Paris Attacks Should End Season Of Frivolity

On Campaign Trail

Opinion | Jamie Weinstein
Flowers and candles are placed near the scene of a shooting the day after a series of deadly attacks in Paris

Candidates need to prove they understand the threat we face

Donald Trump: If Paris Victims Had Guns It Would Have Been a Much, Much Different Situation (VIDEO)

On Friday Islamic Terrorists slaughtered 127 people in six Paris attacks.

Muslims Slaughtered 160 People in Paris Friday
Islamists Screaming “Allahu Akbar” murdered over 100 people at the Jewish-owned Bataclan concert hall in Paris.
The terrorists shot them like sitting ducks from the second floor.

Today Donald weighed in on the tragedy in his Texas speech.

Trump argued the situation would have been much different if the victims had guns.

“If Paris victims had guns it would have been a much, much different situation.”

I agree Donald they need to get their guns back.....once again only the bad guys had guns!

Proof what a sick and deceptive individual he is....

22 Times Obama Admin Declared Climate Change a Greater Threat than Terrorism

ISIS has taken responsibility for the horrifying attacks in Paris that have left more than 150 dead and hundreds wounded. French President Francois Hollande is calling for the closure of his country’s borders. President Barack Obama didn’t condemn Islamic radicals for the attacks, but he did call them “an outrageous attempt to terrorize innocent civilians” and “an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share.”

Friday’s deadly attacks thwarted Al Gore’s long-planned Paris webcast and star-studded concert to promote climate change awareness.

“Out of solidarity with the French people and the City of Paris, we have decided to suspend our broadcast of 24 Hours of Reality and Live Earth,” the group said in an online statement.

Coincidentally, in July 2008, Al Gore called climate change a more dangerous threat than terrorism. “I think that the climate crisis is, by far, the most serious threat we have ever faced,” Gore told ABC News.

Below are 23 times Obama or his administration officials claimed climate change a greater threat than radical Islamic terrorism.

In a January 15, 2008 presidential campaign speech on Iraq and Afghanistan, Barack Obama said the “immediate danger” of oil-backed terrorism “is eclipsed only by the long-term threat from climate change, which will lead to devastating weather patterns, terrible storms, drought, and famine. That means people competing for food and water in the next fifty years in the very places that have known horrific violence in the last fifty: Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. Most disastrously, that could mean destructive storms on our shores, and the disappearance of our coastline.”

On January 26, 2009, Obama delivered remarks at the White House on the “dangers” of climate change:

These urgent dangers to our national and economic security are compounded by the long-term threat of climate change, which, if left unchecked, could result in violent conflict, terrible storms, shrinking coastlines, and irreversible catastrophe.

In May 2010, the Obama White House released it’s national security strategy, which said, “At home and abroad, we are taking concerted action to confront the dangers posed by climate change and to strengthen our energy security.” The document declared climate change “an urgent and growing threat to our national security.”

On September 6, 2012, during his Democratic National Convention speech, Obama said, “Yes, my plan will continue to reduce the carbon pollution that is heating our planet, because climate change is not a hoax. More droughts and floods and wildfires are not a joke. They are a threat to our children’s future.

On January 23, 2013, in an address before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Secretary of State John Kerry declared climate change among the top threats facing the United States.

February 16, 2014, Secretary of State John Kerry addressed students in Indonesia and said that global warming is now “perhaps the world’s most fearsome weapon of mass destruction.

In a June 2014 interview, Obama said:

When you start seeing how these shifts can displace people—entire countries can be finding themselves unable to feed themselves and the potential incidence of conflict that arises out of that—that gets your attention. There’s a reason why the quadrennial defense review—which the secretary of defense and the Joints Chiefs of Staff work on—identified climate change as one of our most significant national security problems. It’s not just the actual disasters that might arise, it is the accumulating stresses that are placed on a lot of different countries and the possibility of war, conflict, refugees, displacement that arise from a changing climate.

During a September 2014 meeting with foreign ministers, Secretary of State John Kerry called Climate change a threat as urgent as ISIS.

On September 24 2014, the Obama USDA launched its Global Alliance for Climate Smart Agriculture. In a memo posted by Secretary of State John Kerry, among other Obama administration officials, read,“From India to the United States, climate change poses drastic risks to every facet of our lives.”

On October 29, 2014, in an address to the Washington Ideas Forum, Obama’s Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said:

From my perspective, within the portfolio that I have responsibility for–security of this country–climate change presents security issues for us. There’s a security dynamic to that. As the oceans increase, it will affect our bases. It will affect islands. It will affect security across the world. Just from my narrow perspective, what I have responsibility for, that’s happening now.

During his 2015 State of the Union address, Obama said, “No challenge  poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change.”

In a February 2015 address to college students in Iowa, Vice President Joe Biden said “Global warming is the greatest threat to your generation of anything at all, across the board.”

On February 09, 2015, in an interview with Vox, Obama said he “absolutely” believes that the media “sometimes overstates the level of alarm people should have about terrorism” as opposed to “climate change.”

On February 10, 2015, when asked to confirm if this means Obama believes “the threat of climate change is greater than the threat of terrorism,” Earnest responded, “The point the president is making is that there are many more people on an annual basis who have to confront the impact, the direct impact on their lives, of climate change, or on the spread of a disease, than on terrorism.”

During his April 18, 2015 weekly address on climate change, Obama said, “Wednesday is Earth Day, a day to appreciate and protect this precious planet we call home. And today, there’s no greater threat to our planet than climate change.”

Telling It Like It Is: With A Group of Donald Trump Supporters In Iowa

FORT DODGE, IOWA – Members of the media–who waited at least five hours before Donald Trump rewarded them with a 95-minute speech–call the presentation an “epic rant.”

Trump supporters, however, waited even longer here in Fort Dodge to hear from the man that they consider the right choice for president. Many of them were thrilled. Others were merely spectators, coming to see what the noise was all about.

Part of the reason for the long delays is the additional time required by the Secret Service, now tasked with securing Trump events. Agents ran everyone through a metal detector and checked all bags. But the buzz of anticipation was already filling the Iowa Central Community College campus by 3:00 p.m, where members of the media were told to check in if they wanted to make the 6:00 p.m. speech.

Campaign organizers brought in a group of volunteers and coached them on how to best assist the campaign. One leader explained that while it was important to hand out campaign literature, posters, and sign-up forms before the event, it was far more important to recruit supporters on their way out, describing it as “the harvest.”

“Sometimes we get so wrapped up when you hear Mr. Trump, you forget about the harvest,” he continued. “The harvest is when we could be greeting people at the door with signs and volunteer forms. Make sure you are there.”

The campaign organizer described for the volunteers just exactly what they were about to witness in the arena.

“Events are where you get the belief, right? That’s why you’re here today, your belief in the whole campaign – it will be really – it’ll just be like ::explosion sound:: huge, because you’re going to see the guts, you’re going to see the brain, you’re going to see him just so fired up, you’re going to see his passion you’re going to be able to feel the energy right?” he said.

The volunteers nodded eagerly, holding piles of campaign materials and awaiting the appearance of the man, that up until now, most had only seen on their television screens.

The lines were already overflowing when the doors opened for the public at 4:00 p.m. Due to security screening, it took more than an hour for the audience to trickle in. The auditorium held some 1,500 people. Those who didn’t fit were directed to an overflow room in the gym, to watch on TV screens.

Supporters quickly discovered that if they went out of the auditorium to the adjoining bathroom, they would have to get back in line to get screened again by the Secret Service. Most decided to wait it out.

While they waited for the main event, supporters were happy to speak to Breitbart News and express their feelings about Trump as the soundtrack featuring songs from Journey, Aerosmith, and Adele pumped into the auditorium.

Lee Booton, 71, a veteran, explained he has spent much of his life organizing veterans for multiple Republican campaigns in Iowa. His earliest political memories include putting up flags for Dwight Eisenhower’s campaign as a kid. He refers proudly to photographs he has with former President George W. Bush and even Jack Kemp, when he supported his unsuccessful presidential run in 1988.

Booton indicated that he enjoyed Trump because he never holds back in his campaign appearances.

“I think so many things are going wrong, we don’t have to be politically correct,” he said.

A Rick Santorum supporter in 2012, Booton decided that Trump was the man for him this time around because of his support for veterans. He specifically praised Trump for telling the world that veterans were being treated like “third class citizens.”

“It’s gotta change, the whole policy. I don’t care if he has to fire everybody in the veterans administration,” he said.

He also supported Trump on foreign policy, even though the billionaire is sometime light on specifics. As a Vietnam veteran, Booton emphasized the importance of winning if sending troops to fight overseas.

“I believe in what he’s saying. If we do get involved overseas, we go in to win,” he said.

He also believed Trump was the right leader to destroy ISIS.

“I think he would. I think he wouldn’t even dink around with it,” he said.

A pair of African-American students were eager to talk about Trump, explaining why they supported him.

Mariel Slaughter said he liked that Trump was “a businessman and knows how to get the job done.” He grew up in Chicago, he explained, initially believing that all Republicans were bad, but gradually shifted his political affiliation as he grew up.

He has a reputation on campus for speaking his mind on politics.

“It happened just the other day,” he said. “People were trying to throw dirt on Donald Trump and I had to defend him. I’ve heard it all, but I defend him. I knock down everybody’s arguments.”

Slaughter is currently at Iowa Central Community College on a scholarship studying to become a chemical engineer.

Fellow student Marque Pearce agreed.

“We feel that Trump has a great plan. We feel like he’s somebody who can say what he needs to say. He gets his point across, and he doesn’t beat around the bush,” he said.

Pearce, who up in Wisconsin, explained that he got involved in the 2008 and 2012 Obama campaigns, but that he was not a fan of Hillary Clinton.

“Hillary’s been in the system too long, so I feel like she’s going to be saying whatever people tell her to say. She’s been in the system with her husband,” he said. “She’s a great girl, but you know I feel like Trump could do a better job.”

People who were angry with Trump, he explained, were merely misled by the media.

“They feed off the media. You know the media is going to jump into people’s faces and they’re going to try to pull out the worst of everything,” he said. “That’s what the media does, though, they try to pull out stuff that is negative.”

Candidates like Hillary Clinton,

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)
16%
, and Martin O’Malley, he explained, were just trying to win votes by promising free college.

“That’s a great idea, but I’m already in college,” he said, matter-of-factly. “It’s not going to help me.”

A group of college girls in the audience admitted that they were Trump supporters, but only agreed to speak anonymously as a group.

“I think he really appeals to the younger generation,” one girl concluded when asked why they supported Trump. “They know his name. I think it’s from his show The Apprentice.”

“He’s not the typical political candidate, you know. He speaks his mind … he’s like everyone in our generation; we speak our mind,” another girl explained.

They dismissed the accusations from critics who said he was racist.

“Trump is funny. He just says what he wants. I think that’s what we need, someone that’s not afraid to say how they actually feel,” one girl said.

One girl who was with the group, a Canadian, explained that she was only there as a spectator.

“I see way too many internet memes and posts to have a valid opinion,” she said.

Two other college-aged men in the student section also talked about why they liked Trump.

“Donald definitely just says it like it is. It’s a good thing and a bad thing, I’d say, but I appreciate that,” student Andrew Stover explained.

Student Seth Heinole agreed, explaining why Donald Trump was his first choice for president.

“Trump is more bold, outspoken, and loud. I like how he is funding his own campaign. He can’t be bought by corporations,” he said. He also liked Dr. Ben Carson as his second choice.

Mary Gonnerman, a Trump supporter who has two kids in college, also preferred his tough demeanor.

“His honesty, he’s blunt, he tells it like it is,” she said when asked why she liked Donald Trump. “He’s not a politician. He’s more of a businessman.”

She admitted that she hadn’t been too involved with politics in the past, but believed that Trump understood what was necessary to fix the country.

“It would be such a radical change,” she said. “I think he would need some really good advisors to help him, but he’s not afraid of hurting feelings and doing what’s right.”

Choosing to fund his own campaign, she explained, was another reason she liked him.

“He doesn’t have anybody in his pockets that he has to please,” she said.

Student Kyle Johnson, from Minnesota, said the same thing. He said that in the past he only knew Trump from “the show that my mom watched” – referring to “The Apprentice.”

“You actually listen to him a few times, and he actually knows what he’s talking about. With all of his history with his business, he actually knows what he’s doing,” he said confidently.

Trump’s demeanor was refreshing, he explained.

“I choose Trump because he’s not another politician, and he’s not just going to say stuff just to get the votes. He’s not going to say the popular opinion, he’s not afraid to say something that’s unpopular,” he said.

He also liked how Trump was media savvy, particularly on social media.

“He stands out, especially to us younger people on social media. He’s not just a typical politician going to coffee and lunches,” he said.

Another supporter, Max Breham, was sporting a “Make America Great Again” hat and a “Cats For Trump” supporter button. His support for the candidate was clear judging by his apparel as he attended the rally with his grandparents.

His grandfather, however, admitted he was “still on listening mode” before making a decision on which candidate to support. “He’s a little radical sometimes,” he said, referring to Trump. “But maybe that’s what we need.”

Dwayne Olsen, who served in the military in 1972, had been standing in line since 2:45 p.m.

“I wanted to see Trump,” he said. “I’m a Democrat, but I might change.”

He said that although he had been a life-long Democrat, he was beginning to reconsider his allegiance and had been watching the Republican debates on TV.

“He tells it like it is, a lot people wouldn’t say what he does, he says it,” he said. “He’s got enough nerve to say things that other people would not say, that everybody wants to hear.”

He appreciated that Trump promised to the get the best people available to help run the country.

“If he doesn’t have the right skills, he’s going to make sure he has people underneath him who will help advise him. I really believe that,” he said.

He noted that Trump had completely taken over the political conversation and filled the airwaves. Because of that, he admitted, he hadn’t heard much from Hillary Clinton at all.

“Everything is Trump now, you know?” he said.

Donald Trump: Isn’t It About Time Obama Used the Term Islamic Terrorism?

On Friday Islamist killers linked to ISIS slaughtered 129 people in Paris and injured another 352 civilians.
It was the worst military attack in Paris in decades.
hostage paris

Barack Obama made a public statement after the attacks but did not mention “Islam.”
He said he refused to even speculate:

“I’m sure that in the days ahead we’ll learn more about exactly what happened, and my teams will make sure that we are in communication with the press to provide you accurate information. I don’t want to speculate at this point in terms of who was responsible for this. It appears that there may still be live activity and dangers that are taking place as we speak. And so until we know from French officials that the situation is under control, and we have for more information about it, I don’t want to speculate.”

The killers were screaming “Allahu Akbar!” as they murdered their victims at the Bataclan Concert Hall.
But, Obama won’t mention the word Islam.

Today Donald Trump weighed in.
“Why won’t President Obama use the term Islamic Terrorism?”

Why won't President Obama use the term Islamic Terrorism? Isn't it now, after all of this time and so much death, about time!

Wow. Hillary Clinton Invokes 9-11 Attacks to Defend Her Millions in Wall Street Donations (Video)

Tonight at the Democratic presidential debate in Hillary Clinton was confronted on her millions in Wall Street donations. Moderator John Dickerson alluded to the millions of dollars in paid speeches.
She invoked 9-11.
Slate posted the transcript:

Oh, wait a minute, senator. You know, not only do I have hundreds of thousands of donors, most of them small, and I’m very proud that for the first time a majority of my donors are women, 60%. [Cheers and applause.] So I— I represented New York, and I represented New York on 9/11 when we were attacked. Where were we attacked? We were attacked in downtown Manhattan where Wall Street is. I did spend a whole lot of time and effort helping them rebuild. That was good for New York. It was good for the economy, and it was a way to rebuke the terrorists who had attacked our country.

Democrats were not happy with her cheap trick.

#DemDebate: Bernie Sanders Insists Climate Change is Greater Threat Than Terrorism (VIDEO)

Bernie Sanders CBS Debate

Even after the horrific attacks in Paris last night, Bernie Sanders still insisted that climate change is a greater threat than terrorism at tonight’s Democrat debate.

From the Washington Examiner:

Sanders: Climate change a bigger threat than terrorism

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders argued that climate change is a bigger threat to the world than terrorism during Saturday night’s Democratic presidential debate.

When pressed by CBS’s John Dickerson, Sanders doubled down on the claim, saying that, in fact, climate change is “directly related to the growth of terrorism” across the globe, pointing to limited amounts of water.

“Absolutely,” Sanders said when asked if he still believed climate change was a bigger threat. “In fact, climate change is directly related to the growth of terrorism.”

Watch the video:

Bernie Sanders is insane. The fact that he has so much support from progressives is frightening.

Ann Coulter After ISIS Paris Attacks: Trump Was Elected President Tonight

coulter trump

Best-selling author Ann Coulter took to Twitter on Friday night during the Paris terror attacks, saying that “Donald Trump was elected president tonight.”

She went after the Muslims.

The Hill reported:

The conservative commentator tweeted a series of reactions to the attacks that left more than 120 dead, calling for “no more Muslim immigration.” She also targeted recent U.S. college student protests, as well as American gun and immigration laws and proposals.

Coulter ended her string of Tweets with: “They can wait if they like until next November for the actual balloting, but Donald Trump was elected president tonight.”

POLL: 27 Percent of Democrats Want to Prosecute CLIMATE CHANGE DENIERS

Jail

Are you a climate change denier? If so, you should be prosecuted for your beliefs according to some Democrats and even a few Republicans, if you can believe it.

John Nolte of Breitbart reports:

Poll: 27% of Democrats Want Global Warming Doubters Prosecuted

In a poll of 1,000 likely voters, Rasmussen Reports asked if the “government [should] investigate and prosecute scientists and others including major corporations who question global warming?” A full 27% of Democrats replied in the affirmative, as did 12% of Republicans.

Does this mean that it is now okay to start using Hitler references? Because I’m thinking the time might be right.

Should Democrats win the day on this issue — keep in mind that the 27% only represent those willing to confess openly to their fascism — they will find the courts and jails packed with plenty of bourgeois skeptics; this same poll found that only 24% of respondents believe the Global Warming science is settled. Meanwhile, nearly two-thirds, 63%, believe the debate is not yet done.

The poll found that it was primarily younger voters who want to prosecute non-believers. When you look at the fascist safe-space nonsense rolling out across the American campus today, and the national media patronizing them, this is not at all hard to believe.

What’s next on the list of thought crimes?
