“Unless Paul comes out and says, ‘Look, I want to be Speaker, here’s why I want to be Speaker, and here’s why I think I’ll be different and better than John,’ it’s a real hard sell,”

He is the SAME OLD SAME OLD!

More of the same bad apple.

Cruz wins conservative NH group's caucus

Greg Nash

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was the decisive winner in a New Hampshire caucus held by a conservative group on Saturday.

The conservative firebrand took 72.3 percent of the final vote in the several-round election that eliminated the bottom two vote-getters until one candidate was left standing.

The caucus was put on by the 603 Alliance, a group of about 700 conservative activists in the Granite State who met at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds to endorse one Republican candidate for president.

“I am inspired by the number of New Hampshire conservatives who believe that our campaign can win,” Cruz said in a statement shortly after the results were announced. “Working together, we can win the Granite State, beat the establishment, and take on the Washington cartel.”

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson finished second in the poll, and business executive Carly Fiorina third, the group tweeted.

Cruz and New York Gov. George Pataki were the only two Republican primary candidates who made appearances at the event.

Cruz held a rally outside of the fairgrounds hours before the first vote was scheduled to take place.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) was in the state, but declined to attend the caucus, questioning why the group did not hold a more traditional straw poll-style vote instead.

The 603 Alliance said their goal is to unite support in the state behind a single candidate.

Trump hits back at Jeb Bush over 9/11: 'You're pathetic'

Getty Images

Donald Trump is hitting back at Jeb Bush, calling the former Florida governor "pathetic" and doubling down on his pointed comments that 9/11 happened while his brother then-President George W. Bush was in office.

"At the debate you said your brother kept us safe- I wanted to be nice & did not mention the WTC came down during his watch, 9/11," Trump tweeted late Friday night.

"No @JebBush, you’re pathetic for saying nothing happened during your brother’s term when the World Trade Center was attacked and came down," he added in a second tweet.

The Twitter feud was sparked after Trump highlighted that the 9/11 terror attacks happened on President George W. Bush's watch.

"When you talk about George Bush – I mean, say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time," he said in an interview with Bloomberg's Stephanie Ruhle on Friday.

Asked if he was blaming Bush, Trump responded, " "He was president, OK? ... Blame him or don't blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign."

Jeb Bush fired back after the interview, calling Trump "pathetic" and leading to the GOP front-runner's late night response.

Bush has struggled at times with his brother's legacy as president. Initially, he stumbled over questions about whether he would have invaded Iraq knowing what the nation knows now.

He has said he is supportive of his brother and father, former President George H.W. Bush, but would also be his "own man" if elected.

Snowden hits back at Clinton

Getty Images

National Security Agency (NSA) leaker Edward says Hillary Clinton is wrong to claim he could have come out under whistleblower protection laws.

"Sad to see Hillary repeat a false claim despite fact check. She could develop a reputation," he tweeted on Friday.

Clinton claimed at the first Democratic primary debate that Snowden would have been protected if he had gone through the appropriate channels to reveal improper government practices.

But Snowden pointed to a PolitiFact statement rated "True" that says the Obama administration has prosecuted more whistleblowers than all previous presidential administrations combined.

Clinton doubled down on her stance at a New Hampshire rally on Friday, saying Snowden should be made to return to the United States to answer for his actions.

“I firmly believe that he could have gone public and released the information about the collection of information on Americans under whistleblower protection, and he could have done it within the tradition in our country that shields people who come forth acting out of conscience to present information they believe the public should have,” Clinton said.

The former secretary of State, who resigned from her position just months before Snowden stole and made public classified data on the U.S. government's espionage practices, questioned the NSA contractor’s motives after he immediately fled to China and Russia after the 2013 leak.

Top Carson Aide Wants Taxpayers To Fund Farrakhan

Washington Confidential | Evan Gahr
Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan speaks from the steps of the U.S. Capitol at a rally billed as "Justice or Else" to mark the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March on the National Mall in Washington

Ben Carson says a Muslim should not be president.

But his key adviser, Armstrong Williams, has, unbeknownst to the good doctor’s supporters, been praising Louis Farrakhan — even urging Chicago to hire Nation of Islam security guards to fight crime.

Quite the Farrakhan aficionado, Williams had promised to broadcast his radio show live from the hate monger’s 20th anniversary Million Man March last Saturday, recalling to the Washington Times that, “It was a moving experience [in 1995], so I want to be there again.”

Yikes everyone needs to be aware of this. Thanks for posting!

Carson Comms Director Gave Big Bucks To Democrats

Daily Caller News Foundation | Blake Neff
U.S. Republican candidate Dr. Ben Carson speaks during the Heritage Action for America presidential candidate forum in Greenville

Says it's 'Silly' to care about

A top aide to Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson gave thousands of dollars to Democrats and none to national Republicans in the last few years.

Doug Watts works as Carson’s communications director, and statements from him can be found in countless of stories about the candidate, Politico reports. But in recent years, when Watts gave money to politicians, it has been to California Democrats. He gave $1,000 to Jerry Brown in 2006 when he ran for attorney general, then another $2,210 when he ran for governor in 2010. Also in 2010, he gave $1,000 to help Barbara Boxer defeat Carly Fiorina, now one of Carson’s rivals for the Republican nomination. In 2004, he gave $1,000 to Democratic Rep. Jim Costa

Another thing everyone needs to be aware of!
