revived their lawsuit Tuesday to counter the errant injunctions blocking Trump from ending DACA that were issued by U.S. district courts in Mexifornia, New York, and Washington, D.C.
     In January, a Mexifornia federal judge blocked Trump’s decision to end DACA.
    A federal judge in the nation’s capital recently issued another decision that the seven states argue “took the remarkable additional step of vacating the executive’s decision to wind down DACA, granting summary judgment that the wind-down was substantively unlawful … and ordering the Executive to continue issuing new DACA applications as well,” although that judge stayed his order for 90 days.
     In addition to all of the legal claims against DACA, the seven states point out that the obuma administration’s overall refusal to enforce immigration laws “caused a humanitarian crisis.”
     The states cite a 2013 federal court decision that said the obuma administration “encouraged international child smuggling across the Texas-Mexico border” because even though the federal government arrested human smugglers, “it completed the criminal conspiracy … by delivering the minors to the custody” of their parents who were in the country illegally.
     By promoting human trafficking, the obuma administration helped “fund the illegal drug cartels which are a very real danger for both citizens of this country and Mexico,” the lawsuit filed Tuesday says.
     The states want the U.S. District Court to declare the original 2012 DACA program invalid. They also plan to file a motion asking the federal court to issue a preliminary injunction stopping the federal government from issuing or renewing any DACA permits in the future.
     The seven states assert that their “lawsuit is emphatically about the rule of law.” The “policy merits of immigration laws are debated in and decided by Congress,” not the executive branch, which “does not exercise a lawmaking role.”
    DACA Should Be Overturned! A New Lawsuit Might Succeed in Doing That.
    A lawsuit filed Tuesday by Texas and six other states may finally result in the long-overdue termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which was created without legal authority by resident barry obama in 2012 to allow children brought into the U.S. illegally to temporarily remain here under certain conditions.
     The lawsuit does not address the question of whether allowing the roughly 700,000 illegal immigrants protected from deportation under DACA is a good policy or a bad one. Instead, the suit contends correctly that obuma exceeded his authority under law and under the Constitution to create DACA without the approval of Congress and without taking other required steps.
     Whatever the outcome of the suit, the ruling seems certain to be appealed and wind up in the U.S. Supreme Court.
     President Donald Trump announced in September that he wanted to phase out the program beginning in March, but federal judges blocked him from doing so after lawsuits were filed to keep DACA in place.
     The lawsuit filed Tuesday against the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in the U.S. District Court in Brownsville, Texas, correctly says DACA must be invalidated because obuma had no legal right to create the program “without congressional authorization.”
     The states contend that if Congress wants to, it has the authority under the Constitution to create whatever program it wants for the illegal immigrants affected by DACA. But the president doesn’t have that power acting alone.
     This is a critical point. Under the Constitution, the president can’t change laws strictly on his own authority just because he thinks such a change is a good idea that will benefit the nation. Congress is a co-equal branch of government and must approve new laws.
     If this were not the case, we could have one-person rule by the president—destroying the checks and balances between branches of government that are a key part of the separation of powers in the Constitution and that safeguard our freedom.
     The state of Texas was joined by Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, South Carolina, and West Virginia in filing the lawsuit Tuesday.
     In addition to lacking congressional authorization, the seven states say DACA should be thrown out because it;
    1.Violates federal immigration law.
    2. Was implemented without the notice-and-comment procedures required for all substantive government regulations and policies under the Administrative Procedure Act.
    3. Violates the “Take Care” Clause of the Constitution—the provision that requires the president to “take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed.”
     DACA essentially gives a free pass to illegal immigrants who arrived in the U.S. before turning 16 by June 2007, granting them “lawful presence” with access to a myriad of government benefits, including work authorizations and Social Security benefits.
    The leaders of the House judiciary and oversight committees, meanwhile, are asking the Justice Department to turn over documents about Richman’s FBI status and his handling of the memos.
    BOMBSHELL Reveals All About comey’s “Attorney”
    May/3/18 True Daily Staff
    The Columbia law professor, james comey used as an intermediary to help leak details of sensitive memos worked as an FBI “special government employee” for at least 19 months, during which time he repeatedly defended the FBI director in media interviews amid the killary clinton email probe.
    Fox News first reported last week that Daniel Richman was hired as a “special government employee,” or SGE.
    Records reviewed by Fox News now show he signed the agreement as early as June 30, 2015.
    The former director previously told Fox News that Richman left the FBI in February 2017, meaning he served there for well over a year.
    Sources familiar with Richman’s FBI status said he was assigned to “special projects” by comey, and had a security clearance as well as badge access to the building.
    Richman told Fox News in an email last week that he was working as an SGE on an unpaid basis.
    In August 2015, his projects were expanded to include “an examination of the implications of federal investigations being brought to state and local prosecutors.”
    comey’s memo leak contact worked at FBI for over a year, defended him in media on clinton probe.
    FBI records show that as a special government employee, Richman would "serve at the pleasure of the Director comey," with an initial term of one year. Richman's stated responsibilities included the use of encryption by terror suspects -- known as "Going Dark."
    During this time, a review of media reports between July 2015 and Feb. 2017 shows Richman gave multiple interviews defending comey's handling of the clinton email case, including the controversial decision to reopen the probe shortly before the presidential election.
    He was typically identified as a law professor, and sometimes as a policy adviser to comey.
    Government transcripts indicate Richman was sent talking points about the FBI's handling of the clinton investigation. Those talking points attempted to compare and contrast clinton's use of an unsecured personal server exclusively for government business with the case of retired Gen. David Petraeus, who shared classified information with his biographer and mistress Paula Broadwell, as well as the case brought against the late Sandy Berger.
    The former national security adviser under resident clinton pleaded guilty to the unauthorized removal and retention of classified material from the National Archives.
    Since Richman’s time at the bureau, Republican lawmakers have taken interest in his role – specifically in helping comey leak the contents of at least one memo documenting his private discussions with President Trump to the media, after Richman left the bureau. Richman first emerged last year during Senate testimony as the former FBI director’s contact for getting that information out to the media, to kick-start the Russia special counsel investigation.
    The comey memos are now the subject of an inspector general review over the presence of classified material.
    Incidentally, another “special government employee” who has come under scrutiny was clinton aide huma abedin. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, among others, previously questioned abedin's special status that allowed her to work at the clinton State Department and private-sector entities at the same time.
    In an email, Fox News asked Richman a series of questions about his work for comey as an SGE, including if he worked unpaid between June 2015 and February 2017, and if he engaged with the media about the clinton email case or other bureau matters at the request of FBI personnel including comey.
    Fox News also asked whether Richman volunteered to media outlets that he was working for comey as a special government employee when he gave interviews about the clinton probe. Richman did not respond Wednesday to the email questions.
    YOUR Tax Dollars Fund App That Helps Illegals!
    5/3/18 by: Judicial Watch Staff
    Without your consent, you have been funding a George Soros backed group that developed an app to help illegal immigrants evade justice, which includes dangerous criminal aliens. Judicial Watch obtained key documents that tell the story.
    From Judicial Watch:
    "An open borders group that has benefitted from U.S. taxpayer dollars and is funded by leftwing vile billionaire George Soros launched a smartphone application to help illegal immigrants avoid federal authorities.
    The app, Notifica (Notify), is described in a Laredo, Texas news article as a tool to protect immigrants living in the U.S. illegally by utilizing high tech and online social communications.
    With the click of a button, illegal aliens can alert family, friends and attorneys of encounters with federal authorities “Immigration agents knocking at the door!” the news story states.
    The group behind the app is called United We Dream, which describes itself as the country’s largest immigrant youth-led community. The nonprofit has more than 400,000 members nationwide and claims to “embrace the common struggle of all people of color and stand up against racism, colonialism, colorism, and xenophobia.”
    Among its key projects is winning protections and rights for illegal immigrants, defending against deportation, obtaining education for illegal aliens and acquiring “justice and liberation” for undocumented LGBT “aliens and allies.”
    Illegal aliens encounter lots of discrimination, which creates a lot of fear, according to United We Dream. “We empower aliens to develop their organizing skills, and to develop campaigns to fight American justice and for aliens to take over!”
    United We Dream states on its website, adding that this is achieved through immigrant youth-led campaigns at the local, state, and federal level."
    This is the obuma legacy on parade, as Soros and his lefitsts can abuse taxpayers and aid and abet criminals who are violating federal law.
    This is the sort of games that go on in the swamp, and exactly what Americans voted against in the 2016 election.
