Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic
The typical U.S. household headed by a person age 65 or older has a net worth 47 times greater than a household headed by someone under 35, according to an analysis of census data released Monday.
They like to refer to us as senior citizens, old fogies, geezers, and in some cases dinosaurs. Some of us are "Baby Boomers" getting ready to retire Others have been retired for some time. We walk a little slower these days and our eyes and hearing are not what they once were. We worked hard, raised our children, worshiped our God and have grown old together.
In school we studied English, history, math, and science, which enabled us to lead America into the technological age. Most of us remember what outhouses were, many of us with firsthand experience. We remember the days of telephone party-lines, 25 cent gasoline, and milk and ice being delivered to our homes.
We are probably considered old fashioned and outdated by many. But there are a few things you need to remember before completely writing us off. We won World War II, fought in Korea and Viet Nam. We can quote The Pledge of Allegiance, and know where to place our hand while doing so. We wore the uniform of our country with pride, and lost many friends on the battlefield. We didn't fight for the Socialist States of America; we fought for the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave." We wore different uniforms but carried the same flag.
We know the words to the “Star Spangled Banner,” “America,” and “America the Beautiful” by heart, and you may even see some tears running down our cheeks as we sing. We have lived what many of you should have read in history books and we feel no obligation to apologize to anyone for America
Yes, we are old and slow these days but rest assured, we have at least one good fight left in us. We have loved this country, fought for it, and died for it, and now we are going to save it. It is our country and nobody is going to take it away from us. We took oaths to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and that is an oath we plan to keep. There are those who want to destroy this land we love but, like our founders, there is no way we are going to remain silent.
It was mostly the young people of this nation who elected Obama and the Democratic Congress. You fell for the "Hope and Change" which in reality was nothing but "Hype and Lies” from your college professors. You youngsters need to taste socialism and see evil face to face to understand you don't like it after all. You make a lot of noise, most are all too interested in their careers or "Climbing the Social Ladder" to be involved in such mundane things as patriotism and voting. Many of those who fell for the "Great Lie" in 2008 are now having buyer's remorse. With all the education we gave you, you didn't have sense enough to see through the lies and instead drank the 'Kool-Aid.'
Well, don't worry youngsters, the Grey-Haired Brigade is here, and in 2016 we took back our nation. We may drive a little slower than you would like, but we get where we're going, and in 2020 we're driving to the polls again by the millions.
So the next time you have the chance to say the Pledge of Allegiance, stand up, put your hand over your heart, honor your country, and thank God for the old geezers of the "Gray-Haired Brigade."
Footnote: This is right on. I am another Gray-Haired Geezer signing on. I will circulate this to other Gray-Haired Geezers all over this still great county.
Can you feel the ground shaking??? It's not an earthquake, it is a STAMPEDE.

When Ross Perot was in the running, I was already older. Voted for him and joined the America USA party - later to become the Reform Party of Wisconsin. Minnesota also believed in the Reform Party - They elected a Wrestler - Jessie Ventura for Governor. (I still have my Ross Perot pin and I did spend a lot of time canvassing the rural area where we live.)
Just before the first election with Ross Perot, I spent several days wandering around the state square in Madison, and gathered for several speeches. I was threatened several times, but fought back. One person told me to get my teeth fixed (couldn't afford it). So my reply was great - you will be willing to help me pay for it. right? That person shut right up.
The next election for Ross Perot, he did try but then gave up - think there was some threat involved, though don't know for sure.We were out there anyway, to vote for him. I even got in trouble sort of, because I set up a table and paperwork right at the voting area. Had to be 15 feet away and couldn't intercept any voters. but I could wave my papers around and speak. The election officials weren't very happy - they called the police on me. Guess what. The officer didn't do a thing - told me that as long as I did as I had been doing, I was within the law. (She had been watching me for an hour.)
Had one nasty man come up to my table and push some papers off. I'm only 5 foot tall, but I told him to pick them up anyway. Never have been willing to back down, even as a kid.
Stayed with the Reform Party for 2 more years, then STOP THE INSANITY showed up on my new computer. Really liked the group and got to enjoy reading the posts of a few people - "M" was one and KROZ. So that is why I'm still around on We The People, USA.
Wish I could do more now, but at 80 and with a very sick husband, I'm kinda tied to the house and my computer. I do keep on writing letters to the editor and sometimes make some phone calls. And if someone opens an opportunity, while out in public, I am encouraged to inject a comment.
I love what the rest of this group is doing. And I'm very impressed with Hoffi and what she is doing, and all the rest of you. Every little comment, every little push to support America will make a difference.
Years ago, my husband and I stopped voting for the Democrats- only Kennedy, though. We became very upset with the ones we were being given for candidates. - When Ross Perot showed up, we were very excited. I became interested in the We The People America party and signed up. I went out during the weekends, and solicited for Perot. (I still have my Ross Perot pin and a special book on his life.)
I started to spend time uptown on the State St square of Madison. and started attending the speeches that were being pushed. Got into trouble - when I tried to march with one group, a person threatened me. Told me Perot was wrong. Being only 5 foot tall, he thought he could scare me. Nope, been fighting back all my life. Discovered he was from Illinois and I told him to get out of Wisconsin. He can not vote here. Later, bumped into a gal who told me that I should get my teeth fixed. Couldn't didn't have the money. So I suggested that she should help pay for getting my teeth fixed, since she wanted the Democrats to win - they were the ones costing me to lose my teeth.. She shut right up.
The second election, Perot started to back down about running; I believe he or his family was being threatened. I still wanted him to run. So I continued to wander state street and the square in Madison, and went door to door around our home to encourage voters. Then on election day, I set up a table outside,15 feet away from the front entrance to the building. Must have angered the election officials, because shortly after, I was confronted by a police officer. She told me that I was OK with what I was doing. She had been watching me for a hour. She then went inside and set them straight.
(Years later, I arrived at the election booth wearing a shirt that said - "RecallDoyle", one nasty Gov. we did get rid of.) They were not going to let me vote, but since Doyle was long gone, they had no recourse. - voted.)
Outside, a man came up and knocked several of my papers off the table, but I didn't budge - told him to pick them up. He didn't do it, but he knew I was right.
During this Time, I discovered Stop This Insanity on my new computer. And met some really great people, one Was "M", and there was KROZ. Later, it became We The People, USA and so here I am.
Anyway, I am still around and at 80, have lots of wishes I could do, but with a very sick and demanding husband, I spend more time at home. I do send letters to the editor, speak out at grocery stores, when I can, and encourage my daughter and our grandson and granddaughter to vote for the best. (Great grands are too young yet, but they listen anyway.) Threaten them if I have to; they go their own way anyway.
I am so impressed with everyone on this forum, and Hoffi really stands out. Without "M" and Kevin and the rest I'd be missing what goes on - we don't get newspapers here either. So Thanks We The People USA for being here, and helping others like me learn about what is going on.
DARN - discovered my first post was supposedly gone, couldn't find it - computer stopped. So now there are 2 posts, sorry about that.
