Polls opened At 7 am and will close at 11 pm.  Is this Italy`s Brexit. Much of Europe is holding its breath...Austria is also voting today. Will they chose a more populous way  2016 has been a bad year for the globalists.

Italy is just barely a functioning state, somehow I think Soros is making money hand over fist on it.

That is just what he does

Kevin,

Since we're talking about Europe, guess who's calling it quits

Merkel will be out on her ass after the upcoming no confidence vote.

Italy PM Renzi facing big referendum defeat: exit polls

Not looking good for Renzi

Correct me if I'm wrong PO but wasn't Renzi the change agent? The people voted for the same ole , same ole?

Renzi  wants smaller government so it is easier for him to dictate. He says to get things passed is to cumbersome. He wants to push social policies with out the hassle. He was for the same change Obama was.It was a referendum vote.

He lost the referendum so he resigned.  Waaaa...Waaaa

European countries have learned forming the European union got them nothing in the long run. Key players made private deals with China and Russia leaving little to gain for the average citizen. Each country has learned they can benefit greatly by negotiating directly with China and Russia and have more to gain. What these countries don't realize is that they are making it easier for them to be boxed into economic situation that they will not be able to work themselves out of a condition that China and Russia have been working on globally for the past 60 years.

Charles,

Renzi has resigned, he held that referendum to reduce the powers of the Senate and was soundly beaten, the people said "No" by about 60% 40%. This means the chaotic status quo politics and economy remains in place in Italy, and this can only hinder the dictatorial EU. Italy has over 11% unemployment and 130% debt to GDP without them improving. As well, like many other countries, there is resentment about refugees turning up out of the blue

Reducing the powers of Senates is a disease going around. Our Prime Minister tried something similar and got slapped in the face in our last election. We now have more anti-establishment Senators than we've ever had before and likely to get more

Italy has an anti-establishment party called the Five Star Movement who saw the "No" vote as a victory for them and they're hoping to do well in Italy's next general election
