Let's resolve this year to be done with the liars in Washington and stop defending the lies they spread like warm peanut butter on hot toast.  Lies like, well, anything that falls out of Sarah Sanders word-hole.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders is a liar by proxy for any number of White House liars, who spends her days repeating their lies or, sometimes in fits of fantasy, makes up her own lies, none of which bear any resemblance to the reality that the rest of us are living in.  The deficit is bad, needs to be reduced, the Dems must stop increasing the deficit,... ...wait.... yes, this tax bill will.....no, it will not increase the deficit by 18 trillion dollars over the average liar's lifetime as the Fake News is reporting.....

She is in fact, a Liar by profession.  She gets paychecks to lie, in public, on camera, to people whose job it is to repeat her lies to us, the general public, and when she stops lying, she will be fired.   You know it, I know it, she knows it, the White House knows it.

Not a word of what she parrots to us is ever, ever true. If she says the president said this or that, it is not true.  She talks to the president something like never and has no clue regarding his thoughts on any topic, and is certainly lying when she is telling us that Trump meant "this" when we all heard him say "THAT!"

Another wonderful weekend in America and American history.  Trump calls certain African nations and the nation of Haiti, "shit-holes" in a meeting called to discuss immigration reform.  Several Senators (some even republican) report what they heard and a few other republican Senators did not recall anything.  Now today, another republican Senator reports that he actually said "Shit-bag".  Trump has said, in many different ways, that he did not say that word, but it's obviously, he did.

The only good thing, if one may call it that, was at first, the press would not repeat the vulgarity but the print media would have "s***hole" in their stories.  A day later, the word "shithole" was everywhere, which answered the question, "Exactly what is the First Amendment to the Constitution for?"  If the press can not report what the President of the United States says in an official meeting in the White House, then there is no freedom.

And now we know a little more about the content of the president's character and that he is still more than willing to lie even in the face of known multiple corroborating eyewitnesses.

Wow, so Obama and Clinton can use such language, but not Trump? And oh, seems there are other Presidents who used such language.  But, since we were not in the meeting, we have to take what others have to say - even though there is no real confirmation. And since I believe there were only 6 attendants (3Dem and 3GOP) besides President Trump and VP Pence,  who are the others who claim he said such words. And you know what? I believe that these countries being allowed to push their unwanted citizens into America, are unmentionable countries. He has not been accused of calling the people names, just the countries.

Many people use salty language, including presidents.  But they refrain from using profanity in the political arena.  More to my point (and the point of this thread), when it was thrown in his face, he lied about it. 

Yes, Virginia, he did insult the people of these countries.  What he was reported to have said was, "Why do we let these [brown skinned] people from these African countries, and Haiti, these shithole countries, why do we allow them to come here?  We need to get more [white] people from Norway." 

Then he lied about saying it.  Even if he didn't utter that word, it is still a racist thing to say, and if nothing else, he is that.

You know what? Based on what is being perpetrated by the false Media and other liars, only whites are racist. But not the blacks, Orientals, Indians, and others of different nationalities. Right, only whites, though some women are forgiven. But Men? Sorry men. You are also racist.

I worked with several blacks during my stay at Oscar Mayer, and even had one manager. I found them all hard working and very nice people. I attended a baby shower for one of them and we were mixed. Had a great time.  However, when I left, I was very careful when leaving the nearby area. Though her family was in a nice neighborhood, the pass through I had to use to get back to my highway out of Madison was trouble. What was scary? I noticed one group of blacks standing around smoking pot and drinking, making nasty remarks to drivers and others

. A few years later, my handicapped daughter (lost both legs in a train accident) was going to the nearby store from her apartment and was accosted by 2 blacks. They stole her money, and pushed over her motorized wheelchair. This was also in Madison (Anna was one who trusted everyone, no basis at all with her.) You want me to like that?  I still have no real racist feeling toward blacks, but I also will not go into a black area or around a group of black men/boys standing around.

So calling anyone a racist doesn't get to the story behind it. As for President Trump, he does say some stuff and tweets some stuff I wish he'd not do; but then good for him. He's getting the whole country involved.  

As for his being racist because he supposedly said "___hole country, again, that isn't against the people. I call Chicago a ____hole city, too. And of course, there are some very good people there. But for years and years, Chicago put their welfare people on buses and bused them here to Milwaukee and Madison. Do you think I will ever forget that? Chicago, the ___hole city.

Ok, that makes me racist too. Right?

While the debate might rage on as to what constitutes a “s***hole” of a country, one thing is not up for debate: the American city of San Francisco is a s***hole.
We know this thanks to an interactive map created in 2014 called Human Wasteland.

What's your point, Virginia?  Since some moron created a map named Human Wasteland, it's now acceptable for a sitting U.S. President to label whole countries "shitholes"?  Because I doin't think it's acceptable.  I don't think it furthers our standing on the world stage nor does it make the United States appear to be a country of compassion, understanding, and tolerance.  By saying such things on the record, he makes us all appear ignorant and racist.

And you preface your post with "LOL" like this is funny.  It's shameful when our society can't provide sanitary relief to those less-fortunate homeless people, who have no place to perform natural bodily functions or wash themselves.  It's not funny, Virginia.  It's insulting, and even more so when WE THE PEOPLE identify problems that we feel MUST BE ADDRESSED, just like this, as well as unrestrained gun violence, crumbling infrastructure, tainted elections, DACA, etc. and our elected politicians absolutely REFUSE to act.

You are probably not old enough to remember or even know this, but, most big cities used to have public toilets and water fountains scattered through out them. There were public "Sanitariums" that kept the mentally ill safe and undergoing treatment. There were Welfare systems that provided Food, Clothing,and shelter, but not money to those in need. until the Democrats systematically shut them all down for false "Humanitarian" reasons.( Basically I believe those humanitarian reasons were those in the systems were technically disenfranchised and could not vote for the Democrats.)

You speak about DACA and you forget Trump was publicly stating he was willing to compromise despite much backlash from his voter base that didn't want any compromise.

It was Schumer and the Democrats who refused to budge and shut down every compromise deal because of their ego's winning out over their 'concern' for the Dreamers, they pretend to have.

On Gun Control: Answer this; When the Democrats had total control over Congress and the Presidency why didn't they legislate those Gun Control Laws Liberals are so damn fond of? When will the people learn that it isn't the guns, it's the people mis-using the guns. We have never did a study on the reasons these nut cases from Columbine up to and including Florida do what they do. I am a staunch Conservative,a full supporter of the 2nd Amendment,and a retired Patrolman with 22 years experience. I agree something must be done.The right things must be done.

However, and I stress this as strongly as possible; we must do the right thing whatever that might be. We know that gun free zones just make desirable soft targets available for the nut case, and terrorist shooters. We know that banning certain weapons does not have any effect as the California ban on AR 15 style weapons has proven. So is, everything we have done so far, including the endless debates over agendas, has not impacted the violence. We have missed that mark by 100%.

What is desperately needed is a Non-Partisan study of all the corroborative factors and underlying reasons the shooters from Columbine up to today including the Las Vegas shooting by thoroughly analyzed to find out every single factor that contributed to the shooters doing what they did.

Once we know the real why's of what's encouraging/driving the shooters, BOTH sides including the MSM pundits&propaganda purveyors,and the general population too, need to ignore their EGO's, Ignore their Agendas, Ignore their preconceived ideas, then make laws and regulations that will both address the causative factors and protect our Constitutional rights. Unless we do that, what's been happening, will continue to happen, and more innocent children and other people will be needlessly killed.

In the service, I have personally seen those "Shit holes" and they seem to have one thing in common; Their leaders want them that way. Most of the aid we send goes directly into the pockets of the Elites who rule the countries. If we really wanted to help the downtrodden in those countries, we would stop sending "Foreign Aid" to them for political concessions from their elite leaders, and let those populations deal with their oppressors themselves, instead of making their oppressors stronger by propping them up.with that aid.

I don't consider Trump an ignorant liar, but that description you use, could be said about 99.9% of our politicians. At it's inception, the USA was a real Republic ruled by the people, whose desires were constrained by a written Constitution. That is no longer the fact of the matter.

What is being done by idiotic agendas of the left, is the systematic deconstruction of our principles and beliefs. Trump for all intents and purposes, seems to genuinely be trying to restore them.He is doing this despite the unrelenting attacks by those whose political and financial fiefdoms will be negatively impacted when he is successful.

I remember when Eastland, Westland, and Macomb Malls all had public restrooms.  Where I live, there are still public toilets and there were more built several years ago.  What I do not recall is a concerted effort on the part of a political party to shut down public toilets across America and find it a bit hard to fathom.

On DACA, I remember Trump saying to just send me an agreement to sign and I'll sign it.   I won't even say I don't like this or that - I'll just sign it ... except, uh...  I won't.   It has to be exactly what I want and nothing less.   Pure B.S.

On Gun Control: Answer this; Since the republicans have total control over Congress and the Presidency, why can't they legislate ANYTHING including common sense gun controls?  BRING IT, republicans!  Let's see what you've got!  Take a look at New York, with the toughest gun laws in the nation because they work.

What are republicans so damn fond of?  The cash the NRA stuffs their pockets with.  They like it so much they are willing to watch thousands of children get shot to death and continue to do nothing.  Study gun controls?  The NRA will not allow the CDC to even collect data regarding gun violence, and you know it.  Conservatives aren't worried about doing the right thing or the wrong thing because they prefer to do nothing.

I'm sure you've seen some horrible things in foreign lands and they may even be what Trump calls them.  The problem is, as the president of the United states, if you want the cooperation and assistance of our fellow inhabitants on this planet, you should know better than to insult and denigrate other countries in the public arena.  It does not help you reach your goals, let alone keep or make friends.  But the ignorant fool we have isn't expected to have that silly thought cross his mind any time soon.

He's intent on destroying our democracy, he is making a mockery of the office of the presidency, and he insults everyone that disagrees with his horrible ideas.  He is unable to comprehend what is staring him in the face and has no intention of changing.  

He is childishly immature and more to the point, he has a mental disorder of some kind that no one around him has the fortitude to even talk about.  Constitution aside, Trump and his blind followers are destroying this nation.

First off the Republicans do not have the Super Majority the Democrats had when they could have enacted Laws. 

Other cities like Detroit in the 1950's had Public Toilets downtown when I was a kid there but one of the Democratic mayors closed them. This also happened in other cities I haven't been to New York for years so I don't know if they closed them there, same with Chicago. I do know that some small cities in Alaska that remained Republican controlled still have some too.

As far as the NRA making money yes they do and so do all the anti-gun groups. That's the problem I was citing. Making enormous profits will prevent any real change from being made.

For another thing, WE are NOT a Democracy. We are a Constitutional REPUBLIC that uses some democratic principles but those principles are supposed to be constrained (like the government was once constrained) by the written Constitution. The politicians changed that to their benefit.

Especially the 14th 16th 17th amendments flipped the Constitution and took the power away from the people and States giving it to the Federal government.

The 14th was the original one that took away power from the States and is constantly mis-interpreted by liberal SCOTUS rulings that legislate from the bench. Other Amendments provide protection for everything the 14th was intended to protect but they are not open to such excessive mis-interpretation.

The 16th was pushed through by a Democratic administration when they had their first try at taxing income shot down by SCOTUS. It now pays for every misadventure that Congress makes. Notice i'm including both parties in the misadventures?

The 17th destroyed the original concept of Senators representing their States in Congress and they were under their State Legislatures control and were never intended to directly represent the people themselves nor be elected by the people. Look up the Connecticut Compromise to see what that means about representing the states.

As far as insulting anyone who disagrees with his agendas, the Democrats have made an art form of doing that way way before Trump ever came on the scene. Besides he has been checked and that talking point about his so called mental disorder has been disproved.

Speaking about blind followers Obama put us Trillions of Dollars in Debt and none of his "Blind Followers" said anything against him doing that. Trump has been working to cut the debts.and saving the financial credibility of this nation.

Too bad, wasn't laughing that was part of the article. You are the comic. Grow up. So just to correct you, I grew up near another family - we shared the foods during WWII. My dad in Germany, the other family - 9 kids and no dad. When I was older, married & with kids, I walked to work, pulling my 2 kids in wagons (husband tried to run over me so I left him.) My mom babysat, when she could. Saved pop bottles and aluminum cans to buy food. Learned to fish and fillet perch and stripers for meat. So don't play your game with me. I know about poverty, and living in a Shit-hole. lived right in the middle of one, mostly manufacturing. (Used to dig little snakes out of the walls of the Pure Oil Co. side walls, and walked the railroad tracks looking for cans and bottles - right behind our house.) Walked to the local golf course at night, and crawled around feeling for night crawlers (didn't have money for a flashlight.)   Late at night trying to sleep, waking up in the middle of the night when a train went by, not pleasant. We were considered living on the wrong side of the tracks (shithole)

The general opinion was that comment was directed against the corrupt governments of third world countries because they abuse their people.

However there are now two and possibly three members of Congress who attended that meeting and discount what Durbin said as an outright lie. Historically Durbin has been caught and confirmed in several politically biased lies over the course of his term. Should we stop him as one of the LIARS you speak about?
