As this day sees the sunet, The Spirit of it should never die......

In my house, the festivities and fuss has come to a gentle end after completing the exchanges of gifts, and a meal together as a family and a moment of calm before I head out tonight to protect and serve. We never take a day or a breath for granted for tomorrow is never guaranteed. 

We discussed this year how the times of today may or may not have common threads of the time when Jesus was born.

A most interesting topic that seemed to find us but one I am glad we had.  But the take away from the entire conversation is.... the more things change....the more they surely stay the same.

But the solution boiled down too.... the need to strengthen the soul.  All agreed the the soul has been weaken and lost and to affirm/reaffirm our Sacramental Promise of Confirmation, take to our chest the Shield of St. Michael the Archangel as the well deserved Gift to Christ on this his 2019+ Birthday.  The Christ Child has grown, he knows what faces his followers and the believers of his Father and skirmishes have increased and lives have been lost to the destructive entities that have placed a target to deny and demonize the existence or the need for the Trinity.

So.... this Christmas, the gifts we exchanged where limited to need, cool PJ's, socks, gloves.... a special box of candy.... a few things for each, but a gift of spiritual renewal as the 2019th Birthday of Christ that we will be all we Confirmed ourselves to be.  He is the reason for the season, that is without question, yet 2020 appears to be the year to truly live up to our Promise as he was born to do and lived up to his.

I offer deeply from my hear to all of my WTHPUSA Family and Friends that you and your family had a wonderful and special time with family and friends in fun birthday celebration for Jesus..... now that the festivities are slowing down, extend a true spiritual gift to Him, your strength and confirmation that many took to always stand by his side and never forget the strength and guidance of the Trinity.
