We The People USA

Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic

Eye Opening Statistics in the 2008 election with voting map

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out facts of 2008 Presidential election:

Number of States won by:
Democrats: 19
Republicans: 29

Square miles of land won by:
Democrats: 580,000
Republicans: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by:
Democrats: 127 million
Republicans: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
Democrats: 13.2
Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds:
"In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won by Republicans was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.
Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare.” I personally would add “college students body’s and administrators” to that mix.

Professor Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

Pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

Personal thoughts: If there are this many counties who did not vote for Obama, meeting with these people, organizing groups, educating and a concerted effort of protests, letter writing, and standing up against the tyranny of this administration and congress, how can we not win? It is just a matter of finding one or two in your area and inviting them to join you and to recruit others.

In my town, we are starting with Friday's Glenn Beck program, We Surround Them. By my speaking to two people, there are currently 6 committed to coming to my home for the viewing of the show and 4 others who are traveling or working, but will join the group at the next meeting. We are then organizing "issues groups" each with a leader whose task it is to bring to the meetings their action items, education, etc. about their group, be it the economy, gun control, abortion, healthcare, etc.

The leaders will walk away from the weekly meeting with a task list of things their group can do from all areas of concern, which will include education, letter writing, phone calls, demonstrations, or whatever else comes our way. We also seek to target leaders who are already in office and to help those who are running for key seats. The leaders are also committed to meet up with other We Surround Them group leaders once a month to exchange information and unite.

We can do this. We can, with a map that looks like this, fight to win back our constitution and make this President a lame duck by 2010!

Very interesting post. Great food for thought... though in a minor matter... someone's slip is showing concerning where Olson teaches.
