The Dutch Tulip Bubble of 1637
The later part of the 20th century saw its share of odd financial bubbles. There was the real-estate bubble, the stock market bubbles, and the dot com bubble, just to name a few. In each instance of price inflation people paid exorbitant amounts for things that shouldn’t have been worth anything like the going price. And each time people stood around afterwards and said “What were we thinking?”

One has to believe that the same thought occurred to the Dutch in the 17th century when they settled down after their bout with tulipomania, wherein the humble tulip bulb began to sell for prices to make New York Realtors blanch.

As much as the tulip is associated with Holland, it is not native there. Rather it was introduced in 1593 by a botanist named Carolus Clusius, who brought it from Constantinople. He planted a small garden, intending to research the plant for medicinal purposes. Had Clusius’s neighbors been morally upright, the tulip might still be a rare exotic in the gardening world. Instead they broke into his garden and stole some of his bulbs in order to make some quick money, and in the process started the Dutch bulb trade

Trump has strength that a leader needs. Rand has a great knowledge of the Constitution and seems to have an ability to keep his personal conservative life seperate. He knows the constitution is for everyone. For him it is mostly about smaller less intrusive government. I like that myself. But to drain the swamp, it will take a Trump to do it. He will not let P.C. enter the equation. I switched to Trump from Rand because I saw Trump for what he was. A flawed person just like me.

Gladly

Take earmarks for instance, in and of itself there is nothing unconstitutional about the device since Congress is given the authority to decide where to spend the money NOT the Executive.

The device can and is abused just like any other and is totally in line with the document. But current ethical opinion is against it because it is seen as corrupt but removing earmarks only places the corruption in the Executive branch where it is much harder to ferret out.

The biggest bad thing about pork. Is they attach it to other bills. It has to stand alone. This is how it would be transparent.

Why do we send money to the federal government just to go through all the crap to get it back. Let the states keep the money and do what they want to.. I guess that would be common sense. Can`t have that. It would be to simple.

Cruz as AG should scare the union democrats

Did Trey turn it down?

He seemed to have a real clear handle on the law. TC not so much.

The left's new plan.
Foment hate and connect conservatives republicans & Bannon to the "alt right".
So what, exactly, is the "alt-right"?

The views of the alt-right are widely seen as anti-Semitic and white supremacist.

It is mostly an online movement that uses websites, chat boards, social media and memes to spread its message. (Remember the Star of David image that Trump received criticism for retweeting? That reportedly first appeared on an alt-right message board.)

Most of its members are young white men who see themselves first and foremost as champions of their own demographic. However, apart from their allegiance to their "tribe," as they call it, their greatest points of unity lie in what they are against: multiculturalism, immigration, feminism and, above all, political correctness.
Nicole Hemmer, University of Virginia professor and author of a forthcoming book Messengers of the Right, explained on Morning Edition.

"So, they believe saying racist or anti-Semitic things — it's is not an act of hate, but an act of freedom," she said.

What is the alt-right?

Imagine if you will a giant finger poking the eye of the guy whose boot is smashing humanity's face a la Orwell.

Basically it is comprised of those no longer willing to ignore the obvious.

Boycott the products en masses sold by media ads. Write letters everyday to media, congress.
