Another MASSIVE CROWD for Donald Trump in Tennessee (Video)

Donald Trump Packed the House at his Campaign Stop in Nashville, Tennessee Saturday.

3,000 turned out for the rally – with an additional 1,000 in the overflow room.
This was a HUGE TURNOUT for a rally that was announced just 72 hours ago!

Trump Stormed Tennessee to push Second Amendment Protection–
This comes after Barack Obama called for more gun regulations this week after the Umpqua College Massacre.

Sunday shows preview: Outsider candidate for Speaker to state his case

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) will get a prime opportunity Sunday to make a name for himself as he bids to become the next Speaker of the House.

The four-term congressman will make an appearance on “Fox News Sunday.” It comes as Chaffetz positions himself as the anti-establishment choice for Speaker.

Chaffetz has recently been critical of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), who is the favorite to succeed Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), for linking the Benghazi Special Committee to Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton’s sliding poll numbers, suggesting a partisan motivation for the investigation into the 2012 terrorist attack.

GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump will also make two appearances Sunday, as he looks to maintain his lead in the Republican race.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) is the only other presidential candidate scheduled to make an appearance on the day.

Topics of conversation include the latest in the Syria crisis and the aftermath of the shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon.

Here are the line-ups across the five major networks:

ABC’s “This Week”: In a pre-taped interview, Trump will talk about the Oregon community college shooting that left 9 dead and 7 injured Thursday.

Christie and Fox News host Bill O’Reilly follow on the program.

CNN’s “State of the Union”: Host Jake Tapper will be joined by co-founder of Americans for Responsible Solutions, Mark Kelly. Kelly is the husband of former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot in the head in 2011.

A pair of high-profile senators, Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), will follow.

“Fox News Sunday”: Chaffetz headlines the program to talk about his play for the House’s top job.

A discussion on foreign policy will follow, as host Chris Wallace is joined by retired four-star general Jack Keane and career diplomat Ryan Crocker, who has served as the U.S. ambassador to Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.

NBC’s “Meet the Press”: Host Chuck Todd will also get a chance at GOP front-runner Trump, and the network will release its latest NBC News/WSJ polls from Iowa and New Hampshire.

Former U.S. ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul and former White House national security advisor Stephen Hadley will also join the program.

CBS’s “Face the Nation”: Will not air due to the NFL game in London between the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.

California’s Republicans Divided over Kevin McCarthy as Speaker

Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) hails from Bakersfield in the Central Valley. But local Republicans are divided about his prospects as Speaker of the House, as McCarthy emerges as the likely candidate to replace John Boehner, who announced his resignation last month, effective Oct. 31.

This is a real tricky situation, a very delicate balance, we could easily be worse off. I am hoping not.

A rising conservative resists a leadership role

The imminent resignation of Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has put Rep. Trey Gowdy in the kind of position any lawmaker would envy. Except, apparently, Trey Gowdy.

The South Carolina conservative has been pressed to seek a leadership spot by a number of Republicans who view him as both a unifying force in a divided conference and their most able spokesman for pitching conservative principles on a national stage.

Gowdy, so far, says he's not interested, insisting he wants to focus on the GOP's investigation into the 2012 Benghazi attacks, which he's leading.

Amid the recruitment effort, Gowdy made a rare appearance at the Republicans' conference meeting Tuesday — the first time he'd attended in a year and a half, he said — to extinguish any notion that he wants to enter the leadership ranks.

Iowa GOP chairman: Caucus will come down to the wire

Greg Nash

The chairman of the Iowa Republican Party says the Hawkeye State’s GOP presidential caucus is still up for grabs, predicting the race will be a “nail-biter.”

“The people are waiting to make up their minds,” Jeff Kaufmann told host John Catsimatidis on AM 970 New York on Sunday.

“I don’t think we’re going to have polls that are predictable of the end of this thing, this caucus season in Iowa,” he added.

“We’re going to be well into January before this thing starts flushing out to the point where you can even start talking about the top five and the bottom five.”

Kaufmann said Iowans are very divided over polarizing GOP front-runner Donald Trump.

“I am still hearing the buzz about Donald Trump,” he said. “I hear people with strong opinions about him, both the positives and the negatives. I certainly have not seen any indication yet that the negative opinions that I’m hearing are outnumbering the positive opinions that I’m hearing.”

Although the GOP chairman maintained that Trump is still the favorite, he said several campaigns are beginning to gain momentum.

“I’m sensing some momentum in the Rubio campaign, in the Christie campaign, in the Bush campaign,” Kauffman said. “I’m sensing some on the ground movement for Bobby Jindal out here.”

Marco Rubio Lends Support to Anti-Cop Rhetoric, Black Lives Matter ...

DeRay McKesson, one of the top organizers for the Black Lives Matter movement, is seeking a meeting with presidential aspirant Marco Rubio. The request for a meeting follows comments in which Rubio seemed to lend his personal support to the group’s anti-cop rhetoric.

I guess Rubio will take his support where he can get it. Shows just who he is in my opinion. The TPP  led by Jenny Beth really made a huge mistake helping him get into office. He has been one disappointment after another.

Hillary Hid Emails So Barack Obama Couldn’t Read Them

Guest post by Joe Hoft

We now know that Hilary Clinton hid her emails from the government during her time as Secretary of State, but why?

It came out in March 2015 that Hilary Clinton had housed her official government emails on her personal server. This was in spite of official Department cables sent to diplomatic and consular staff in June 2011 and bearing Clinton’s electronic signature that made clear to employees they were expected to “avoid conducting official Department business from your personal e-mail accounts.”

Mrs. Clinton last week came out on Meet the Press with Chuck Todd and finally answered some questions about her email server scandal. The first subject that Mrs. Clinton was asked to address was why she would go to all the trouble and expense of setting up her own private email server unless she had something to hide. Clinton laughed off the question by asking “Another conspiracy theory?”  She never really answered the question. (As pointed out by HotAir, NBC blocked the video clips of her responses because they apparently made Hillary look bad.)

Clearly, Mrs. Clinton doesn’t want the American people to see her emails especially in relation to Benghazi. And, based on her history, she is known to place herself above the law (See Coulter’s High Crimes and Misdemeanors and Peschmann’s The Whistleblower). But more importantly to Hillary, and not in defense of her actions, Obama’s recent slams show Hillary’s real motive – she clearly wanted to hide her emails from Obama!

I am sure the criminal wanted to hide the emails from everyone. She was playing all sides more than likely.

Paul Ryan backs McCarthy for Speaker

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) is backing House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) for Speaker.

Ryan wrote in a Townhall.com op-ed on Sunday that McCarthy is a “principled leader who will work hard and get results.”

Ryan, who chairs the powerful Ways and Means Committee, said he has “no doubt” that McCarthy is the best person for the job.

The 2012 Republican vice presidential nominee said McCarthy is the “best listener” he knows and will bring his “collaborative style to the speakership.”

Ryan cited McCarthy’s extensive experience as majority whip and successful battles in Congress over earmarks and balancing the budget.

“Kevin’s record in Congress demonstrates a rare combination of principle, leadership, and effectiveness,” Ryan wrote.

After Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) announced he would step down from the position at the end of October, many pegged Ryan for the job.

But the eight-term Wisconsin lawmaker quickly dismissed the notion, telling reporters hours after Boehner’s announcement that he doesn’t want the top-ranking position.

Ryan’s endorsement comes amid a gaffe by McCarthy that linked the select committee investigating the Benghazi terror attacks to Hillary Clinton’s sliding poll numbers, suggesting a partisan motivation for the inquiry.

The misstep has called into question whether McCarthy is ready to be Speaker.

Oversight Committee Chair Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) jumped on the opening and announced on Sunday he will challenge the second-ranking Republican for the Speakership

Republicans will conference on Thursday to select their next Speaker.

Report: Boehner may delay elections for majority leader, whip

Francis Rivera

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) is considering postponing Republican conference elections for majority leader and majority whip, unidentified sources told Politico on Sunday.

Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.) circulated a letter to House colleagues requesting a stay on the second- and third-ranking elections, Politico reported, which would make the Speaker election the only vote on the agenda for Thursday’s meeting.

Boehner has reportedly not yet agreed to postpone the elections, but said he would consult with GOP leadership on Monday and Tuesday.

“All leadership elections remain on Thursday,” Kevin Smith, a spokesman for the Speaker, told Politico.

Republicans are also considering adopting new party rules that would force candidates to resign from their chairmanships and leadership positions before seeking new office.

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy is the favorite to succeed Boehner as Speaker, but a misstep linking the Benghazi select committee to Hillary Clinton’s declining poll numbers, suggesting a partisan motivation for the investigation, has left him vulnerable.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), who chairs the Oversight Committee, announced on Sunday he would challenge McCarthy for the House’s top job.

A floor vote to select the next Speaker is still expected to take place at the end of October.
