Dear (Name Redacted) M Good news from Capitol Hill! Thanks to your vigorous action, gun owners won round two against the anti-gun crowd in Washington, D.C. this week. In the face of hundreds of thousands of your phone calls and petitions, the Collins-Schumer Gun Ban failed to secure the 60 votes needed to pass, falling 8 votes short. Even better, a surprise vote on a gun control “deal” by U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) also went down in flames 67 to 31. But even as we celebrate defeating a total of six anti-gun measures this week, rabidly anti-gun Senator Chuck Schumer and his allies are doubling down. They’re declaring today’s defeat a victory, and say they’ll be back with the Collins-Schumer Gun Ban very soon. They’re keeping this anti-gun proposal on life support, and you can be sure they will be back again. You see, today’s vote is being called a “test vote” to see if the Collins-Schumer “deal” has the support it needs to advance. Unfortunately, I’m afraid it passed that test by a razor-thin 52 to 46 margin. Now they need to find the 8 votes necessary to overcome the 60-vote threshold for cloture, and this will become a reality. If passed, this “deal” would let faceless federal bureaucrats label law-abiding gun owners like you as “terrorists,” and strip you of your rights WITHOUT DUE PROCESS! (Name Redacted), the battle over your gun rights is far from over. The next round of gun control votes in the Senate could come next year, next month, or as soon as next week. My friend the Tradesman, has re-posted this on the Tea Party Command Center Site and here is what he has to say about it;

I have signed the Petition and so has McFix and our adult family members have signed it too. I would hope that everyone who cherishes our Liberty and Freedoms will also sign it to show support for Constitutional Law in the face of the concerted Elitist Ordered, Progressive/Socialist attack to destroy it. I hope everyone will send the petition request to all the people they have on their e-mail list. The current move by the Elitist puppets in the Obama Administration and the Elitist controlled Democrats transcends the regular Dem v Rep battles, and strikes at the heart of our Constitution. If the Second amendment is compromised for a false sense of safety. The ENTIRE CONSTITUTION is compromised and rendered Null and Void at the Whims of the Elitist Progressive NWO Dictators. Don't ever forget that since 1968 ALL Dealers have been required to keep a record of gun sales by the BATFE. Those records are open to the Federal Government and must be kept as long as the dealer is in business then turned over to the Government when the dealer closes his business. Think about it, that means the Feds already have a data base of all gun ownership since 1968 they can use for confiscation purposes.
