Trumps "Cave?"

Gentlemen,

As usual, I have a different take than the MSM and the Schumer-Pelosi gang. They are declaring victory over Trump. Not so fast!

When I first heard that Trump had signed a 3-week Continuing Resolution to temporarily re-open the government, I smiled. Remember when I wrote that sometimes the only way to win is to "lose"?

As I have said, Trump is playing chess while the Dems are playing checkers. Trump is carefully maneuvering them into an indefensible position.

The Dems have insisted that if Trump re-opens the government, they WILL negotiate to secure the border. Well, Trump has re-opened the government -- TEMPORARILY. Now, the Dems have backed themselves into a corner and must seriously negotiate or lose credibility. Oops!

We all know the Dems will not negotiate seriously and so does Trump. But, by taking them at their lying word, Trump will demonstrate to everyone that they really are liars. The Dems will completely own this crisis and everyone will know it. THEN HE STRIKES!

When it is overwhelmingly obvious that the Dems will not negotiate, Trump will declare a state of emergency and order the military to build the border barrier. Yes, the Dems will run to some commie judge and get a temporary restraining order. So what? Trump will petition SCOTUS for an emergency hearing, skipping over months or years of pointless judicial process and, finally, once and for all, have permanent, legal, Constitutional authority to declare a state of national emergency. And, the Dems will have shot themselves in the foot for the remainder of Trump's presidency.

I believe SCOTUS will grant Trump's request. I also believe Trump will prevail and the border will be secured.

Wait, there's more.

Let's say SCOTUS denies Trump's request for an emergency hearing or -- in the worst case -- strikes down his emergency declaration. What then? Well, as Commander in Chief, Trump can interpret the mass migration across the border to be an "invasion". He can then send the military to the border, under his primary Constitutional duty to protect the country, with orders to repel the invaders and shove them back across the border. "Invaders" do not enjoy civil or Constitutional rights. They can simply be shoved back across the border; men, women, and children included. Since this would be a military operation, the MSM can be legally excluded, hence no "human interest", weepy-eyed stories of suffering by the invaders.

Couple that with Trump's new orders to keep "asylum seekers" in Mexico while their cases are being adjudicated in the courts, taking months or years. Then, Mexico will have to decide how to feed, clothe, house, and care for those waiting for adjudication in American courts. In turn, this will force Mexico to secure its own southern border and stop these endless caravans.

Further, this will all play into Trump's hands and bolster his civil case in the courts. Do not -- FOR A MINUTE -- think that SCOTUS is not fully aware of what is going on, both in Washington and on the border. When SCOTUS finally takes the case, they will know that Trump has given the Dems every opportunity to negotiate in good faith. I actually think conservatives on the Court are chomping at the bit to take this up.

Trump is playing his cards PERFECTLY! In case any of you play bridge, let me say that Trump has put the Dems into what we call a "cross-rough" wherein, no matter what the opposition does, they lose.

Again, it may, at first glance, appear that Trump lost -- NOT AT ALL! He is winning -- again -- and the Dems (along with many non-thinking [conservative] pundits) just don't know it -- YET!

I think Oren is on the mark here. Chess to checkers is a good way to put it...Every time they say that`s it,"TRUMP HAS DONE IT NOW`, they end up holding the short end. He will make lemon aid once again. Dollars to doughnuts.

I wonder when the stupid media will get a clue. What Pelosi and the Democrats are doing is taking America down the toilet - without any toilet paper. One man, the most important for our country, is being treated like he isn't important. So what will America be like if they succeed in destroying everything President Trump has done. We'll be another forgotten playground for the anti-freedom fighters, Antifa, and the majority of Americans who make this country work will be destroyed. Course, that would fit with AOC's 12 year plan.
