The Dutch Tulip Bubble of 1637
The later part of the 20th century saw its share of odd financial bubbles. There was the real-estate bubble, the stock market bubbles, and the dot com bubble, just to name a few. In each instance of price inflation people paid exorbitant amounts for things that shouldn’t have been worth anything like the going price. And each time people stood around afterwards and said “What were we thinking?”
One has to believe that the same thought occurred to the Dutch in the 17th century when they settled down after their bout with tulipomania, wherein the humble tulip bulb began to sell for prices to make New York Realtors blanch.
As much as the tulip is associated with Holland, it is not native there. Rather it was introduced in 1593 by a botanist named Carolus Clusius, who brought it from Constantinople. He planted a small garden, intending to research the plant for medicinal purposes. Had Clusius’s neighbors been morally upright, the tulip might still be a rare exotic in the gardening world. Instead they broke into his garden and stole some of his bulbs in order to make some quick money, and in the process started the Dutch bulb trade

To any liberals perusing our site this is why "liberalism is a mental disorder" seek help!
It is baffling to you and me its clear the Clintons should not be allowed within a 100 miles of Washington DC they should NEVER hold position in the Federal Government. Yet they seam to be worshiped by the Democrats.
That is a true Yogiism.

To Black Lives Matter.
At it's peak in 1860 only 1.6% of Americans owned slaves.
So when you say “AMERICA IS A RACIST NATION THAT WAS FOUNDED BY RACISTS WHO OWNED SLAVES!!!”
you should know all of the facts.
Somewhere north of 200,000 —TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND— white people gave their lives in a war to free black slaves. Not because they were racists but because they were moralists. They recognized the right of all men to freedom and liberty, regardless of skin color.
And so to win the freedom, liberty and right to pursue happiness of a bunch of black slaves they didn’t know, would never meet, who lived in states thousands of miles away …they gave their LIVES.
They fought, were stabbed, shot and died of disease and infection in what we’d consider prehistoric conditions in which to live let alone engage in hand-to-hand warfare.
This too is the history of our nation. A nation founded by white people who recognized the evil of slavery and stamped it out, wiped it completely out of our country in just about 150 years. Find another nation on earth that can say that.
Instead of being angry with and cursing this nation, every morning we should awaken, drop to our knees and kiss the very ground upon which we stand for being a citizen of the United States of America.
The next time someone says or types to you about how racist this nation’s history is, kindly acknowledge that they are right – but only half right. Then, give the rest of the story.
And by the way it was Republicans that gave you freedom and then protected your rights with the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the Constitution It was the Republicans that introduced and passed the civil rights bills that further protected your rights.
The NAACP!
The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) was founded in 1909 to work for the rights and advancement of African Americans (then called "Colored"). The NAACP Legal Defense Fund was involved in the famous Brown vs. Board of Education case in 1954 in which the Supreme Court declared segregated schools were illegal. It supported the end of Jim Crow and segregation in the 1960s.Bull,
The 14th did not protect anyone except the Progressive/Socialists who wanted to grow a totalitarian Federal Government because with the three words "No State Shall" it turned the Constitution 180 degrees around ant took the power from the people and States and gave it to the Federal Government
M
You need to check your history the 14 amendment gave citizenship to the newly freed slaves at the time it was necessary because the southern states refused to recognize them as such. I agree that the 14 amendment needs to be repealed today because it is no longer relevant and has been badly abused by the "Progressive/Socialists" but when it was passed it was necessary and Progressive/Socialists was not a ism that existed then but segregation and bigotry did exist and even with the 14th full and equal rights did not exist and had to come latter with voting rights 15th Amendment and equal rights bills.

The rights granted by the 14th Amendment are still codified to this very day in Title 42 of the United States Code, at §1981:
All persons within the jurisdiction of the United States shall have the same right in
every State and Territory to make and enforce contracts, to sue, be parties, give
evidence, and to the full and equal benefit of all laws and proceedings for the
security of persons and property as is enjoyed by white citizens, and shall be
subject to like punishment, pains, penalties, taxes, licenses, and exactions of every
kind, and to no other.
You will see from the emphasized phrase that §1981 (which codifies the intention and limits of the 14th Amendment) makes it clear that “persons” [“a separate class of person” – Dred] are to be treated the same as “white citizens”. The meaning is so clear that it is amazing anyone would contend otherwise.
