Texas and six other states have filed a lawsuit in Federal court demanding an end to an obuma-era program that granted temporary legal status to hundreds of thousands who came to the country illegally as children. The Trump administration has sought to end the program, called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The administration believes the program is unlawful. However, attempts to end various Federal judges have blocked the program. According to Fox News, about 800,000 receive protection from deportation under the plan. The lawsuit asks to rescind all current DACA permits and that the government refrains from issuing new ones. The lawsuit challenges the legality of the program. Last week, a judge in Washington ordered the program to continue. The judge claimed the that the Trump administration failed to explain why the program was unlawful. “Our lawsuit is about the rule of law, not the wisdom of any particular immigration policy,” Texas Attorney Gen. Ken Paxton said in a statement to Fox News. “Texas has argued for years that the federal executive branch lacks the power to unilaterally grant unlawfully present aliens lawful presence and work authorization.” He continued, “Left intact, DACA sets a dangerous precedent by giving the executive branch sweeping authority to ignore the laws enacted by obuma' Congress and change our nation’s immigration laws to suit a president’s own policy preferences." Texas successfully led a lawsuit against another oboma-era amnesty program, DAPA. The Trump administration ended the program after the U.S. Supreme Court deadlocked 4-4 on the case. The other states joining Texas in the lawsuit are Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, South Carolina, and West Virginia. The Department of Homeland Security and its Secretary, Kirstjen Nielson and acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Thomas Homan are among those listed as defendants in the suit.
The U.S. is also a defendant. The DACA program was created by barry obuma in 2012. It granted protection from immediate deportation to certain illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children. It allowed them to request “consideration of deferred action” for two years, subject to renewal.
According to the Border Patrol, border crossings are up 223 percent over last year, which saw much lower occurances of the same.

The Border Patrol reports that, “In April a total of 38,234 individuals were apprehended between ports of entry on our Southwest Border, compared with 37,383 in March and 26,662 in February. In Fiscal Year (FY) 2017, USBP apprehended 303,916 individuals along our Southwest Border, compared to 408,870 in FY16, 331,333 in FY15, and 479,371 in FY14.”
The Border Patrol is specifically responsible for patrolling the 6,000 miles of Mexican and Canadian international land borders and 2,000 miles of coastal waters surrounding the Florida Peninsula and the island of Puerto Rico. Agents work around the clock on assignments, in all types of terrain and weather conditions. Agents also work in many isolated communities throughout the U.S.
Daily Duties:
One of the most important activities of a Border Patrol agent is line watch. This involves the detection, prevention and apprehension of terrorists, undocumented aliens and smugglers of aliens at or near the land border by maintaining surveillance from a covert position, following up leads, responding to electronic sensor television systems, aircraft sightings, and interpreting and following tracks, marks and other physical evidence. Some of the major activities are traffic check, traffic observation, city patrol, transportation check, administrative, intelligence, and anti-smuggling activities.

Despite grumblings from some Democrats and dismal approval ratings, the House minority leader aims to keep an iron grip on her leadership role, saying in an interview Tuesday that she fully intends to lead House Democrats if they recapture control of the chamber in November, as many prognosticators believe is likely.
“We will win. I will run for speaker. I feel confident about it. And my members do, too,” pukelosi told a meeting of Globe reporters and editors. She was in Boston for a Democratic fund-raiser hosted by Representative Katherine Clark...“It’s important that it not be five white guys at the table, no offense,” Pelosi said, referring to the top two leadership spots in the House and Senate and the presidency. “I have no intention of walking away from that table.”

The GOP, desperate to stave off a blue wave in November, is pounding Democrats in swing districts by linking them to the 78-year-old former speaker...And some in her own party are scrambling to disavow her.
Speaker pukelosi has had reoccuring episodes before the press, confusing President Trump with George Bush, whose term ended nearly a decade ago, as well as stuttering excessivly. The episodes have been attributed to fatigue, and other various health concerns.
The former speaker's name rallies Republicans, as they remember her for focing obumacare through Congress, saying infamously that "we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what's in it.”
Her legacy has been a burden to Democrats, and Republicans will rejoice at facing their enemy once again on midterm battlefields.
House Minority Leader nancy pukelosi (D-Calif.) wants you to know that if Democrats take back the House of Representatives, she isn't going anywhere. Sources close to her saying she was ready to hand the gavel over to another Democrat, such as Massaschusetts Rep. joe kennedy.
I say that Congress needs to pass a law that ANYONE impeding the Federal immigration process or callng for an asylum needs to be imprisoned as seditious against the U.S., instead of putting them into a prison at our cost for years!

Firearm Distributor Acusport Filing For Bankruptcy. 12:00 pm May/3/18 by Tom Knighton While people are buying guns in record numbers, it doesn’t seem to be helping a lot of companies in the firearm industry. Vista Outdoors is having trouble, for one. It’s not alone.
Now, firearm distributor Acusport is filing for bankruptcy.
To get TFB readers and gun consumers up to speed, Acusport Corporation is a distributor of firearms and related accessories within the US. They are one of a handful of distributors who assist manufacturers in getting their products to retailers and eventually to you, the consumer.
Acusport, like all of us, had rode the tumultuous roller coaster that has been the gun industry the last 10 years.
It has now come to a tipping point where a culmination of factors has forced them to voluntarily file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
Over the last year we have seen many manufacturers down-grade their workforce, trade hands and even go under completely. Sadly, Acusport has followed suit, but they are receiving a potential lifeline from Ellett Brothers, LLC.
Chapter 11 bankruptcy allows the company to reorganize and still, ultimately, remain in business, which is good for its customers.
While many stores use multiple distributors, some small ones may only use an outfit like Acusport. By staying in business, these stores have some much-needed breathing room. It can still get guns for sale.
It may want to line up another distributor just in case, mind you, but it’ll still be able to sell guns in the meantime.
However, Acusport seems to acknowledge that there may well be some hiccups along the way and that these hiccups might cause problems with distribution. That is not good for these smaller stores, which is why, again, it might be a good idea for them to line up another couple of distributors.
What the hell is going on in the firearm industry?
On the one hand, all evidence leads us to believe there’s not really any “Trump Slump” happening.
We’re seeing guns being sold left and right. NICS checks, the accepted proxy for gun sales, keep increasing.
But on the other hand, Acusport joins Remington in filing for bankruptcy, despite this supposed buying frenzy. While I get that everyone expected a higher demand if killary clinton was elected and prepared accordingly, it’s not like people aren’t buying guns.
How “prepared” did these companies get in the first place?
The dichotomy of the two facts still seems to make little sense.
Great gun sales for the past year should have picked up any slack from overstocking for a killary win, but companies are still struggling!
It’s enough to confuzzle anyone on the outside looking in.
In the meantime, let’s hope Acusports gets its house in order and customers never notice a problem.
The Second Amendment means little if people can’t get guns!
Having the right to do something only matters if you are able to buy them.
If Acusport’s customers have difficulty getting stock, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how that impacts people’s access to firearms.
Armed Suspect Has Day Ruined Thanks To Columbus Man’s Quick Action. 12:00 pm May/5/18 by Micah Rate Columbus police officers are hailing a Columbus man as a hero after he tripped up an armed suspect.
According to NBC 4, the man, who goes by the name of “Bill,” was outside of the Columbus library when he noticed a man running toward him with his right hand in his waistband. Not far behind the suspect was a police van and a police officer on foot.
On security camera footage “Bill” is seen taking a few quick glances in the suspect’s direction, as he prepares to make his move in an attempt to slow the man down.
Instead of using the cane in his left hand, “Bill” stretches his right leg out just as the suspect is about to pass him. The move pays off, as the suspect’s foot meets “Bill’s” leg with perfect timing, sending the man sprawling across the sidewalk and giving him a little taste of concrete.
More importantly, “Bill’s” slick move caused the suspect to drop his Glock 9mm, giving officers enough time to close in and slap the handcuffs on him with no harm coming to them or the suspect.

Police say the move likely saved the suspect’s life and allowed police to catch up and make an arrest.
Officers recovered a Glock 9mm pistol with a magazine containing 29 rounds. The gun fell to the ground as the suspect tripped.
Police say the suspect was arrested and taken to the Franklin County Jail.
“Cetizen involvement, be it by courage, bravery and/or fancy footwork, helped take a criminal off the streets of Columbus,” said Columbus police.
Describing the situation, one officer says, “I think it all worked out pretty good. But, I mean, a millisecond different and there are shots fired.”
During what appears to be a debriefing on the event, another officer explains why responding officers didn’t immediately shoot the suspect. He states, “Their threat was not to the point where they thought this guy is maybe trying to shoot me, he’s trying to get rid of that gun.”
Though officers did not fire any shots, they came close to letting the bullets fly. As law enforcement closes in, body camera footage picks up an officer telling the suspect just how lucky he is that he’s not leaving the scene in a body bag. “You’re lucky you dropped that (expletive) gun, man,” he yells. “Boy, you almost got shot… I almost (expletive) squeezed the trigger, man.”
To which another officer replies, “I did too.”
As for the hero’s thoughts, “Bill” explains he felt it was his responsibility to act. “I just felt, as a citizen of this town I had a responsibility to act and to help… I think people are supposed to help.”

Minnesota Liberal Also Gun Rights Advocate. May/5/18 by Tom Knighton Sometimes, it’s hard to remember that “liberal” isn’t always synonymous with “gun grabber.” It shouldn’t be that hard, at least for me, but it is.
After all, look who is typically coming after our guns? It’s not the libertarians or the conservatives. It’s liberals, right?
However, the Minnesota Star Tribune has a profile of a woman who is both a pro-gun activist and a liberal.
Here’s how Sarah Cade used to think of American gun owners: “old, fat, white guys, and they’re all racists and they hate everyone.”
Of course, that was before she got a gun.
Cade is young, biracial and passionately liberal. She’s also become a self-described gun nut and a staunch defender of gun ownership.
But she wants to be nice about it.
“I have a talent for disagreeing with people without being a jerk about it,” she said. “I don’t like hostility in any of my interactions. I’m very nonconfrontational.”
She writes pro-gun op-ed articles and testifies at legislative hearings. She lobbies her legislator, gets quoted in newspaper articles and interviewed on podcasts. She debates people online, speaks at public forums and appears in gun rights advocacy videos.
She defines the stereotype of a Second Amendment crusader.
She has empathy for people who are scared by AR-15 rifles, one of which she owns.
“I know why people are afraid of them. Like, I understand that. I know that it’s scary for some
people to think that other people have the capacity to cause harm,” she said.
And she understands just how negatively gun owners are often viewed. “There’s a perception that gun owners don’t care,” she said, “and that could not be farther from the truth!”
Cade is probably one of the more effective voices the gun community can have because she’s not a conservative or libertarian.
Gun control activists are used to dismissing our opinions out of hand. After all, we’re just crusty old white guys, even if we’re not. They can safely ignore us.
But they can’t ignore Cade! She’s a biracial woman who tends to be liberal in her politics.
She shatters everything the anti-gun activists believe about gun owners. Believe me, that’s important. It gets inside their OODA loop, so to speak. It disrupts their narrative and throws them for a loop. Now, suddenly, they have to address the facts outright.
I’m sure Cade is probably not a Bearing Arms fan. This site isn’t particularly friendly toward pro-gun liberals. It’s not intentionally, but I sometimes lash out at anti-gun liberals in such a way that it may well feel like I’m lumping Cade in with Shannon Watts.
I’m not, but I probably haven’t been clear enough on that. We need people like Cade! We need people like her badly! People like her, Maj Toure, and Colion Noir all contribute to undermining the idea of the 'crusty old white man-gun owner'.
With Cade, it becomes clear that gun ownership should be bipartisan.
While the unemployment rate news may have been good, there are some other figures out there which aren’t looking quite so rosy.
After hitting dramatically lower levels last spring, attempted efforts at border jumping by illegal aliens have surged significantly over the past couple of months.
Customs officials are reporting that border apprehensions are as much as three times higher than they were during the same period last year.
There’s clearly a mystery lurking in this story which we’ll need to figure out.-----So, we still don't know 'why' attempted border crossings spiking again!
If the Justice Department decides that one criteria is that you must cooperate with federal immigration enforcement officials to protect your citizens, that should be the end of the conversation.
That wasn’t the only win that the Trump administration scored in court this week. A judge in Maryland has ruled that the White House had the right to end DACA when Trump made the call. Judge Roger W. Titus, a Bush appointee, ruled late Monday that President Trump acted within his authority in his plan to rescind an executive order former resident barry obuma announced in 2012 as a way to protect illegal immigrants who were brought to the United States as minors.
Trump ended the order over a period of six months until Congress could legislatively solve the problem.
“This decision took control of a pell-mell situation and provided Congress — the branch of government charged with determining immigration policy — an opportunity to remedy it.
Given the reasonable belief that DACA was unlawful, the decision to wind down DACA in an orderly manner was rational,” Titus wrote.
The entire DACA question should have been as clear-cut as the conversation over federal grants. It’s a matter of who holds the authority to do what between the federal and state governments or between the executive and legislative branches.
In this case, DACA was an executive action summoned up by a president with no input from Congress. The idea that a subsequent president doesn’t have the authority to modify or even end that executive action is insane. And yet you can still find a judge willing to entertain the notion if you look in the right places.
In any event, it was a pretty good week for Trump in the courts!
Judge issues surprise ruling on withholding funds for sanctuary state.

If you are a noncompliant jurisdiction in terms of cooperating with immigration enforcement and you take the White House to court, demanding that you receive your Justice Department grant money anyway, be careful what you wish for.
Mexifornia went so far as to declare that the entire state was a sanctuary for criminal illegal aliens but demanded that Uncle Sam keep dishing out the grant money anyway!
A district judge in Northern Mexifornia has ruled that the government doesn’t have to pony up the cash until the matter can be hashed out fully in court.
The Trump administration will not immediately have to award Mexifornia a grant being withheld over concerns the state is a sanctuary for people in the country illegally, a federal judge said Monday.
The amount of money at issue – $1 million – was relatively small and was at this point only delayed, not denied, U.S. District Judge William Orrick said.
While he rejected the state’s request for a preliminary injunction to turn over the money, he also rejected a request by the U.S. Department of Justice to dismiss Mexifornia’s lawsuit.
The judge said the suit raised “weighty and novel constitutional issues” that would benefit from additional argument. Judge Orrick is not only a District Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mexifornia, but he’s an obuma appointee to boot.
If he’s concerned about the “weighty and novel constitutional issues” raised by Mexifornia’s claim then the case is in serious trouble.
I’ve opined here from the beginning, it’s difficult to imagine the Supreme Court siding with Mexifornia or any of the sanctuary cities.
We’re not talking about money appropriated specifically for individual states and cities which they’re “entitled” to.
This is money appropriated for the Justice Department to issue in the form of Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance grants. And the word “grants” is key here. As with any other grant program, there’s an application process with the applicants needing to meet certain criteria established by the agency issuing the funds. And not everyone who applies wins a grant, even if they meet all the qualifications.
NYC wanted to be a sanctuary. They just got a visit from ICE.

Mayor de Blasio kept insisting that he would remain “defiant” and that New York City would be a sanctuary for illegal immigration.
If you really want to be a sanctuary city, ICE is going to treat you like one. Immigration officials just wrapped up a six day operation in the Big Apple code named Operation Keep Safe and they arrested more than 200 illegal aliens.
Federal immigration officials arrested 225 people in a sweeping six-day raid in the five boroughs and surrounding counties, officials said.
Operation Keep Safe, as the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency called it, netted 163 people in the city between April 9 through April 14 — 45 of whom had no outstanding criminal issue.
ICE officials said that 180 of those arrested were convicted criminals or had criminal charges pending against them, but refused to release their names.
Those people now face deportation.
The feds groused that the city refused to cooperate in the arrests, claiming that it only increases the amount of people arrested who pose no public safety threat.
City officials are complaining because nearly fifty of the detainees have “no other criminal issue” beyond being in the country illegally.
But whose fault is that? The agency has been repeatedly reminding these jurisdictions that if they simply honored ICE detainers and turned over the criminals when they had them in jail, the officers wouldn’t have to go out into the community to round them up.
But when you make them do it the hard way, they’re always going to run across some other illegals hanging out with the primary targets. At that point, there’s no sense in leaving them behind if there’s room in the van.
Here’s the mayor promising to be the voice of defiance, resisting the President, the Justice Department and ICE.
That isn’t working out for you too well at the moment, sir.
You can’t say they didn’t warn you this was going to happen, either.
You were also put on notice last October that your DOJ funding was going to be cut off if you continued down this road.
Take a look around your city today. Does it look like these men are kidding?

Yesterday, the special counsel had a very tough day in court. Federal district judge T. S. Ellis was openly skeptical not only of the authority of the special counsel to undertake the prosecution of Paul Manafort on crimes that are over a decade old, but he was blatantly skeptical of the honesty of the special counsel as well.
It probably wasn’t lost on the judge that the special counsel had said in court filings that Manafort had been in contact with Russian intelligence operatives in 2016 and then had to admit, via a Brady motion, that it actually had zero evidence that this was true.
Now the transcript has started leaking out and it looks worse than the media reports from yesterday.

Despite being a front-runner for Speaker of the House, and endorsed by Freedom Works and Tea Party Patriots, challengers have lined up to take him down in his district. And it is not just the Democrats, a Republican has thrown his hat into the ring to try and take him down. Representative Jordan is a member of the House Freedom Caucus and works tirelessly to keep congressional leaders in check as Washington drives off the cliff on a daily basis. He’s so popular that organizations like the Tea Party Patriots and FreedomWorks have said they’d like Jordan to become Speaker of the House when current House Speaker Paul Ryan leaves Congress. “A House with Speaker Jordan at the gavel would actually pass laws, stand on principle and cut spending,” said a statement from FreedomWorks president and CEO Adam Brandon. “Speaker Jordan would make Congress work again.” This year’s anti-incumbent mood is so strong that even Jordan has a primary opponent on the ballot: Joseph Miller of Marion. Miller did not respond to repeated telephone calls and text messages seeking more information about his candidacy.
The two Democratic candidates seeking Jordan’s seat were more eager to discuss their campaigns.
The two challengers on the Democrat side were eager to have their 'voices' heard and have offered quite a bit of information about their campaigns. Liberal professor Janet Garrett is running a third time against Jordan. She's now retired from Oberlin, which is among the most liberal colleges in the country. Garrett supports labor unions, universal health care and automatic voter registration for 18-year-olds. The new challenger from the left is Democrat Cody Rose. Rose is a strong supporter of obumacare, hostile to the Second Amendment and is stridently opposed to the Tax Cut and Jobs Act. The young left winger works as a software developer and is as opposed President Trump as he is to Jim Jordan. Principled conservatives like Jim Jordan do not come along often, and he is an absolute asset to his district.
November is going to be tough for Republicans all over the country, and will all need our help... But keeping Mr. Jordan in office is looking to be moving up this list of priorities.
Trump Was Instrumental in Achieving Korean Peace. Apr/30/18 Going into his presidency, Donald Trump knew that the situation in North Korea would be one of the toughest challenges he had to contend with.
Thankfully, the president approached this tough challenge with an even tougher approach, levying crippling sanctions against the country while at the same time promising “fire and fury” if North Korea’s Kim Jong-un continued his aggression and hostility.
At the time, those on the left called Trump’s approach to North Korea dangerous and ineffective, warning that he was on the verge of starting a nuclear war.
Now, those who belittled his tough stance against North Korea are singing a different tune.
In late April 2018, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un held a historic meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in. During the meeting, the two leaders agreed to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula and end the war between North and South Korea that has officially persisted for over sixty years.
In media appearances since the meeting, the South Korean president has given full credit to President Trump for making it possible, and even CNN published a story saying that Trump deserved credit for bringing Korea closer to peace than it has been in decades.
Only time will tell if Kim Jong-un truly intends to hold up his end of the bargain.

Imagine, girls wanting a place to come of age and be themselves without the immaturity and awkwardness of 'gross boys'. Imagine, girls wanting to do "girl-stuff."
Sure, some of this “boy and girl stuff” overlaps. Obviously, girls can canoe, camp out, and do pretty much anything a boy can, if she wants. But whether it’s a sports team or Boy or Girl Scouting, groups formed based on gender can provide a healthy, nurturing place for kids to come of age, not suppressing their God-given instincts and preferences but rather celebrating them and learning how to express themselves and function socially within the training wheels of those of their own gender.
Because try as liberals might to erase it, gender is and will always be important.
“The benefit of the single-gender environment has been well-documented by educators, scholars, other girl- and youth-serving organizations,” writes the Girl Scout blog, and they couldn’t be more on point.
Check out this list of advantages of single-sex schools, a privilege only available to the rich. Sports teams provide similar life experiences, of course, but that wouldn’t have been an option for 80’s me.
Sadly, ‘2018 everybody’ will no longer have the option, at least as far as Boy Scouting is concerned. I am grateful for Scouting and what it meant to me growing up. I am also angry at what liberals have turned the group into, as well as the fact that, a decade from now, it very likely won’t exist.
Because tragically, the Boy Scouts’ stubborn march to ‘inclusivity’ at any cost has managed to gut the organization of what made it special in the first place, which inevitably reminded me of this key quote from the movie The Incredibles -

The iconography was, in many instances, literally Norman 'Rockwellian,' from the chivalry of a crisply uniformed boy saluting the American flag or helping an old lady across the street to the Native American symbolism incorporated into the Order of the Arrow rituals.
From the ceremonies to the symbols to the reading materials and skills learned - all were meant to teach, to prepare, but most of all to endear a heartfelt respect for our Creator, our family, our country, our environment, and the world around us.

In Scouting, progressing from rank to rank felt like it meant something, and I knew that becoming an Eagle Scout would be something I would cherish the rest of my life. Neil Armstrong was an Eagle Scout. So was former President Ford and our then-Tennessee Governor Lamar Alexander.

They were years filled with lots of “boy-stuff” under the watchful supervision of caring men and the camaraderie of other boys. Canoeing alone on a lake. Building campfires. Barely passing the ridiculously hard swim test at summer camp so I wouldn’t be the only kid not allowed on the water. S’mores. Dump cake. Hobo packets. Campfire stories. Games, teasing, and general rowdiness. Sleeping alone in the middle of the woods as a part of the Order of the Arrow Ordeal. Peeling myself out of a semi-warm sleeping bag on a freezing February morning in 1986 to watch Haley’s Comet pay a rare visit to Earth’s orbit. Picking up and sorting food for the hungry as a part of our annual food drive. Lugging a wooden sled across town to compete with other troops in Scouting skills contests, all of which involved plenty of cool “boy-stuff” like tying knots and building things.
“Want to give it a shot?” the Scoutmaster was looking at me and holding the axe out, handle first. Before walking over and taking it I tentatively looked at my dad, who pursed his lips and nodded approvingly. “Safety first,” the bearded man cautioned before he proceeded to show me how to cut the wood without cutting off any fingers in the process. As I performed that simple exercise, I remember thinking how neat it was to be trusted to wield what could be a pretty dangerous tool, and the responsibility made me feel bigger than my eleven years.
Most of all I remember how doing what I perceived as “man-stuff,” surrounded by men and other boys, made me feel at least a little bit more like a man.
Those moments began what was to be a seven year adventure and the most significant non-school element of my pre-teen and teen-aged life.
2) Created in 1910 to “prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes,” the BSA, on May 23, 2013, tragically voted to welcome into its ranks “open and avowed” homosexuality (boy-on-boy sexual attraction and behavior), thereby disavowing the “morally straight” Scout Oath its members have been sworn to uphold for over a century. Even worse, the BSA effectively waived the only legal defense it once had to preclude openly homosexual Scout leaders and gender-confused girls from its ranks: religious and moral conviction.
The BSA was forced to capitulate to sexual extremists’ political demands and allow homosexual adults – men who define their identity based upon carnal appetites for other males – to take your boys on overnight camping trips.
Once that happens, Trail Life USA will be the life raft for the multitudes.
Those who abandon the fast-sinking BSA ship will have a safe place to land.
The group has released a must-see video explaining both the history of Trail Life USA and the BSA’s tragic and financially driven cave-in to extremist political groups, hard-left corporate donors and the mainstream media.
Oh, but what a faithful Lord we serve! We are reminded in Romans 8:28, “that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Trail Life USA is indeed good. It has indeed been called according to His purpose.
And it will never waver.
In a recent interview on “WallBuilders Live” radio, John Stemberger, an Eagle Scout, lawyer, pro-family advocate and Trail Life USA’s acting board chairman, addressed the BSA tragedy and the resulting birth of this exciting new principled alternative: “Sometimes things have to die before there’s a new birth and it comes back better than before. And even our Lord went through that process,” he said.
Regrettably, the usual left-wing suspects have attempted to smear Trail Life USA by labeling it “anti-queer.” Trail Life is simply pro-purity.
As Christians, the group’s leadership has chosen to obey and follow Christ’s “I do not condemn you … From now on sin no more” example on sexual immorality – all sexual immorality – be it adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior or any other sexual sin explicitly identified in Scripture.
Trail Life’s Membership Standards state, without equivocation, “The basis for the program’s ethical and moral standards are found in the Bible.
In terms of sexual identification and behavior, we affirm that any sexual activity outside the context of the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman is sinful before God and therefore inconsistent with the values and principles of the program.
“Within these limits, we grant membership to adults and youth who do not engage in or promote sexual immorality of any kind, or engage in behavior that would become a distraction to the mission of the program.”
Under the heading “Purity,” the group’s Statement of Faith & Values states:
“Members are called to live a life of holiness, being pure of heart, mind, word and deed, reserving sexual activity for the sanctity of marriage;
marriage being a lifelong commitment before God between a man and a woman.”
“Real men value truth over tradition,” Stemberger told the cheering convention crowd. “Real men value principle over program, and they value integrity over institutions.”
The BSA has lost its integrity!
It has chosen the almighty dollar over the best interests of the boys it once served so well.

It was Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 6, 2013. The huge hall was overflowing, the convention sold out. Over 1,200 attendees, with many spilling out into the foyer, eagerly awaited the announcement. What would this safe, moral and non-sexualized alternative to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) look like?
With a stirring introductory video came the answer:
“Trail Life USA” would now endeavor to “be the premier national character development organization for young men, which produces godly and responsible husbands, fathers and citizens.”
The reveal, eagerly anticipated by hundreds of thousands – if not millions – of Americans was met with rousing cheers!
“Our mission is simple and clear,” came the official mission statement, “to guide generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others and experience outdoor adventure.”
A brief summary from the new scouting-like organization’s website (TrailLifeUSA.com) reads as follows:
“Most males want exciting outdoor adventure with their friends. We’ve got that! Trips and travel? That, too. Camping. Check. Physical and mental challenge? Yep. And awards? Of course!
“Trail Life USA is a Christian adventure, character and leadership movement for young men.
The K-12 program centers on outdoor experiences that build a young man’s skills and allow him to grow on a personal level and as a role model and leader for his peers.
Living the Trail Life is a journey established on timeless values derived from the Bible.”
Countless men and boys who once called themselves “Boy Scouts” will now proudly bear the title of “Trailman.”
Back in May, millions of Americans were shocked and saddened when the BSA inexplicably bowed to left-wing political pressure and became something it had never before been: a hyper-politicized, aberrantly sexualized petri dish for social and sexual experimentation.

Broward school district officials admitted Sunday that the confessed Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School gunman was assigned to a controversial disciplinary program, after the superintendent repeatedly claimed Nikolas Cruz had “no connection” to the alternative punishment designed to limit on-campus arrests.
Two sources with knowledge of Cruz’s discipline records told WLRN he WAS referred to the so-called PROMISE Program for a three-day stint after committing vandalism at Westglades Middle School in 2013.
When asked for a response, a spokeswoman for Superintendent Robert Runcie stated on Friday that district administrators were aggressively analyzing Cruz’s records. Tracy Clark said on Sunday afternoon the district had “confirmed” Cruz’s referral to PROMISE after he vandalized a bathroom at the middle school on Nov. 25, 2013.
WLRN’s Jessica Bakeman reminds readers and listeners that Runcie had unequivocally stated just a month ago that Cruz had NEVER been part of the PROMISE program. Runcie further accused those of deliberately creating a “fictitious narrative” who pointed at the program as the reason why both the school district and the Broward County Sheriff had never referred Cruz for prosecution despite dozens of interventions with the troubled and dangerous student:
“Let me reiterate this point,” Runcie started off during an interview in his office last month. “Nikolas Cruz, the shooter that was involved in this horrific accident at Marjory Stoneman Douglas, had NO connection to the PROMISE program.”
During the same conversation, Runcie said: “I’m not going to allow a shift from what our focus needs to be to a fictitious narrative that’s being made up about a successful program that we have in Broward Co. that has no connection to the shooter or the situation at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.”
We’re getting fictitious narratives, all right, but it’s not coming from critics.
Almost ever since the shooting ended, both the school district and the sheriff has been pointing fingers away from themselves and misleading the public about the number of opportunities they had to address the danger from Cruz!
Now we find out that not only did Runcie mislead people again, but that Cruz HAD been in that program more than four years prior to the shooting.
Students have repeatedly said that Cruz’ problems escalated during his years in school, and both the school district and sheriff’s office continued to conduct interventions. And yet, even with the failure of the PROMISE referral, they didn’t do one thing that could have kept Cruz from obtaining a weapon, they never prosecuted him for crimes or have him committed for observation.
Instead, they stood around and watched Cruz’ danger develop into a deadly time bomb that could have been defused at nearly every turn — or at least contained.

Even assuming you can somehow afford to own one in one of the most brutal real estate markets in the country, get ready for the cost to go up further.
The state government is preparing to pass a new law which will mandate that every new house, condo or other building up to three stories high must have solar panels installed and comply with a “net-zero energy” profile!
This means that they have to produce enough of their own solar power to offset all electricity off the grid and natural gas consumed over the course of a year.
Even more remarkably, they want everyone to be in compliance in under two years. What this will do to the Mexifornia real estate market, esp. for low-income homeowners remains unknown.

Mexifornia is on the verge of making solar standard on virtually every new home built in the Golden State!
The Mexifornia Energy Commission is scheduled to vote Wednesday, May 9, on new energy standards mandating most new homes have solar panels starting in 2020. If approved as expected, solar installations on new homes will skyrocket.
Just 15 to 20% of new single-family homes built include solar, according to Bob Raymer, technical director for the Mexifornia Building Industry Association.
“Mexifornia is about to take a quantum leap in energy standards,” Raymer said. “No other state in the nation mandates solar, and we are about to take that leap.”
Some people clearly like the idea of generating their own power from solar energy, assuming they can afford the upfront costs.
There’s nothing wrong with that, of course. If you live in a very sunny area you might be able to make your home largely self-sufficient.
That’s a choice for the individual buyer to make and the free market to react to accordingly.
When the state steps in and mandates it for virtually every new home, somebody is about to make a lot of money!
One representative of the Mexifornia Solar and Storage Association, a solar energy lobbyist group, is quoted as complaining that the new rules still don’t go far enough.
So if you live in Mexifornia and are looking to buy a newly constructed home, what does this mean to you?
Even state representatives admit that the solar panels and other “net-zero” requirements will increase the construction costs of a single family home by $25,000 to $30,000.
They insist that the solar energy can actually produce a net savings for the homeowner, but it will be at least a decade before most people reach the break-even point.
Additional costs include more insulation, more efficient windows and other thermal containment features.
Officials are saying there are exceptions built into the mandate, but will they be enough?
Not everyone lives in an area that gets sun for nearly the entire year. Some are in the shade of canyons and other natural structures, while others may be dwarfed by surrounding buildings.
They’re never going to reach that net-zero goal.
It also means that pretty much everyone will need to go to electric heating instead of other, environmentally friendly options like natural gas.
Not everyone likes electric heat, particularly if it means you have to run a humidifier all the time.
This all adds up to yet more expensive govt. mandates which are going to make a handful of people very, very wealthy!

Illinois Counties Become Pro-Gun ‘Sanctuary’ Counties. 12:00 pm 5/7/18 by Tom Knighton The phrase “sanctuary cities” is one of those things that’s infuriating to many of our readers. After all, these are cities that are ignoring federal law–and the Constitution–in an effort to protect people who are, essentially, criminals!
They broke immigration laws, and now these cities are trying to circumvent the federal government’s constitutional role in handling the issue.
However, in Illinois, the phrase “sanctuary” is being used by a handful of counties for a very different reason.
Several counties in Illinois have taken gun control matters into their own hands and told the state, guess what? — you’re not stripping us of our Second Amendment rights!
And thus the showdown begins.
The state has no constitutional leg in this fight.
The state, for those who’ve not yet heard, has been engaged in a leftist-pushed campaign to bypass the Constitution and impose even more gun control on the law-abiding citizenry.
The Democrats want a Chicago, statewide!
Some of their pressed-for crackdowns?
Increases in the minimum age for gun purchases. A complete ban on bump stocks.
More punishments for violators. You know, the typical yada yada left-leaners manual of anti-gun provisions.
The ones that don’t reduced crime but make the politicians feel good about themselves — all the while stripping control from the little people.
Some counties in Illinois are saying enough IS enough — we’re declaring ourselves sanctuaries for gun owners!
“It’s a buzzword,” said David Campbell, the vice chairman of the Effingham County Board, in Fox News. “It’s a word that really gets attention.
With all these sanctuary cities, we just decided to turn it around to protect our Second Amendment rights.”
Effingham is one of a handful of counties fighting against the state’s anti-gun stance.
Last month, Bearing Arms had a story about Effingham County. In particular, its stand as a sanctuary county. Now, it’s no longer alone.

In order to undermine Effingham County and their fellow sanctuary counties’ efforts, gun control opponents will have to undermine the very idea of sanctuary communities as a whole. They’ll have to lash out at sanctuary cities as a concept–which, I suspect, your average gun grabber isn’t going to want to do. The other option is that they just leave these counties alone, which is an obvious win.
Realistically, I don’t see either happening. I figure they’ll try and attack the gun aspect and sniff around and try to find some weakness they can exploit without jeopardizing the concept of sanctuary cities. This makes them far less likely to be successful.
Like I said, pretty brilliant if you think about it.
More importantly, though, it’s the right thing to do.
Regardless of what the courts have argued, any incursion into our Second Amendment rights is unconstitutional.
It’s a moral imperative to oppose unjust and unconstitutional laws, regardless of what level of government issues such decrees.
While I agree with the rule of law, when those laws become tyrannical–and any law infringing on our ability to resist tyranny is tyranny in and of itself–they must be opposed.
I’m glad to see a handful of counties in Illinois agree.
2) “What a day this has been!” Ellen’s posted on Facebook. “We want to give some clarification to an issue that has caused quite a bit of confusion and anxiety.” The restaurant wrote that it had not expected the two words “reasonable and effective” to be interpreted as support for gun control measures.
“The mistake was an honest one. The opposite is true. We support the Constitution, including the 2nd Amendment, 100%. And like the NRA, we also support finding solutions to the senseless killings that happen much too frequently. We believe those two things are completely compatible.”
Ellen’s wrote that after a “courteous and informative conversation with a customer, we realized how our message could be misconstrued and we moved quickly to clarify. By then, the situation had become viral.”
The restaurant posted a photo of a new variation of the message on its receipts. It changed the wording to say it would be donating to organizations “dedicated to implementing reasonable and effective gun regulations that protect citizens’ 2nd Amendment rights and also help reduce needless gun violence.”
It’s interesting that a “courteous and informative conversation with a customer” resulted in the change. It goes to show that a little dialogue can go a long way.
One can only hope that the restaurant’s change in tone is genuine.

Thanks to the reporting of Matt Vespa over at Townhall, it looks like the restaurant’s backpedaling ISN'T genuine in the slightest, as the decision to put the message on the checks was well part of Groves’ plan for more than a month.
The NRA tweeted screenshots of Mr. Groves saying he would put a message at the bottom of his establishment’s receipts.

Someone did research and found that over a month ago, the owner posted the following on Facebook.
“Take their money. Take as much as you can! Less funding/donations for them,” said one account, whose identity was blurred out.

NRA Calls For A Boycott Of Its Own During Annual Convention. 1:00 pm 5/7/18 by Micah Rate Gun control activists and organizations have actively called for boycotts against businesses and companies that have ties to the National Rifle Association, or sell or manufacture firearms.
During its annual convention in Dallas, the NRA engaged in a little boycott of its own!
A restaurant by the name of Ellen’s in Dallas went viral over the weekend after giving customers a message that stood in stark contrast to the NRA’s pro-Second Amendment, anti-gun control convention.
At the bottom of its receipts, the restaurant stated, “A portion of this week’s proceeds will be donated to organizations dedicated to implementing reasonable and effective gun regulations.”
It didn’t take long for the NRA to find out and let its displeasure be known, as it quickly tweeted a picture of one of the receipts to its thousands of pro-Second Amendment followers.
In the tweet, the NRA encouraged convention attendees to find a different place to eat while they were in town.
Gun rights proponents understandably would take issue with the words “reasonable and effective,” as most proposals are not reasonable or effective! When an individual or organization calls for
“reasonable” gun control, it usually means “ban assault-style weapons,” “raise the legal age to purchase a firearm,” and/or “limit high-capacity magazines.”
And when they call for “effective” gun control, it usually means regulations that will do nothing to actually prevent gun violence.
Furthermore, when the restaurant states it will donate to organizations that support these measures, the ones that come to mind for most supporters of the Second Amendment are groups like Everytown for Gun Safety, Shannon Watts’ Moms Demand Action, and the Brady Campaign.
These groups oppose the NRA and the Second Amendment every step of the way.
According to reporting by The Washington Post, the owner of the restaurant made his decision to post the message because, allegedly, attendees of the convention who had dined in his restaurant made racist remarks toward employees.
Joe Groves, the owner of Ellen’s, which serves Southern comfort food and all-day brunch, posted a photo of the receipt on Facebook on Friday, the Dallas Observer reported. He told the Dallas Morning News and Eater that he decided to add the message after convention attendees had insulted some of his employees with racially charged comments, which Groves called “demoralizing.”
“I’m making a list of the vile, racist, moronic conversations overheard from NRA attendees eating at the restaurant,” he reportedly wrote on Facebook. “They don’t even speak softly.”
Customers allegedly asked mexicano servers, “Do you keep your illegals in the back?” Groves told the Dallas Morning News, and said to black employees, “You don’t sound black. Where are you from, India?”
After the NRA sent out its tweet, Ellen’s appeared to change its tune, offering a correction and clarification for its message to customers.

2) For example, Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) recently compared how politicians in US Congress endorsed similar letters warning the President about commencing offensive strikes against Syria without congressional approval. In 2013, while barry obuma was president, 119 republicans and only 21 democrats signed the letter.
In 2018, during the Trump presidency, 73 democrats and only 15 republicans signed an almost identical letter. “Very few of us signed both,” Amash observed.
Addressing the disparities, Amash noted that “something else is at work at the macro level: double standards, selective outrage, and hypocrisy.”
I agree with him but I add mob mentality to the list.
Surely these politicians would, on an individual basis, believe that congressional approval is either required or not under identical circumstances.
Their ability to all of a sudden distinguish the law on behalf of their party is just what it seems - an excuse, to act in conformity with their party mob.
And we see political mobs in schools.
Consider the school walkouts. Instead of students being taught to help themselves by seeking out protections to solve an immediate danger, they are being politically encouraged by the Democrat party to support a remote resolution, a political objective: gun control.
How does gun control help them tomorrow in school?
After all, a law takes years to implement. A law does not physically manifest itself and magically appear between a shooter and his victim to prevent the shooter from shooting his victim.
A law does not instantaneously defend - it simply creates deterrence.
And we know that deterrence does not eliminate crime.
Why are kids not demanding immediate protection, physical protection from an expectedly non-law-abiding shooter?
Because they are being publicly encouraged not to "think" via rational self-interest, but to support a groupthink cause.
This political mob culture teaches a dangerous precedent to our youth: problem-solving via mob mentality.
Jordan B. Peterson, a clinical psychologist of religious and ideological belief, agrees that political mobs are dangerous and are prevalent in our culture. He highlights the dangers of group identity politics in an upcoming movie about college campus mobs and hysteria.
But rational, individual self interest is not dead in our political society. In fact, it may be on the rise. Consider the following politicians:
Rand Paul, Justin Amash, and Austin Petersen, to name a few. These are the “liberty” politicians. They are a breed of individual-thinking politician that is quickly penetrating the mainstream.
We didn’t have this variety of liberty candidates until recent years. Remember a time when we just had Ron Paul? Political campaign manager Jeff Carson, who manages liberty candidate Austin Petersen for US Senate, agrees that liberty politics are “absolutely” becoming more popular.
Hopefully this past decade is an indicator that independent thinkers are gaining momentum amongst voters.
It is because I fear mob mentality in politics that I prefer these liberty individuals in government.
I son't expect them to jump on the bandwagon.
I expect them to objectively consider whatever problems they will encounter. I do not even agree with them on many issues. But I am more confident in their approach to politics than I am with classic party politicians.
Voting for liberty candidates will help to diminish the political party mobs that are in Congress. We see this happening with proven independent thinkers like both Pauls and Amash.
The danger of political party mobs can be reduced if we pay more attention to our independent reasoning, especially when in groups; and, by increasing liberty representation in Congress.

Mob mentality, group identity, and groupthink describe the same type of human behavior - actions that individuals take when coming under the influence of a group, doing irrational things that are not in their individual best interest, losing their self-awareness.
Mob mentality is so dangerous that states will legislate extra penalties for crimes committed by mobs, in an attempt to dissuade mob crimes. In Virginia, for example, there are about a dozen offenses specifically addressing mob crimes. And every individual who is in a mob is held responsible for the acts of the mob, showing legislative understanding of the mob as a conspiracy and the participants as accomplices.
In the history of politics, humans have used political mobs to commit lynchings of blacks, anti-semitic atrocities throughout Europe, and destruction of businesses in American cities.
Political mobs were responsible for bringing the Nazis to power in Germany, and political mobs were responsible for bringing the Communists to power in Russia.
More recent political mobs included widespread littering of our nations’s capital and publicly burning swastikas in celebration of the political party that caused the war that achieved the most deaths of any war in human history.
Mobs are dangerous! Mobs are bad!
And yet we see political mobs in Congress. We see politicians endorsing ideas not in congruity with their beliefs, but in conformity with their party, with their mob.

The NRA’s board of directors said it is starting the process to formally instate Lt. Col. Oliver North, a former Ronald Reagan administration official, in the coming weeks.
"I am honored to have been selected by the NRA Board to soon serve as this great organization’s President," North said. "I appreciate the board initiating a process that affords me a few weeks to set my affairs in order, and I am eager to hit the ground running as the new NRA President."
NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre compared Lt. Col. Oliver North to past president Charlton Heston, the Hollywood star who led the organization from 1998 to 2003 and also had a friendship with President Reagan.
"This is the most exciting news for our members since Charlton Heston became President of our Association," LaPierre said. "Lt. Col. Oliver Oliver North is a legendary warrior for American freedom, a gifted communicator and skilled leader.
In these times, I can think of no one better suited to serve as our N.R.A. President."
Lt. Col. Oliver North was convicted on charges related to the Iran-contra affair during the Reagan administration, but the ruling was reversed in 1991.
He has been a commentator on Fox News, and Monday he announced he was retiring from that position immediately.
Brownell has stepped down from the office to focus on his family business, firearm and accessory retailer Brownells, and he said LaPierre and he had discussed Lt. Col. Oliver North as his successor.
"Discussing this with Wayne LaPierre, he suggested we reach out to a warrior amongst our board members, Lt. Colonel Oliver North, to succeed me," Brownell wrote. "Wayne and I feel that in these extraordinary times, a leader with his history as a communicator and resolute defender of the Second Amendment is precisely what the NRA needs!"
LaPierre thanked Brownell, who became president in 2017, for his service to the organization.
"Pete has served the NRA with great courage and distinction," LaPierre said. "I am grateful that he joined me in enthusiastically recommending Lt. Col. Oliver North to the Board of Directors."
"The board acted quickly and with great vision," LaPierre also said. "Lt. Col. Oliver North is, hands down, the absolute best choice to lead our NRA Board, to fully engage with our members, and to unflinchingly stand and fight for the great freedoms he has defended his entire life."
April Sets Gun Sales Record Second month in a row with gun sales record as push for new gun control continues. 5/7/18 2:40 pm BY: Stephen Gutowski April 2018 saw the most gun-related checks run through the Federal Bureau of Investigation's background check system.
The National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) ran 2,233,213 checks in April, according to an FBI document. That's nearly 90,000 more checks than the previous April record set in 2016. It also represents the second month in a row to set a record with March seeing 2,767,699 checks.
The drop off in background checks between March and April matches the industry's typical sales cycle where more guns are sold in winter months than in summer months. December tends to be the best month for gun sales in any given year. December 2015 holds the record for most checks in a month with 3,314,594.
NICS checks are one of the strongest indicators of gun sales in the United States. While there is no federal registry of firearms, NICS checks are required on nearly all sales conducted by licensed gun dealers. The number of checks does not perfectly correlate with the number of gun sales, though. Most states do not require NICS checks for sales of used firearms between nonlicensed individuals, many states use the checks during the gun-carry permit application process, some states don't require a NICS check during sales to those with gun-carry permits, and multiple guns can be sold during a single NICS check.
"These statistics represent the number of firearm background checks initiated through the NICS," the FBI wrote in its report. "They do not represent the number of firearms sold. Based on varying state laws and purchase scenarios, a one-to-one correlation cannot be made between a firearm background check and a firearm sale."
The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the gun industry's trade group, said its analysis of the numbers found that checks related to gun-carry permits may have driven the record NICS numbers more than gun-sales checks.
The record number of NICS checks came as the push for new gun control remained in the public eye, and some states enacted new laws.
Vermont's Republican governor Phil Scott flip flopped and signed a new gun-control package that outlawed magazines of varying sizes and gun ownership for any adult under 21-years-old in April. The town of Deerfield, Ill., also announced its own ban on certain rifles in April.
Both measures are now being challenged in court.

In an interesting polling data that has been tracking data over two years, the latest Reuter’s survey found that Democrats are losing their appeal among millennials while Trump’s job approval is slowly ticking upwards! reports Town Hall “In the last two years, Millennial support for Democrats over Republicans on the generic congressional ballot dropped around 9 percentage points, to 46%. The demographic’s support for Republicans has remained steady at about 28%.
Some Millennials who voted for killary clinton in 2016 are now looking at supporting GOP congressional candidates, the poll found.
And the same young voters are almost evenly split on the question of which party takes better care of the economy, with 34% favoring Democrats compared to 32% favoring Republicans, a twelve-point jump for the GOP since 2016.
White Millennials have turned toward Republicans the most. Support for both parties among young white voters is equal at 39%.
Democrats are still enjoying an 18-point advantage over the GOP among this young demographic, fueled by lopsided numbers among young voters of color, but who knows what time will tell.
But the double-digit swing on the economy is a particularly interesting data point.
The US economy is thriving, and Republicans are in charge.
That hasn’t gone unnoticed by a cohort of voters that isn’t inclined to view the party favorably.
The results of tax reform and deregulation are speaking for themselves, and people are taking note.
Not all are turning up their noses at their “crumbs”, which include more readily-available jobs and boosted take-home pay.

There could be little doubt about the purpose of the site to which Pino was posting. It was provided in the upper right corner: "We are a jihadist news service, and provide battle dispatches, training manuals, and jihad videos to our brothers worldwide. All we want is to get allah’s pleasure.
We will write ‘Jihad’ across our foreheads, and the stars. The angels will carry our message throughout the world."
There was also an "Oath of Freedom" in the upper right corner: "We were born free. We will live freely and when death comes to us, we will die freely. Jihad is changing all that can be changed; freeing ourselves through our own efforts; and the conviction that truth will prevail, inshallah."
Julio Pino, for his decision to "provide battle dispatches, training manuals, and jihad videos to our enemies worldwide" deserves to be imprisoned.
But it should have happened a full decade before he was caught for the lesser offense of lying to the FBI.
The real collusion is between American universities and the tenured terrorists they harbor.

In 2007, I sat down for a brief interview with an FBI agent. While we sat in a coffee shop in Wilmington, North Carolina, I outlined the case against Prof. Julio Pino of Kent State University.
My accusations were serious but irrefutable:
Julio Pino was an islamic jihadist who was actively conspiring with other terrorists seeking to murder American troops and innocent civilians.
The FBI eventually got Pino. Unfortunately, it took them eleven years during which Ohio taxpayers were forced to pay the salary of a man who was openly planning to wage war on his own country!
When Pino finally entered a guilty plea in federal court last month, the charge was one count of making false statements to the FBI during an investigation dating back to 2016.
The investigation concerned social media correspondences with a Facebook friend who identified himself as J.E. The feds were interested in J.E. over his alleged social media posts threatening to "kill 100s of people."
When interviewed, Pino falsely claimed that he did not know J.E. That falsehood would eventually cost him his job and will eventually cost him his freedom. J.E. was arrested on January 11, 2016, after making threats against a sitting judge.
Unfortunately for Pino, that was the same day J.E.
posted the following on Facebook: "I f*****g love Julio Pino, even if he does eventually do something that most consider horrible, I'll still love him because I know him in a deeper way than most of you even could."
Translation: Julio Pino is a terrorist who plans to kill a bunch of people. I am aware of it. And I approve of it because I am the type of scumbag who threatens sitting judges over disputes in child custody cases.
The university fired Pino following his recent guilty plea in federal court.
But that was only because they had no other choice. It wasn’t because they disapproved of Pino. He was given a faculty excellence award in 2003 after he wrote an op-ed in the student newspaper, urging children to become suicide bombers and kill innocent Jews.
They even gave him another award in 2010, long after I exposed Pino for his terrorist connections. This was also long after Matt Drudge had picked up my story and Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly had interviewed me about Pino on Fox News Live.

7 States Sue to End obuma's Unconstitutional Amnesty.

The Trump administration has sought to end the program, called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The administration believes the program is unlawful.
However, attempts to end various Federal judges have blocked the program. According to Fox News, about 800,000 receive protection from deportation under the plan.
The lawsuit asks to rescind all current DACA permits and that the government refrains from issuing new ones. The lawsuit challenges the legality of the program.
Last week, a judge in Washington ordered the program to continue. The judge claimed the that the Trump administration failed to explain why the program was unlawful.
“Our lawsuit is about the rule of law, not the wisdom of any particular immigration policy,” Texas Attorney Gen. Ken Paxton said in a statement to Fox News. “Texas has argued for years that the federal executive branch lacks the power to unilaterally grant unlawfully present aliens lawful presence and work authorization.”
He continued, “Left intact, DACA sets a dangerous precedent by giving the executive branch sweeping authority to ignore the laws enacted by obuma' Congress and change our nation’s immigration laws to suit a president’s own policy preferences."
Texas successfully led a lawsuit against another oboma-era amnesty program, DAPA. The Trump administration ended the program after the U.S. Supreme Court deadlocked 4-4 on the case.
The other states joining Texas in the lawsuit are Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, South Carolina, and West Virginia.
The Department of Homeland Security and its Secretary, Kirstjen Nielson and acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Thomas Homan are among those listed as defendants in the suit.
The DACA program was created by barry obuma in 2012. It granted protection from immediate deportation to certain illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children. It allowed them to request “consideration of deferred action” for two years, subject to renewal.

The GOP, desperate to stave off a blue wave in November, is pounding Democrats in swing districts by linking them to the 78-year-old former speaker...And some in her own party are scrambling to disavow her.
Speaker pukelosi has had reoccuring episodes before the press, confusing President Trump with George Bush, whose term ended nearly a decade ago, as well as stuttering excessivly. The episodes have been attributed to fatigue, and other various health concerns.
The former speaker's name rallies Republicans, as they remember her for focing obumacare through Congress, saying infamously that "we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what's in it.”
Her legacy has been a burden to Democrats, and Republicans will rejoice at facing their enemy once again on midterm battlefields.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) has released a new ad featuring Stephen Willeford, a plumber from Sutherland Springs, Texas who heroically chased and shot a deranged gunman who killed 26 people at the nearby Baptist church. Willeford, a good guy with a gun who stopped a bad guy with a guy, tells his story in the moving ad.

Firearm Distributor Acusport Filing For Bankruptcy.

While people are buying guns in record numbers, it doesn’t seem to be helping a lot of companies in the firearm industry. Vista Outdoors is having trouble, for one. It’s not alone.
Now, firearm distributor Acusport is filing for bankruptcy.
To get TFB readers and gun consumers up to speed, Acusport Corporation is a distributor of firearms and related accessories within the US. They are one of a handful of distributors who assist manufacturers in getting their products to retailers and eventually to you, the consumer.
Acusport, like all of us, had rode the tumultuous roller coaster that has been the gun industry the last 10 years.
It has now come to a tipping point where a culmination of factors has forced them to voluntarily file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
Over the last year we have seen many manufacturers down-grade their workforce, trade hands and even go under completely. Sadly, Acusport has followed suit, but they are receiving a potential lifeline from Ellett Brothers, LLC.
Chapter 11 bankruptcy allows the company to reorganize and still, ultimately, remain in business, which is good for its customers.
While many stores use multiple distributors, some small ones may only use an outfit like Acusport. By staying in business, these stores have some much-needed breathing room. It can still get guns for sale.
It may want to line up another distributor just in case, mind you, but it’ll still be able to sell guns in the meantime.
However, Acusport seems to acknowledge that there may well be some hiccups along the way and that these hiccups might cause problems with distribution. That is not good for these smaller stores, which is why, again, it might be a good idea for them to line up another couple of distributors.
What the hell is going on in the firearm industry?
On the one hand, all evidence leads us to believe there’s not really any “Trump Slump” happening.
We’re seeing guns being sold left and right. NICS checks, the accepted proxy for gun sales, keep increasing.
But on the other hand, Acusport joins Remington in filing for bankruptcy, despite this supposed buying frenzy. While I get that everyone expected a higher demand if killary clinton was elected and prepared accordingly, it’s not like people aren’t buying guns.
How “prepared” did these companies get in the first place?
The dichotomy of the two facts still seems to make little sense.
Great gun sales for the past year should have picked up any slack from overstocking for a killary win, but companies are still struggling!
It’s enough to confuzzle anyone on the outside looking in.
In the meantime, let’s hope Acusports gets its house in order and customers never notice a problem.
The Second Amendment means little if people can’t get guns!
Having the right to do something only matters if you are able to buy them.
If Acusport’s customers have difficulty getting stock, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see how that impacts people’s access to firearms.

Armed Suspect Has Day Ruined Thanks To Columbus Man’s Quick Action.

Columbus police officers are hailing a Columbus man as a hero after he tripped up an armed suspect.
According to NBC 4, the man, who goes by the name of “Bill,” was outside of the Columbus library when he noticed a man running toward him with his right hand in his waistband. Not far behind the suspect was a police van and a police officer on foot.
On security camera footage “Bill” is seen taking a few quick glances in the suspect’s direction, as he prepares to make his move in an attempt to slow the man down.
Instead of using the cane in his left hand, “Bill” stretches his right leg out just as the suspect is about to pass him. The move pays off, as the suspect’s foot meets “Bill’s” leg with perfect timing, sending the man sprawling across the sidewalk and giving him a little taste of concrete.
More importantly, “Bill’s” slick move caused the suspect to drop his Glock 9mm, giving officers enough time to close in and slap the handcuffs on him with no harm coming to them or the suspect.

Police say the move likely saved the suspect’s life and allowed police to catch up and make an arrest.
Officers recovered a Glock 9mm pistol with a magazine containing 29 rounds. The gun fell to the ground as the suspect tripped.
Police say the suspect was arrested and taken to the Franklin County Jail.
“Cetizen involvement, be it by courage, bravery and/or fancy footwork, helped take a criminal off the streets of Columbus,” said Columbus police.
Describing the situation, one officer says, “I think it all worked out pretty good. But, I mean, a millisecond different and there are shots fired.”
During what appears to be a debriefing on the event, another officer explains why responding officers didn’t immediately shoot the suspect. He states, “Their threat was not to the point where they thought this guy is maybe trying to shoot me, he’s trying to get rid of that gun.”
Though officers did not fire any shots, they came close to letting the bullets fly. As law enforcement closes in, body camera footage picks up an officer telling the suspect just how lucky he is that he’s not leaving the scene in a body bag. “You’re lucky you dropped that (expletive) gun, man,” he yells. “Boy, you almost got shot… I almost (expletive) squeezed the trigger, man.”
To which another officer replies, “I did too.”
As for the hero’s thoughts, “Bill” explains he felt it was his responsibility to act. “I just felt, as a citizen of this town I had a responsibility to act and to help… I think people are supposed to help.”

Minnesota Liberal Also Gun Rights Advocate.

Sometimes, it’s hard to remember that “liberal” isn’t always synonymous with “gun grabber.” It shouldn’t be that hard, at least for me, but it is.
After all, look who is typically coming after our guns? It’s not the libertarians or the conservatives. It’s liberals, right?
However, the Minnesota Star Tribune has a profile of a woman who is both a pro-gun activist and a liberal.
Here’s how Sarah Cade used to think of American gun owners: “old, fat, white guys, and they’re all racists and they hate everyone.”
Of course, that was before she got a gun.
Cade is young, biracial and passionately liberal. She’s also become a self-described gun nut and a staunch defender of gun ownership.
But she wants to be nice about it.
“I have a talent for disagreeing with people without being a jerk about it,” she said. “I don’t like hostility in any of my interactions. I’m very nonconfrontational.”
She writes pro-gun op-ed articles and testifies at legislative hearings. She lobbies her legislator, gets quoted in newspaper articles and interviewed on podcasts. She debates people online, speaks at public forums and appears in gun rights advocacy videos.
She defines the stereotype of a Second Amendment crusader.
She has empathy for people who are scared by AR-15 rifles, one of which she owns.
“I know why people are afraid of them. Like, I understand that. I know that it’s scary for some
people to think that other people have the capacity to cause harm,” she said.
And she understands just how negatively gun owners are often viewed. “There’s a perception that gun owners don’t care,” she said, “and that could not be farther from the truth!”
Cade is probably one of the more effective voices the gun community can have because she’s not a conservative or libertarian.
Gun control activists are used to dismissing our opinions out of hand. After all, we’re just crusty old white guys, even if we’re not. They can safely ignore us.
But they can’t ignore Cade! She’s a biracial woman who tends to be liberal in her politics.
She shatters everything the anti-gun activists believe about gun owners. Believe me, that’s important. It gets inside their OODA loop, so to speak. It disrupts their narrative and throws them for a loop. Now, suddenly, they have to address the facts outright.
I’m sure Cade is probably not a Bearing Arms fan. This site isn’t particularly friendly toward pro-gun liberals. It’s not intentionally, but I sometimes lash out at anti-gun liberals in such a way that it may well feel like I’m lumping Cade in with Shannon Watts.
I’m not, but I probably haven’t been clear enough on that. We need people like Cade! We need people like her badly! People like her, Maj Toure, and Colion Noir all contribute to undermining the idea of the 'crusty old white man-gun owner'.
With Cade, it becomes clear that gun ownership should be bipartisan.

Why are attempted border crossings spiking again?

While the unemployment rate news may have been good, there are some other figures out there which aren’t looking quite so rosy.
After hitting dramatically lower levels last spring, attempted efforts at border jumping by illegal aliens have surged significantly over the past couple of months.
Customs officials are reporting that border apprehensions are as much as three times higher than they were during the same period last year.
There’s clearly a mystery lurking in this story which we’ll need to figure out.----- So, we still don't know 'why' attempted border crossings spiking again!

If the Justice Department decides that one criteria is that you must cooperate with federal immigration enforcement officials to protect your citizens, that should be the end of the conversation.
That wasn’t the only win that the Trump administration scored in court this week. A judge in Maryland has ruled that the White House had the right to end DACA when Trump made the call. Judge Roger W. Titus, a Bush appointee, ruled late Monday that President Trump acted within his authority in his plan to rescind an executive order former resident barry obuma announced in 2012 as a way to protect illegal immigrants who were brought to the United States as minors.
Trump ended the order over a period of six months until Congress could legislatively solve the problem.
“This decision took control of a pell-mell situation and provided Congress — the branch of government charged with determining immigration policy — an opportunity to remedy it.
Given the reasonable belief that DACA was unlawful, the decision to wind down DACA in an orderly manner was rational,” Titus wrote.
The entire DACA question should have been as clear-cut as the conversation over federal grants. It’s a matter of who holds the authority to do what between the federal and state governments or between the executive and legislative branches.
In this case, DACA was an executive action summoned up by a president with no input from Congress. The idea that a subsequent president doesn’t have the authority to modify or even end that executive action is insane. And yet you can still find a judge willing to entertain the notion if you look in the right places.
In any event, it was a pretty good week for Trump in the courts!

Judge issues surprise ruling on withholding funds for sanctuary state.

If you are a noncompliant jurisdiction in terms of cooperating with immigration enforcement and you take the White House to court, demanding that you receive your Justice Department grant money anyway, be careful what you wish for.
Mexifornia went so far as to declare that the entire state was a sanctuary for criminal illegal aliens but demanded that Uncle Sam keep dishing out the grant money anyway!
A district judge in Northern Mexifornia has ruled that the government doesn’t have to pony up the cash until the matter can be hashed out fully in court.
The Trump administration will not immediately have to award Mexifornia a grant being withheld over concerns the state is a sanctuary for people in the country illegally, a federal judge said Monday.
The amount of money at issue – $1 million – was relatively small and was at this point only delayed, not denied, U.S. District Judge William Orrick said.
While he rejected the state’s request for a preliminary injunction to turn over the money, he also rejected a request by the U.S. Department of Justice to dismiss Mexifornia’s lawsuit.
The judge said the suit raised “weighty and novel constitutional issues” that would benefit from additional argument. Judge Orrick is not only a District Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mexifornia, but he’s an obuma appointee to boot.
If he’s concerned about the “weighty and novel constitutional issues” raised by Mexifornia’s claim then the case is in serious trouble.
I’ve opined here from the beginning, it’s difficult to imagine the Supreme Court siding with Mexifornia or any of the sanctuary cities.
We’re not talking about money appropriated specifically for individual states and cities which they’re “entitled” to.
This is money appropriated for the Justice Department to issue in the form of Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance grants. And the word “grants” is key here. As with any other grant program, there’s an application process with the applicants needing to meet certain criteria established by the agency issuing the funds. And not everyone who applies wins a grant, even if they meet all the qualifications.

Mayor de Blasio kept insisting that he would remain “defiant” and that New York City would be a sanctuary for illegal immigration.
If you really want to be a sanctuary city, ICE is going to treat you like one. Immigration officials just wrapped up a six day operation in the Big Apple code named Operation Keep Safe and they arrested more than 200 illegal aliens.
ICE officials said that 180 of those arrested were convicted criminals or had criminal charges pending against them, but refused to release their names.
Those people now face deportation.
The feds groused that the city refused to cooperate in the arrests, claiming that it only increases the amount of people arrested who pose no public safety threat.
City officials are complaining because nearly fifty of the detainees have “no other criminal issue” beyond being in the country illegally.
But whose fault is that? The agency has been repeatedly reminding these jurisdictions that if they simply honored ICE detainers and turned over the criminals when they had them in jail, the officers wouldn’t have to go out into the community to round them up.
But when you make them do it the hard way, they’re always going to run across some other illegals hanging out with the primary targets. At that point, there’s no sense in leaving them behind if there’s room in the van.
Here’s the mayor promising to be the voice of defiance, resisting the President, the Justice Department and ICE.
That isn’t working out for you too well at the moment, sir.
You can’t say they didn’t warn you this was going to happen, either.
You were also put on notice last October that your DOJ funding was going to be cut off if you continued down this road.
Take a look around your city today. Does it look like these men are kidding?
It's time to consider some new policies when it comes to illegal aliens.
If not, perhaps the citizens of New York City could consider new management at City Hall before this situation gets further out of hand.

Yesterday, the special counsel had a very tough day in court. Federal district judge T. S. Ellis was openly skeptical not only of the authority of the special counsel to undertake the prosecution of Paul Manafort on crimes that are over a decade old, but he was blatantly skeptical of the honesty of the special counsel as well.
It probably wasn’t lost on the judge that the special counsel had said in court filings that Manafort had been in contact with Russian intelligence operatives in 2016 and then had to admit, via a Brady motion, that it actually had zero evidence that this was true.
Now the transcript has started leaking out and it looks worse than the media reports from yesterday.

Conservative Rockstar Jim Jordan Is Under Attack. 5/4/18 TTN Staff
Representative Jordan is a member of the House Freedom Caucus and works tirelessly to keep congressional leaders in check as Washington drives off the cliff on a daily basis.
According to Cleveland.com:
“A House with Speaker Jordan at the gavel would actually pass laws, stand on principle and cut spending,” said a statement from FreedomWorks president and CEO Adam Brandon. “Speaker Jordan would make Congress work again.”
This year’s anti-incumbent mood is so strong that even Jordan has a primary opponent on the ballot: Joseph Miller of Marion. Miller did not respond to repeated telephone calls and text messages seeking more information about his candidacy.
Liberal professor Janet Garrett is running a third time against Jordan. She's now retired from Oberlin, which is among the most liberal colleges in the country. Garrett supports labor unions, universal health care and automatic voter registration for 18-year-olds.
The new challenger from the left is Democrat Cody Rose. Rose is a strong supporter of obumacare, hostile to the Second Amendment and is stridently opposed to the Tax Cut and Jobs Act. The young left winger works as a software developer and is as opposed President Trump as he is to Jim Jordan.
Principled conservatives like Jim Jordan do not come along often, and he is an absolute asset to his district.

Trump Was Instrumental in Achieving Korean Peace.

Going into his presidency, Donald Trump knew that the situation in North Korea would be one of the toughest challenges he had to contend with.
Thankfully, the president approached this tough challenge with an even tougher approach, levying crippling sanctions against the country while at the same time promising “fire and fury” if North Korea’s Kim Jong-un continued his aggression and hostility.
At the time, those on the left called Trump’s approach to North Korea dangerous and ineffective, warning that he was on the verge of starting a nuclear war.
Now, those who belittled his tough stance against North Korea are singing a different tune.
In late April 2018, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un held a historic meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in. During the meeting, the two leaders agreed to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula and end the war between North and South Korea that has officially persisted for over sixty years.
In media appearances since the meeting, the South Korean president has given full credit to President Trump for making it possible, and even CNN published a story saying that Trump deserved credit for bringing Korea closer to peace than it has been in decades.
Only time will tell if Kim Jong-un truly intends to hold up his end of the bargain.
Regardless, Trump’s efforts against North Korea have worked and have accomplished something that numerous Presidents before him were unable to make happen. --- video below.

Because try as liberals might to erase it, gender is and will always be important.
“The benefit of the single-gender environment has been well-documented by educators, scholars, other girl- and youth-serving organizations,” writes the Girl Scout blog, and they couldn’t be more on point.
Check out this list of advantages of single-sex schools, a privilege only available to the rich. Sports teams provide similar life experiences, of course, but that wouldn’t have been an option for 80’s me.
Sadly, ‘2018 everybody’ will no longer have the option, at least as far as Boy Scouting is concerned. I am grateful for Scouting and what it meant to me growing up. I am also angry at what liberals have turned the group into, as well as the fact that, a decade from now, it very likely won’t exist.
Because tragically, the Boy Scouts’ stubborn march to ‘inclusivity’ at any cost has managed to gut the organization of what made it special in the first place, which inevitably reminded me of this key quote from the movie The Incredibles -
“If everyone is special, no one is.”

The Boy Scouts of America started in 1910 as a way to promote good citizenship and Christian morality, two years after Sir Robert Baden-Powell founded the movement in England. “We aim for the practice of Christianity in their everyday life and dealings, and not merely the profession of its theology on Sundays,” Baden-Powell wrote in Scouting For Boys.
The iconography was, in many instances, literally Norman 'Rockwellian,' from the chivalry of a crisply uniformed boy saluting the American flag or helping an old lady across the street to the Native American symbolism incorporated into the Order of the Arrow rituals.
From the ceremonies to the symbols to the reading materials and skills learned - all were meant to teach, to prepare, but most of all to endear a heartfelt respect for our Creator, our family, our country, our environment, and the world around us.

Anyone with half a brain knows that boys and girls are different.

Ironically, their attack on Boy Scouting has also hurt the other group founded by Baden-Powell and his sister, Agnes - Girl Scouts.
Though the decision to allow girls was applauded by various liberal and feminist groups, Girl Scout representatives themselves are less than amused! "The Boy Scouts' house is on fire," Girl Scouts told ABC News in a statement last October when the decision to allow girls was first announced.
"Instead of addressing systemic issues of continuing sexual assault, financial mismanagement and deficient programming, BSA's senior management wants to add an accelerant to the house fire by recruiting girls."

I was proud to be a Scout, prouder still to earn my Eagle rank just before my 18th birthday.
But of course, as we all know, once social justice warriors gets their slimy tentacles into something their thirst is never quenched until that something is entirely destroyed, and such has it been with Boy Scouting ever since its clueless national leaders began leading the organization down that perilous cliff. They were years filled with lots of “boy-stuff” under the watchful supervision of caring men and the camaraderie of other boys. Canoeing alone on a lake. Building campfires. Barely passing the ridiculously hard swim test at summer camp so I wouldn’t be the only kid not allowed on the water. S’mores. Dump cake. Hobo packets. Campfire stories. Games, teasing, and general rowdiness. Sleeping alone in the middle of the woods as a part of the Order of the Arrow Ordeal. Peeling myself out of a semi-warm sleeping bag on a freezing February morning in 1986 to watch Haley’s Comet pay a rare visit to Earth’s orbit. Picking up and sorting food for the hungry as a part of our annual food drive. Lugging a wooden sled across town to compete with other troops in Scouting skills contests, all of which involved plenty of cool “boy-stuff” like tying knots and building things.

An Eagle Scout Explains the Fatal Folly of Taking the ‘Boy’ out of Boy Scouts.
“Want to give it a shot?” the Scoutmaster was looking at me and holding the axe out, handle first. Before walking over and taking it I tentatively looked at my dad, who pursed his lips and nodded approvingly. “Safety first,” the bearded man cautioned before he proceeded to show me how to cut the wood without cutting off any fingers in the process. As I performed that simple exercise, I remember thinking how neat it was to be trusted to wield what could be a pretty dangerous tool, and the responsibility made me feel bigger than my eleven years.
Most of all I remember how doing what I perceived as “man-stuff,” surrounded by men and other boys, made me feel at least a little bit more like a man.
Those moments began what was to be a seven year adventure and the most significant non-school element of my pre-teen and teen-aged life.

Created in 1910 to “prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes,” the BSA, on May 23, 2013, tragically voted to welcome into its ranks “open and avowed” homosexuality (boy-on-boy sexual attraction and behavior), thereby disavowing the “morally straight” Scout Oath its members have been sworn to uphold for over a century.
Even worse, the BSA effectively waived the only legal defense it once had to preclude openly homosexual Scout leaders and gender-confused girls from its ranks: religious and moral conviction.
The BSA was forced to capitulate to sexual extremists’ political demands and allow homosexual adults – men who define their identity based upon carnal appetites for other males – to take your boys on overnight camping trips.
Once that happens, Trail Life USA will be the life raft for the multitudes.
Those who abandon the fast-sinking BSA ship will have a safe place to land.
The group has released a must-see video explaining both the history of Trail Life USA and the BSA’s tragic and financially driven cave-in to extremist political groups, hard-left corporate donors and the mainstream media.
Oh, but what a faithful Lord we serve! We are reminded in Romans 8:28, “that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Trail Life USA is indeed good. It has indeed been called according to His purpose.
And it will never waver.
In a recent interview on “WallBuilders Live” radio, John Stemberger, an Eagle Scout, lawyer, pro-family advocate and Trail Life USA’s acting board chairman, addressed the BSA tragedy and the resulting birth of this exciting new principled alternative: “Sometimes things have to die before there’s a new birth and it comes back better than before. And even our Lord went through that process,” he said.
Regrettably, the usual left-wing suspects have attempted to smear Trail Life USA by labeling it “anti-queer.” Trail Life is simply pro-purity.
As Christians, the group’s leadership has chosen to obey and follow Christ’s “I do not condemn you … From now on sin no more” example on sexual immorality – all sexual immorality – be it adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior or any other sexual sin explicitly identified in Scripture.
Trail Life’s Membership Standards state, without equivocation, “The basis for the program’s ethical and moral standards are found in the Bible.
In terms of sexual identification and behavior, we affirm that any sexual activity outside the context of the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman is sinful before God and therefore inconsistent with the values and principles of the program.
“Within these limits, we grant membership to adults and youth who do not engage in or promote sexual immorality of any kind, or engage in behavior that would become a distraction to the mission of the program.”
Under the heading “Purity,” the group’s Statement of Faith & Values states:
“Members are called to live a life of holiness, being pure of heart, mind, word and deed, reserving sexual activity for the sanctity of marriage;
marriage being a lifelong commitment before God between a man and a woman.”
“Real men value truth over tradition,” Stemberger told the cheering convention crowd. “Real men value principle over program, and they value integrity over institutions.”
The BSA has lost its integrity!
It has chosen the almighty dollar over the best interests of the boys it once served so well.
Now you have a choice.

It was Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 6, 2013. The huge hall was overflowing, the convention sold out. Over 1,200 attendees, with many spilling out into the foyer, eagerly awaited the announcement. What would this safe, moral and non-sexualized alternative to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) look like?
With a stirring introductory video came the answer:
“Trail Life USA” would now endeavor to “be the premier national character development organization for young men, which produces godly and responsible husbands, fathers and citizens.”
The reveal, eagerly anticipated by hundreds of thousands – if not millions – of Americans was met with rousing cheers!
“Our mission is simple and clear,” came the official mission statement, “to guide generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others and experience outdoor adventure.”
A brief summary from the new scouting-like organization’s website (TrailLifeUSA.com) reads as follows:
“Most males want exciting outdoor adventure with their friends. We’ve got that! Trips and travel? That, too. Camping. Check. Physical and mental challenge? Yep. And awards? Of course!
“Trail Life USA is a Christian adventure, character and leadership movement for young men.
The K-12 program centers on outdoor experiences that build a young man’s skills and allow him to grow on a personal level and as a role model and leader for his peers.
Living the Trail Life is a journey established on timeless values derived from the Bible.”
Countless men and boys who once called themselves “Boy Scouts” will now proudly bear the title of “Trailman.”
Back in May, millions of Americans were shocked and saddened when the BSA inexplicably bowed to left-wing political pressure and became something it had never before been: a hyper-politicized, aberrantly sexualized petri dish for social and sexual experimentation.

Was Nikolas Cruz, the man who killed 17 in a rampage in a Parkland, Florida high school, put into a deferred-action program called PROMISE after committing earlier offenses?
No, said Robert Runcie, superintendent of the school district. No, no, no, no, no. Well, actually … yes, yes he was!:

Broward school district officials admitted Sunday that the confessed Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School gunman was assigned to a controversial disciplinary program, after the superintendent repeatedly claimed Nikolas Cruz had “no connection” to the alternative punishment designed to limit on-campus arrests.
Two sources with knowledge of Cruz’s discipline records told WLRN he WAS referred to the so-called PROMISE Program for a three-day stint after committing vandalism at Westglades Middle School in 2013.
When asked for a response, a spokeswoman for Superintendent Robert Runcie stated on Friday that district administrators were aggressively analyzing Cruz’s records. Tracy Clark said on Sunday afternoon the district had “confirmed” Cruz’s referral to PROMISE after he vandalized a bathroom at the middle school on Nov. 25, 2013.
WLRN’s Jessica Bakeman reminds readers and listeners that Runcie had unequivocally stated just a month ago that Cruz had NEVER been part of the PROMISE program. Runcie further accused those of deliberately creating a “fictitious narrative” who pointed at the program as the reason why both the school district and the Broward County Sheriff had never referred Cruz for prosecution despite dozens of interventions with the troubled and dangerous student:
“Let me reiterate this point,” Runcie started off during an interview in his office last month. “Nikolas Cruz, the shooter that was involved in this horrific accident at Marjory Stoneman Douglas, had NO connection to the PROMISE program.”
During the same conversation, Runcie said: “I’m not going to allow a shift from what our focus needs to be to a fictitious narrative that’s being made up about a successful program that we have in Broward Co. that has no connection to the shooter or the situation at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.”
We’re getting fictitious narratives, all right, but it’s not coming from critics.
Almost ever since the shooting ended, both the school district and the sheriff has been pointing fingers away from themselves and misleading the public about the number of opportunities they had to address the danger from Cruz!
Now we find out that not only did Runcie mislead people again, but that Cruz HAD been in that program more than four years prior to the shooting.
Students have repeatedly said that Cruz’ problems escalated during his years in school, and both the school district and sheriff’s office continued to conduct interventions. And yet, even with the failure of the PROMISE referral, they didn’t do one thing that could have kept Cruz from obtaining a weapon, they never prosecuted him for crimes or have him committed for observation.
Instead, they stood around and watched Cruz’ danger develop into a deadly time bomb that could have been defused at nearly every turn — or at least contained.

Thinking of building or purchasing a newly constructed home in Mexifornia?
Even assuming you can somehow afford to own one in one of the most brutal real estate markets in the country, get ready for the cost to go up further.
The state government is preparing to pass a new law which will mandate that every new house, condo or other building up to three stories high must have solar panels installed and comply with a “net-zero energy” profile!
This means that they have to produce enough of their own solar power to offset all electricity off the grid and natural gas consumed over the course of a year.
Even more remarkably, they want everyone to be in compliance in under two years. What this will do to the Mexifornia real estate market, esp. for low-income homeowners remains unknown.

Mexifornia is on the verge of making solar standard on virtually every new home built in the Golden State!
The Mexifornia Energy Commission is scheduled to vote Wednesday, May 9, on new energy standards mandating most new homes have solar panels starting in 2020. If approved as expected, solar installations on new homes will skyrocket.
Just 15 to 20% of new single-family homes built include solar, according to Bob Raymer, technical director for the Mexifornia Building Industry Association.
“Mexifornia is about to take a quantum leap in energy standards,” Raymer said. “No other state in the nation mandates solar, and we are about to take that leap.”
Some people clearly like the idea of generating their own power from solar energy, assuming they can afford the upfront costs.
There’s nothing wrong with that, of course. If you live in a very sunny area you might be able to make your home largely self-sufficient.
That’s a choice for the individual buyer to make and the free market to react to accordingly.
When the state steps in and mandates it for virtually every new home, somebody is about to make a lot of money!
One representative of the Mexifornia Solar and Storage Association, a solar energy lobbyist group, is quoted as complaining that the new rules still don’t go far enough.
So if you live in Mexifornia and are looking to buy a newly constructed home, what does this mean to you?
Even state representatives admit that the solar panels and other “net-zero” requirements will increase the construction costs of a single family home by $25,000 to $30,000.
They insist that the solar energy can actually produce a net savings for the homeowner, but it will be at least a decade before most people reach the break-even point.
Additional costs include more insulation, more efficient windows and other thermal containment features.
Officials are saying there are exceptions built into the mandate, but will they be enough?
Not everyone lives in an area that gets sun for nearly the entire year. Some are in the shade of canyons and other natural structures, while others may be dwarfed by surrounding buildings.
They’re never going to reach that net-zero goal.
It also means that pretty much everyone will need to go to electric heating instead of other, environmentally friendly options like natural gas.
Not everyone likes electric heat, particularly if it means you have to run a humidifier all the time.
This all adds up to yet more expensive govt. mandates which are going to make a handful of people very, very wealthy!

Illinois Counties Become Pro-Gun ‘Sanctuary’ Counties.

The phrase “sanctuary cities” is one of those things that’s infuriating to many of our readers. After all, these are cities that are ignoring federal law–and the Constitution–in an effort to protect people who are, essentially, criminals!
They broke immigration laws, and now these cities are trying to circumvent the federal government’s constitutional role in handling the issue.
However, in Illinois, the phrase “sanctuary” is being used by a handful of counties for a very different reason.
Several counties in Illinois have taken gun control matters into their own hands and told the state, guess what? — you’re not stripping us of our Second Amendment rights!
And thus the showdown begins.
The state has no constitutional leg in this fight.
The state, for those who’ve not yet heard, has been engaged in a leftist-pushed campaign to bypass the Constitution and impose even more gun control on the law-abiding citizenry.
The Democrats want a Chicago, statewide!
Some of their pressed-for crackdowns?
Increases in the minimum age for gun purchases. A complete ban on bump stocks.
More punishments for violators. You know, the typical yada yada left-leaners manual of anti-gun provisions.
The ones that don’t reduced crime but make the politicians feel good about themselves — all the while stripping control from the little people.
Some counties in Illinois are saying enough IS enough — we’re declaring ourselves sanctuaries for gun owners!
“It’s a buzzword,” said David Campbell, the vice chairman of the Effingham County Board, in Fox News. “It’s a word that really gets attention.
With all these sanctuary cities, we just decided to turn it around to protect our Second Amendment rights.”
Effingham is one of a handful of counties fighting against the state’s anti-gun stance.
Last month, Bearing Arms had a story about Effingham County. In particular, its stand as a sanctuary county. Now, it’s no longer alone.
This is actually pretty brilliant.
In order to undermine Effingham County and their fellow sanctuary counties’ efforts, gun control opponents will have to undermine the very idea of sanctuary communities as a whole. They’ll have to lash out at sanctuary cities as a concept–which, I suspect, your average gun grabber isn’t going to want to do. The other option is that they just leave these counties alone, which is an obvious win.
Realistically, I don’t see either happening. I figure they’ll try and attack the gun aspect and sniff around and try to find some weakness they can exploit without jeopardizing the concept of sanctuary cities. This makes them far less likely to be successful.
Like I said, pretty brilliant if you think about it.
More importantly, though, it’s the right thing to do.
Regardless of what the courts have argued, any incursion into our Second Amendment rights is unconstitutional.
It’s a moral imperative to oppose unjust and unconstitutional laws, regardless of what level of government issues such decrees.
While I agree with the rule of law, when those laws become tyrannical–and any law infringing on our ability to resist tyranny is tyranny in and of itself–they must be opposed.
I’m glad to see a handful of counties in Illinois agree.

“The mistake was an honest one. The opposite is true. We support the Constitution, including the 2nd Amendment, 100%. And like the NRA, we also support finding solutions to the senseless killings that happen much too frequently. We believe those two things are completely compatible.”
Ellen’s wrote that after a “courteous and informative conversation with a customer, we realized how our message could be misconstrued and we moved quickly to clarify. By then, the situation had become viral.”
The restaurant posted a photo of a new variation of the message on its receipts. It changed the wording to say it would be donating to organizations “dedicated to implementing reasonable and effective gun regulations that protect citizens’ 2nd Amendment rights and also help reduce needless gun violence.”
It’s interesting that a “courteous and informative conversation with a customer” resulted in the change. It goes to show that a little dialogue can go a long way.
One can only hope that the restaurant’s change in tone is genuine.

Thanks to the reporting of Matt Vespa over at Townhall, it looks like the restaurant’s backpedaling ISN'T genuine in the slightest, as the decision to put the message on the checks was well part of Groves’ plan for more than a month.
The NRA tweeted screenshots of Mr. Groves saying he would put a message at the bottom of his establishment’s receipts.

Someone did research and found that over a month ago, the owner posted the following on Facebook.
“Take their money. Take as much as you can! Less funding/donations for them,” said one account, whose identity was blurred out.

NRA Calls For A Boycott Of Its Own During Annual Convention.

Gun control activists and organizations have actively called for boycotts against businesses and companies that have ties to the National Rifle Association, or sell or manufacture firearms.
During its annual convention in Dallas, the NRA engaged in a little boycott of its own!
A restaurant by the name of Ellen’s in Dallas went viral over the weekend after giving customers a message that stood in stark contrast to the NRA’s pro-Second Amendment, anti-gun control convention.
At the bottom of its receipts, the restaurant stated, “A portion of this week’s proceeds will be donated to organizations dedicated to implementing reasonable and effective gun regulations.”
It didn’t take long for the NRA to find out and let its displeasure be known, as it quickly tweeted a picture of one of the receipts to its thousands of pro-Second Amendment followers.
In the tweet, the NRA encouraged convention attendees to find a different place to eat while they were in town.
Gun rights proponents understandably would take issue with the words “reasonable and effective,” as most proposals are not reasonable or effective! When an individual or organization calls for
“reasonable” gun control, it usually means “ban assault-style weapons,” “raise the legal age to purchase a firearm,” and/or “limit high-capacity magazines.”
And when they call for “effective” gun control, it usually means regulations that will do nothing to actually prevent gun violence.
Furthermore, when the restaurant states it will donate to organizations that support these measures, the ones that come to mind for most supporters of the Second Amendment are groups like Everytown for Gun Safety, Shannon Watts’ Moms Demand Action, and the Brady Campaign.
These groups oppose the NRA and the Second Amendment every step of the way.
According to reporting by The Washington Post, the owner of the restaurant made his decision to post the message because, allegedly, attendees of the convention who had dined in his restaurant made racist remarks toward employees.
Joe Groves, the owner of Ellen’s, which serves Southern comfort food and all-day brunch, posted a photo of the receipt on Facebook on Friday, the Dallas Observer reported. He told the Dallas Morning News and Eater that he decided to add the message after convention attendees had insulted some of his employees with racially charged comments, which Groves called “demoralizing.”
“I’m making a list of the vile, racist, moronic conversations overheard from NRA attendees eating at the restaurant,” he reportedly wrote on Facebook. “They don’t even speak softly.”
Customers allegedly asked mexicano servers, “Do you keep your illegals in the back?” Groves told the Dallas Morning News, and said to black employees, “You don’t sound black. Where are you from, India?”
After the NRA sent out its tweet, Ellen’s appeared to change its tune, offering a correction and clarification for its message to customers.
Only about an hour after the NRA posted its tweet, Ellen’s appeared to change its message.

For example, Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) recently compared how politicians in US Congress endorsed similar letters warning the President about commencing offensive strikes against Syria without congressional approval.
In 2013, while barry obuma was president, 119 republicans and only 21 democrats signed the letter.
In 2018, during the Trump presidency, 73 democrats and only 15 republicans signed an almost identical letter. “Very few of us signed both,” Amash observed.
Addressing the disparities, Amash noted that “something else is at work at the macro level: double standards, selective outrage, and hypocrisy.”
I agree with him but I add mob mentality to the list.
Surely these politicians would, on an individual basis, believe that congressional approval is either required or not under identical circumstances.
Their ability to all of a sudden distinguish the law on behalf of their party is just what it seems - an excuse, to act in conformity with their party mob.
And we see political mobs in schools.
Consider the school walkouts. Instead of students being taught to help themselves by seeking out protections to solve an immediate danger, they are being politically encouraged by the Democrat party to support a remote resolution, a political objective: gun control.
How does gun control help them tomorrow in school?
After all, a law takes years to implement. A law does not physically manifest itself and magically appear between a shooter and his victim to prevent the shooter from shooting his victim.
A law does not instantaneously defend - it simply creates deterrence.
And we know that deterrence does not eliminate crime.
Why are kids not demanding immediate protection, physical protection from an expectedly non-law-abiding shooter?
Because they are being publicly encouraged not to "think" via rational self-interest, but to support a groupthink cause.
This political mob culture teaches a dangerous precedent to our youth: problem-solving via mob mentality.
Jordan B. Peterson, a clinical psychologist of religious and ideological belief, agrees that political mobs are dangerous and are prevalent in our culture. He highlights the dangers of group identity politics in an upcoming movie about college campus mobs and hysteria.
But rational, individual self interest is not dead in our political society. In fact, it may be on the rise. Consider the following politicians:
Rand Paul, Justin Amash, and Austin Petersen, to name a few. These are the “liberty” politicians. They are a breed of individual-thinking politician that is quickly penetrating the mainstream.
We didn’t have this variety of liberty candidates until recent years. Remember a time when we just had Ron Paul? Political campaign manager Jeff Carson, who manages liberty candidate Austin Petersen for US Senate, agrees that liberty politics are “absolutely” becoming more popular.
Hopefully this past decade is an indicator that independent thinkers are gaining momentum amongst voters.
It is because I fear mob mentality in politics that I prefer these liberty individuals in government.
I son't expect them to jump on the bandwagon.
I expect them to objectively consider whatever problems they will encounter. I do not even agree with them on many issues. But I am more confident in their approach to politics than I am with classic party politicians.
Voting for liberty candidates will help to diminish the political party mobs that are in Congress. We see this happening with proven independent thinkers like both Pauls and Amash.
The danger of political party mobs can be reduced if we pay more attention to our independent reasoning, especially when in groups; and, by increasing liberty representation in Congress.

Mob mentality is a fascinating aspect of human nature, but a dangerous one.
Mob mentality, group identity, and groupthink describe the same type of human behavior - actions that individuals take when coming under the influence of a group, doing irrational things that are not in their individual best interest, losing their self-awareness.
Mob mentality is so dangerous that states will legislate extra penalties for crimes committed by mobs, in an attempt to dissuade mob crimes. In Virginia, for example, there are about a dozen offenses specifically addressing mob crimes. And every individual who is in a mob is held responsible for the acts of the mob, showing legislative understanding of the mob as a conspiracy and the participants as accomplices.
In the history of politics, humans have used political mobs to commit lynchings of blacks, anti-semitic atrocities throughout Europe, and destruction of businesses in American cities.
Political mobs were responsible for bringing the Nazis to power in Germany, and political mobs were responsible for bringing the Communists to power in Russia.
More recent political mobs included widespread littering of our nations’s capital and publicly burning swastikas in celebration of the political party that caused the war that achieved the most deaths of any war in human history.
Mobs are dangerous! Mobs are bad!
And yet we see political mobs in Congress. We see politicians endorsing ideas not in congruity with their beliefs, but in conformity with their party, with their mob.

Oliver North to Become Next President of the NRA.

The National Rifle Association announced Monday retired Marine Lt. Col. Oliver North will be its next president, succeeding Pete Brownell.
The NRA’s board of directors said it is starting the process to formally instate Lt. Col. Oliver North, a former Ronald Reagan administration official, in the coming weeks.
"I am honored to have been selected by the NRA Board to soon serve as this great organization’s President," North said. "I appreciate the board initiating a process that affords me a few weeks to set my affairs in order, and I am eager to hit the ground running as the new NRA President."
NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre compared Lt. Col. Oliver North to past president Charlton Heston, the Hollywood star who led the organization from 1998 to 2003 and also had a friendship with President Reagan.
"This is the most exciting news for our members since Charlton Heston became President of our Association," LaPierre said. "Lt. Col. Oliver Oliver North is a legendary warrior for American freedom, a gifted communicator and skilled leader.
In these times, I can think of no one better suited to serve as our N.R.A. President."
Lt. Col. Oliver North was convicted on charges related to the Iran-contra affair during the Reagan administration, but the ruling was reversed in 1991.
He has been a commentator on Fox News, and Monday he announced he was retiring from that position immediately.
Brownell has stepped down from the office to focus on his family business, firearm and accessory retailer Brownells, and he said LaPierre and he had discussed Lt. Col. Oliver North as his successor.
"Discussing this with Wayne LaPierre, he suggested we reach out to a warrior amongst our board members, Lt. Colonel Oliver North, to succeed me," Brownell wrote. "Wayne and I feel that in these extraordinary times, a leader with his history as a communicator and resolute defender of the Second Amendment is precisely what the NRA needs!"
LaPierre thanked Brownell, who became president in 2017, for his service to the organization.
"Pete has served the NRA with great courage and distinction," LaPierre said. "I am grateful that he joined me in enthusiastically recommending Lt. Col. Oliver North to the Board of Directors."
"The board acted quickly and with great vision," LaPierre also said. "Lt. Col. Oliver North is, hands down, the absolute best choice to lead our NRA Board, to fully engage with our members, and to unflinchingly stand and fight for the great freedoms he has defended his entire life."

April Sets Gun Sales Record Second month in a row with gun sales record as push for new gun control continues.

April 2018 saw the most gun-related checks run through the Federal Bureau of Investigation's background check system.
The National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) ran 2,233,213 checks in April, according to an FBI document. That's nearly 90,000 more checks than the previous April record set in 2016. It also represents the second month in a row to set a record with March seeing 2,767,699 checks.
The drop off in background checks between March and April matches the industry's typical sales cycle where more guns are sold in winter months than in summer months. December tends to be the best month for gun sales in any given year. December 2015 holds the record for most checks in a month with 3,314,594.
NICS checks are one of the strongest indicators of gun sales in the United States. While there is no federal registry of firearms, NICS checks are required on nearly all sales conducted by licensed gun dealers. The number of checks does not perfectly correlate with the number of gun sales, though. Most states do not require NICS checks for sales of used firearms between nonlicensed individuals, many states use the checks during the gun-carry permit application process, some states don't require a NICS check during sales to those with gun-carry permits, and multiple guns can be sold during a single NICS check.
"These statistics represent the number of firearm background checks initiated through the NICS," the FBI wrote in its report. "They do not represent the number of firearms sold. Based on varying state laws and purchase scenarios, a one-to-one correlation cannot be made between a firearm background check and a firearm sale."
The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the gun industry's trade group, said its analysis of the numbers found that checks related to gun-carry permits may have driven the record NICS numbers more than gun-sales checks.
The record number of NICS checks came as the push for new gun control remained in the public eye, and some states enacted new laws.
Vermont's Republican governor Phil Scott flip flopped and signed a new gun-control package that outlawed magazines of varying sizes and gun ownership for any adult under 21-years-old in April. The town of Deerfield, Ill., also announced its own ban on certain rifles in April.
Both measures are now being challenged in court.

SHOCK REPORT! Millenials Are Rapidly SPRINTING Away From The Democratic Party!
In an interesting polling data that has been tracking data over two years, the latest Reuter’s survey found that Democrats are losing their appeal among millennials while Trump’s job approval is slowly ticking upwards! reports Town Hall
“In the last two years, Millennial support for Democrats over Republicans on the generic congressional ballot dropped around 9 percentage points, to 46%. The demographic’s support for Republicans has remained steady at about 28%.
Some Millennials who voted for killary clinton in 2016 are now looking at supporting GOP congressional candidates, the poll found.
And the same young voters are almost evenly split on the question of which party takes better care of the economy, with 34% favoring Democrats compared to 32% favoring Republicans, a twelve-point jump for the GOP since 2016.
White Millennials have turned toward Republicans the most. Support for both parties among young white voters is equal at 39%.
Democrats are still enjoying an 18-point advantage over the GOP among this young demographic, fueled by lopsided numbers among young voters of color, but who knows what time will tell.
But the double-digit swing on the economy is a particularly interesting data point.
The US economy is thriving, and Republicans are in charge.
That hasn’t gone unnoticed by a cohort of voters that isn’t inclined to view the party favorably.
The results of tax reform and deregulation are speaking for themselves, and people are taking note.
Not all are turning up their noses at their “crumbs”, which include more readily-available jobs and boosted take-home pay.

On a recent hunting trip, Larry Lopata and three business partners came up with an idea for a new firearms accessory: an ergonomic adjustable-length trigger, so people of different hand sizes could use the same gun comfortably, which also could pay dividends on the competition circuit.
The four put $150,000 into product development when they felt ready to seek additional funding from new investors.
Crowdfunding sites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo would have been perfect, but they explicitly prohibit users from raising money for any weapons-related projects.
So, in the entrepreneurial spirit that propelled America to greatness, Lopata created his own, gun-friendly crowdfunding site, GunDynamics.com, recently featured on American Action News.
After the Parkland school shooting, many major corporations have sought to disassociate with the gun community.
So far, Bank of America announced it would no longer lend to firearms manufacturers that make "military-style" firearms.
Dick's Sporting Goods has stopped selling assault rifles, while WalMart, L.L. Bean, and other retailers raised the minimum age for firearm purchases to 21.
To counter this growing threat, Lopata and others who make their living in firearms have constructed online businesses designed to cater exclusively to gun enthusiasts.

Amazing Video: Hawaiian Volcano Erupts, Thousands Flee.

Thousands of residents were forced to flee their homes on Hawaii's Big Island this weekend when a magnitude 6.9 earthquake sparked the eruption of Mount Kilauea.
Throughout the weekend Kilauea released molten lava as high as 230 feet in the air and clouds of toxic gas.
A total of 10 fissures have opened up on the volcano's eastern slope, whose glow astronauts can see from space.
According to civil defense officials, there's no sign of the eruption slowing down.

The larger question is, “Why did it take the FBI so long to catch Pino?”
Back in 2007, when I first logged on to Pino's
"Global War" blog, the heading for the site read
"The Worldwide Web of Jihad:
Daily News from the Most Dangerous muslim in America."
Shortly thereafter, it was changed to read;
"Are You Prepared for Jihad?" IN THE NAME OF OBL. 2007: THE YEAR OF ISLAMIC VICTORY!"
There could be little doubt about the purpose of the site to which Pino was posting. It was provided in the upper right corner: "We are a jihadist news service, and provide battle dispatches, training manuals, and jihad videos to our brothers worldwide. All we want is to get allah’s pleasure.
We will write ‘Jihad’ across our foreheads, and the stars. The angels will carry our message throughout the world."
There was also an "Oath of Freedom" in the upper right corner: "We were born free. We will live freely and when death comes to us, we will die freely. Jihad is changing all that can be changed; freeing ourselves through our own efforts; and the conviction that truth will prevail, inshallah."
Julio Pino, for his decision to "provide battle dispatches, training manuals, and jihad videos to our enemies worldwide" deserves to be imprisoned.
But it should have happened a full decade before he was caught for the lesser offense of lying to the FBI.
The real collusion is between American universities and the tenured terrorists they harbor.

In 2007, I sat down for a brief interview with an FBI agent. While we sat in a coffee shop in Wilmington, North Carolina, I outlined the case against Prof. Julio Pino of Kent State University.
My accusations were serious but irrefutable:
Julio Pino was an islamic jihadist who was actively conspiring with other terrorists seeking to murder American troops and innocent civilians.
The FBI eventually got Pino. Unfortunately, it took them eleven years during which Ohio taxpayers were forced to pay the salary of a man who was openly planning to wage war on his own country!
When Pino finally entered a guilty plea in federal court last month, the charge was one count of making false statements to the FBI during an investigation dating back to 2016.
The investigation concerned social media correspondences with a Facebook friend who identified himself as J.E. The feds were interested in J.E. over his alleged social media posts threatening to "kill 100s of people."
When interviewed, Pino falsely claimed that he did not know J.E. That falsehood would eventually cost him his job and will eventually cost him his freedom. J.E. was arrested on January 11, 2016, after making threats against a sitting judge.
Unfortunately for Pino, that was the same day J.E.
posted the following on Facebook: "I f*****g love Julio Pino, even if he does eventually do something that most consider horrible, I'll still love him because I know him in a deeper way than most of you even could."
Translation: Julio Pino is a terrorist who plans to kill a bunch of people. I am aware of it. And I approve of it because I am the type of scumbag who threatens sitting judges over disputes in child custody cases.
The university fired Pino following his recent guilty plea in federal court.
But that was only because they had no other choice. It wasn’t because they disapproved of Pino.
He was given a faculty excellence award in 2003 after he wrote an op-ed in the student newspaper, urging children to become suicide bombers and kill innocent Jews.
They even gave him another award in 2010, long after I exposed Pino for his terrorist connections. This was also long after Matt Drudge had picked up my story and Bill Hemmer and Megyn Kelly had interviewed me about Pino on Fox News Live.

After traveling for thousands of miles from Honduras, through Mexico and to the southern border of California, members of a illegal alien caravan are demanding asylum in the United States.
Earlier this week the Department of Justice handed down a number of federal charges for illegal aliens on the caravan. Some of the members were previously deported from the United States and connected to violent crimes.
While the caravan was in central Mexico three weeks ago, President Trump slammed the Mexican government for failing to do more to stop it from moving further north.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is praising President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the Iran nuclear agreement.
"The deal didn't push war further away. It actually brought it closer. The deal didn't reduce Iran's aggression, it dramatically increased it. We see this across the entire Middle East," Netanyahu said Tuesday afternoon. "This is why Israel thinks that President Trump did a historic move and this is why Israel thanks President Trump for his courageous leadership, his commitment to confront the terrorist regime in Tehran and his commitment to ensure Iran never gs nuclear weapons. Not today, not in a decade, not ever."
Israel is anticipating Iranian aggression in response to Trump's decision and after Israeli forces took out a number of Iranian targets in Syria last week.
"On the backdrop of an unusual line of identification among Iranian forces in Syria, the IDF decided to guide the Golan Heights on the opening of shelters. You must continue to be heard by the IDF as long as it takes. At the same time, a deployment of defense capabilities and a high readiness of IDF forces were completed.
The IDF has detected irregular Iranian activity in Syria and is preparing the civilian population on the Golan Heights accordingly, as well as defensive systems. Any aggression against Israel will be met with a severe response.
