Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, for by it (faith) the elders obtained (won) a good report (God's approval) Heb 11:1
vs. 32 - 40 is the "Hall of Faith". Reading it in vs we go from what we might call victory to defeat of torture, scourging, bonds and imprisonment, stoning, being sawn asunder, slain by the sword, etc. vs. 38 notes "of whom the world was not worthy", vs. 39 notes they all received a good report through faith yet didn't receive the promise - why? vs 40 notes God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. This "great cloud of witnesses" await our completion, our maturity that His Body, the Church should be presented to him a Bride without spot or blemish.
Our "faith" is in the "finished work of Christ", not ourselves nor what we can do for Him. We don't hold onto him; He holds us and will not stop working in us until He has finished the work that he started in us! Hallelujah - we serve a risen Savior (He is not dead; He is risen just as He said) Find HIm in your completed New Testament, allow Him to captivate you with His Glory - if He be lifted up, he will draw all men to himself. Simply Rozzy,
He does work in mysterious ways his wonders to perform - IMO, BHO came for such a time as this, to break the lethargy of the church, to drive Christians to our position of strength, our knees!! Those who don't know Him, seeing our keeping our calm will wonder "from whence cometh our strength" thus opening an ideal opportunity to point them to the One who never will leave them or forsake them. Yea you are right he does not believe in the constitution and proved to the world that he would spit on the very constitution to become America's first illegal president.

Amen, Amen and did I say AMEN??? I feel the same way. I know the Lord did not create a spirit of fear, but I have a weird feeling about Obama and on the same token, excited? Because if he is the AntiChrist as some people speculate that would mean Jesus coming very soon. Perhaps Obama is making a way for the AntiChrist which is even better because we still have time to tell others about the Lord that we both serve, love and have faith in...

I do not trust Obama as far as I can throw him. This man is not a friend to our country and one day the world will find out. I know that we should stand firm to our faith in God and do not give in to deception I know that. It does not matter about race. I have already had my own race and family tell me that I am a sell out because I am a proud conservative. I am not only proud I am active behind the scenes here in Houston, Texas and I am very passionate about my feelings.
I am black so what? God made “US IN HIS OWN IMAGE” not white, black, Hispanic, Indian, Asian and others from different tongues. God made people in his own image in other words as Christians we should be out there healing the sick and raising the dead… We are in God’s image, but our faith has failed us to perform miracles such as those God said that we could if we only Believed…
So we have a liberal president and one day, we will not have the right to worship the Lord, but I pray that we are raptured before that time but in order to be part of the rapture; we need to check and correct ourselves… So this is what we do… We do not discuss race or the number of friends from a different race to prove we are not racists. We instead talk about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and how “We” can not only be saved, but qualified to enter the gates of Heaven. I don’t know about you, but I do not want to barely make it to heaven by the skin of my teeth, I want to soar in there because of good deeds, obedience and faith in our God.
I am not black or white I am an individual practicing for the big final exam (Heaven) and I pray to God that I pass the test with flying colors…

Amen Patriot Sister... I must remember that as well. I was so discouraged after Obama won, but it has to happen in order for the doors of heaven to began it's opening process. Thank you for reminding me... God bless you and your family
