Here's an important announcement from the Chattanooga Tea Party. Your comments and feedback are always welcome.

1. Come Stand With Us Against Socialized Healthcare

On Saturday, July 18, Chattanooga area citizens will join thousands of other concerned citizens in hundreds of cities across America to protest a government takeover of our health care system.

The protest will take place outside the Federal Building in Downtown Chattanooga, across from Miller Park, from noon to 1 p.m.

“We want to communicate to our elected officials in a bold and unified voice that we oppose any sort of government-run health care system,” said Mark West, spokesman for the Chattanooga Tea Party organization. “A large majority of Americans have health insurance coverage through hundreds of insurance companies, which have had to compete for that business. A so-called “public option” will force most of these companies out of business and will inevitably lead to health care rationing, which happens in every other country with a government-run system.”

To Recap:

Date: Saturday, July 18

Time: Noon to 1 p.m.

Location: Federal Building, Downtown Chattanooga

Sincerely,
Chattanooga Tea Party

Friends,

The Summer is upon is and the Obama/Pelosi/Reid axis of fiscal evil continues to roll on. We must stop them and do it soon. With that in mind, we are having a leadership meeting on June 13th in the Nashville area.

The purposes of this meeting are:

1. To plan coordinated activities over the summer to pressure our Senators and Congressmen to vote no on such things as National Health Care, Cap and Trade, Spending and Taxes.
2. To set a list of goals we want the movement to achieve.
3. To set up a tea party contract for Tennessee that we can present to candidates so that they can endorse us.

If you want to be involved in the leadership of the Tea Party movement, please RSVP to me either on Facebook or on my email Judsonwheelerphillips(at)gmail(dot)com.

Our meeting location is TBA. I am waiting to see how many people can make it before committing to a meeting room (there will be a cost involved).

Part of this work can be done online. I’m going to set up a closed group on Teapartynation.com and encourage everyone who wants to participate to let me know and I will get you access to that group.

Finally, I am also going to invite members of the National Tea Party Leadership Coalition to attend. I do not know if they will be able to, due to the distance, but I would like to see some coordination between our groups. We have reached the point where we must all work together or we will all fail!

Please let me know your thoughts. Please let me know if you can make it!

The first Tipton County Tea Party will be held on Memorial Day, 25 May 2009, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The location is Shelton Park, which is at the corner of Highway 51 and Church Street in Covington, Tennessee. We have permission to park at the Church and at the Senior Center, both are next to the park. Bring your friends, your creative signs (family friendly, please) and your patriotism! Feel free to dress up in Revolutionary Era garb as well. Prizes may be given to the most authentic Revolutionary Era outfit, and the best signs!

This is a non-partisan event designed to ignite the fires of patriotism in the hearts of all citizens of Tipton and the surrounding counties. There will be speeches on our freedoms and on the perils of huge government spending and taxation to the economy and to our liberties. We hope to have balloons for the children, copies of the Constitution, a List of Grievances that everyone can add to and sign, and much, much more! To protest all of the pork in the federal spending bills and budgets, bring some cans of Pork & Beans. They will be donated to local food banks.

Please spread the word to your friends, family, coworkers and neighbors. The larger our numbers the more our elected officials will listen to our message! See you on Memorial Day!

Today is the day! At Noon, we are visiting all three of Bart Gordon's offices to remind him that he works for Tennesssee, not Nancy Pelosi! This rally becomes even more important as the House Energy Committee, which Bart Gordon is a member, considers Cap and Trade legislation. Cap and Trade will add thousands of dollars a year to our individual energy costs. It will kill the economy and millions of jobs. For soccer moms, their minivans and SUVs will be a thing of the past.

Come and join us at one of Bart Gordon's offices, today at noon.
His offices are:

Murfreesboro Office
305 West Main Street
Murfreesboro, TN 37130
Phone: (615) 896-1986

Cookeville Office
15 South Jefferson
Cookeville, TN 38501
Phone: (931) 528-5907

Gallatin Office
100 Public Square, B-100
Gallatin, TN 37066
Phone: (615) 451-5174

Bring signs telling Bart Gordon to vote against Cap and Trade, against more spending and more taxes. Vote against National Health Care, Amnesty and Silencing Talk Radio!

If you can not be there in person, you can still participate by calling his office and telling Bart that he works for us, not Pelosi!

Remember, this fight is not over after today. We still need your help. Invite your friends to join this Facebook group and also to join our site, Teapartynation.com. We must continue to fight until we stop the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda and run them out of office!

Thank you and God Bless America!

Clyde thanks for that post. I checked out the link and found that the article from that site leads to ,what claims to be, Obama's grassroots site. That website has to be one of the most vile and disturbing things I have seen since Obama has taken office. The amount of violence spewed all over that site is unbelievable. I'm all for freedom of speech, but there are physical threats being made to the lives of other people! How is that allowed to continue? We still do have the right to feel safe even in our own homes (via the internet), don't we? All that talk on that site about making lists of people who don't support or who disagree with Obama and his policies, so they can be "reported" and "dealt with". It makes me physically ill to think our country has come to this. I don't consider myself an alarmist... but by the looks of things on that website... Obama will be creating concentration camps for people like us. I never would have thought anything like that would happen, but the people in power now, far out weigh the ones who would try and stop it from happening. Things are not looking good.

GO here and take a look at what BIG O is up to

Group Members,

Since I started this site before the Nov 4th election, I have made numerous requests to encourage members to take ACTION. I have not only posted these messages on this site, but I have sent out email blasts and I have also posted on other social networking sites.

Recently, my current focus is to encourage others to work on a State and Local level and start talking about the issues with their elected officials, state legislators and fellow citizens, which is why I created these State Action Groups.

The problem remains that there are FEW willing to lead the State Action Groups. Sure, some members have stepped up to be State Coordinators and Assistant State Coordinators and that's great! But, the majority of the State Action groups are without leaders.

It seems that many people on this site and other sites I have visited, do not want to dedicate ANY time and put forth any effort other than sitting in front of their computer and hopping from blog to blog and group to group. This is highly unproductive.

Daily, we are witnessing our rights and freedoms slipping away. Instead of watching in a dazed fog as the future of our Country is being handed over to special interest groups, socialists and others who do not value human life, individual liberties and the gift of a Constitutional Republic that our Founding Fathers gave to us, we need to be organizing and planning strategies on how we are going to unite and take back our Country.

I am not sure what it will take for more people to step-up so we can begin to plan a course of action. You CAN NOT plan a course of action on a National level with four or five people. Others NEED to step up to lead. I can't do it all myself and neither can the four or five others that have stepped up.

This group needs a STATE COORDINATOR and an ASSISTANT STATE COORDINATOR. The only way that we will make significant changes is if others, like YOU, step up and and help lead this effort.

I need 100 Americans, 50 State Coordinators and 50 Assistant State Coordinators that are willing to take ACTION!

Only when we have these people in place, can then plan our strategies and determine our course of action. We CAN NOT create a grassroots movement with 4-5 people.

You joined this group because you want to start doing something. Please start TODAY! We need LEADERS and we need to educate other people on different sites to let them know that we are organizing and that we are banning together to take coordinated ACTION!

Start asking people when they are going to take action? When their neighbors are taken away....when their children are locked up.....when their guns are taken from them....when food is being rationed....when their retirement money is worthless? WHEN?

It is no surprise that many states are now proposing state soveriegnty bills, it is no surprise that we may have a Usurper in the oval office, it is no surprise that Congress is planning on spending Trillions of tax payer dollars on programs that are only intended to stimulate special interest groups and NOT the economy. Our Country is a mess. Our educational system is one of the worst in the industrialized world, our jobs are being outsourced to cheap labor over sees and illegal alliens are driving up the cost of our health care.

We have to start talking to others! We have to coordinate activities. We have to ban together!

Unfortunatley, many people think OTHERS will take action. They are WRONG! There are over 730 Members on this site and many other visitors come here each day, just to see what is going on, but do NOTHING. We have to actively seek out citizens that are willing to do SOMETHING. We need to start recruiting the Doers and not the Talkers.

Everyone one of us is busy! The majority of us have work, a home, a family, bills to pay, doctors visits to go to, school and other outside obligations...so please tell people that they can no longer use this as excuse for not doing anything productive, the stakes our too high. Our freedom is at stake.

It will be too late when citizens are taken away to the FEMA camps in the middle of the night or people start to lose their life's savings.

If YOU joined this group because YOU want to do something, please email me and offer to volunteer to help coordinate your state's action group or to find out what else you can do immediately to help us organize and coordinate our efforts. Do it TODAY, because tomorrow may be too late.

“It is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth — and listen to the song of that siren, till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those, who having eyes, see not, and having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it might cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.”
