I'm glad, no; I'm proud to join you in this effort. I've enjoyed "The Texas Patriot" for some time and share most of those posts with friends.
It's well past time that "the silent majority" re-claims our nation. I'm convinced that the majority of Americans are conservative by nature. Conservatives are non confrontational so they don't get involved in all the shouting and name calling that most political campaigns demonstrate. It's time we find our voice and let our representatives know how we want to be represented. "We The People" can be a great forum for building and energizing the grass roots effort we'll need to make the "CHANGE" we really need.
Finding your name on the rolls tells me we have some clear thinkers and some leadership that will help us make a difference.

Hi Tony, thanks for joining We The People USA. This site was created to keep people informed about all the issues stemming from the 2008 election and general issues that affect our every day lives. I hope to provide a lot of great site content soon and I hope everyone will contribute and start discussions. Please take an active role in posting your thoughts and opinions and help spread the word about this site by emailing those on your contact list. Also, please consider joining your State's Electorate Action Group. And remember, you can belong to more than one "Group," So, also consider joining the United States: "State Electorate Action Information" GROUP and other Groups. I have also posted a schedule for "Live Chats" on the "Events" page. And, there is general information regarding the Electorates in the 2008 Election Discussion Forum. Don't forget, you can also add an event, organize a "Live Chat," have a private chat with your group or create a whole new Group. Welcome again and thanks for helping "preserve our Republic."

Tony, I believed I joined United Republicans, but if I am mistaken, please let me know.

If I didn't then please give me the link and I will join. If I am not mistaken, there are two different UR's, though I haven't had much time to do as much as I would like, as my job keeps me busy working about 54 hrs pr. week. I will be here more after Christmas and I get a few things taken care of for my ex-husband. I believe I did mention that I am his care-taker, appointed by the VA. I still have to see if I can get him a hospital bed. Praise God, I did suceed in getting him a Jazzy power w/c. He is quite able to do much on his own, but needs aids in helping him to be somewhat .
  • Kurt

It's great to have someone with your background join this group. Your association with the Bush team carries weight, your conservative and Christian beliefs are synonymous with this group's intent, from my perspective. Welcome!!

When I first read your thoughts, I thought you were referring to the requirements for President (natural v naturalized). Your response was great! This is a nation of immigrants; I am descended from people who came here to seek a better life. The dates range from the 1700s to the 1900s. I agree, we should never shut the door to people wishing to join us in this great country. But, I do think those admitted should do so legally.

So, to get to the point, I, for one, would like to hear your thoughts on the controversy surrounding Mr. Obama's eligibility for the office of the President. That controversy seems to be the underlying reason for the origin of this group - that is the issue that drew me to join. There is much evidence that Mr. Obama may not meet the requirement, including the fact that his father was admittedly not a citizen.

You are a friend for sure. Merry Christmas!
  • Tankwagon

Hi Tony. Glad you and Cathy sent me a link to this group. Kind of neat to see some detailed info on all of the old gand from UR. Be thankful you live in Texas, here in Iowa we are getting a pounding of freezing rain and snow.
  • Tankwagon

Thanks Tony. Right now the temp outside is -13 and we still have a layer of ice on top of the snow from the other day. Basically it is like concrete now. Sporadic power outages in the rural areas. Most of the urban areas were hit hard enough two years ago that most of the bad trees already fell. I'd rather come down to Texas right now for warm weather and to flee the liberals that have seized Iowa.
  • Buck Werner/North Texas Assistant State Coordinator

    Thank You

    Tony
  • Jeanette Wolfe

Merry Christmas to you and yours Tony. God Bless you.
  • Tankwagon

Hey Tony, Is it warm down your way? Us Iowegians are frozen up. This morning we almost set the record at -16 air temp. Friday morning we are supposed to set the all time January record cold for SE Iowa (and right up there in all time record too). Right now my weather station is reporting -12 at my back window. All tv and radio stations are saying it will bust the record but by how much is still up in the air. Some say -19 others upwards of -23. Those palm trees are looking very good right now. The other record we will break is the longest cold spell below -10 that was set in 1996. Kind of blows the democrat's view that global warming is real all to hell.

It took 12 hours to fly to DC yesterday because of ice in Dallas, but I'm here and EAGER to cast my vote tomorrow for Ken Blackwell for RNC Chairman. There will be more than one ballot and I'm hopeful that the most conservative and qualified candidate wins: Ken Blackwell.
  • Cathie Adams

I have much to LEARN before I'm ready for such a feat. My second RNC meeting is lots of FUN!
  • Jeanette Wolfe

Tony, I invited Regner Capener and I see he joined We the People, but Im not sure he made it over to U.R. yet.He is on my friends list on my page.
  • Jeanette Wolfe

I didn't mean to imply he was disregarding the invite, I know he is a busy man, I just wondered if he might have needed a bit have help with this being a whole new format and group and all. But Im sure he will make it over and hopefully the Regner's Rangers group as well can flourish here.
  • Cathie Adams

The new RNC Chairman is Michael Steele. I look forward to working hard to make him the most successful chairman ever.
