We The People USA

Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic

The following quote whose origin is believed to be traced back to Alexander Fraser Tyler from his 1770 book, Cycle of Democracy:

"A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From Bondage to spiritual faith;

From spiritual faith to great courage;

From courage to liberty;

From liberty to abundance;

From abundance to complacency;

From complacency to apathy;

From apathy to dependence;

From dependence back into bondage."

The United States has outlasted the average by 32 years, but with over 100 federal programs that foster dependency and an increasing number of adults getting a monthly “entitlement” check, we are now on the road to bondage.

Americans are continually becoming addicted to government, and politicians are the dealers of this drug called "dependency". This dependency will inevitably lead us into a dictatorship.

Our exact place in the current cycle of democracy is open for debate. Where do you think we are in the cycle of democracy and please give your reasons why you feel this way?

I agree. I believe we have moved from apathy to dependence by virtue of the last election. Before, apathy ruled the elections, but 2008 brought out the number of those dependent on the government lured in by the promise of a "tax break for 95% of Americans and/or those making less than $250,000...er...$200,000...er...$150,000...er...$110.000" plus paying for mortgages, gas, etc.

The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.
Alexis de Tocqueville

We will only stay at the dependence level very shortly and head directly into bondage...Third World Country here we come.

Prayers, praying that the TRUTH will come into the light for all to see...Amen. :) I am thankful for all those who are working so hard to bring the "secrecies" out. :)
