My take is, you have an interview first, then chose or hire the candidate. Not the other way around. God Speed America 

 

The following piece is from one of our members of a discussion group that has been in existence for more than ten years.  The writer, Tom Sawyer, is a chemical engineer from Purdue and has conducted, as a principal, business all over the world.  He’s a very contemplative sort and seldom goes off halfcocked.  It’s a very sobering piece, and these events are closer to happening than in anytime in the nation’s history.  I just saw Kamala Harris’ assessment of the economic status of America, and couldn’t believe the continued blatant lying and misinformation.

Folks I think at some point we all have to admit that absent a miracle, defeat is coming.  Capitalism has resulted in the greatest nation on the planet, and competition has resulted in most of the technological advances of the past 100 years.  However, that success has given whoever leads our nation great power on the worldwide stage.  For more than 200 years we were blessed with leaders who understood that Capitalism produced that power and they accepted the responsibility of maintaining the structures that made us great.  

 

However, we now find ourselves in a nation where people who understand why America has advanced above other nations are in the minority.  Our very success and the benefits available to the poor have made America a destination for a better life for millions who have no ideas of our culture, but understand our benefits.  Former President Obama told us he was going to change America, and he set the wheels in motion to do so, by bringing us semi-socialized medicine; importing one million Muslims to cause chaos, and by changing the rules of international banking to handicap our economic influence with other nations.  Trump's election was an unexpected event which stymied Obama's march to communism for four years, but did not reverse it, as Obama's Deep State and their controlled media were able to handicap Trump with false charges and continual impeachments.  The Biden administration has been able to accelerate the move to communism in ways inconceivable just 15  or 20 years ago.  Consider the fact that our borders are basically wide open; the time to acquire citizenship for those here illegally has dropped from one year to four months; our Supreme Court outlawed paying off student debt, but Biden did it anyway, we are now spending more on interest than we are on defense; there are two major wars and the US is doing nothing to stop either.

 

The majority of Americans are so removed from economics and history that in their eyes the coming election is between an attractive young woman and a mean old man; neither of whom would have even been considered for the office of President 30 or 40 years ago, but as Obama promised-----he changed the nation.  Our public education system is no longer among the top 10 or 20 in the world and the result is citizens who have no interest in issues, but make their choices based on feelings, and who  will give them the most benefits.  We now have candidate Harris who is saying everything the uneducated masses want to hear.  She is already suggesting  price gouging in the food industry (one of the lowest margin businesses in the country) and suggesting price controls are needed, both she and Biden are preparing to institute price reductions (controls) on popular medicines.  Her ads suggest ONE JOB is all one should need (a very appealing idea to those working 2 or 3), but how does one get there, raise the minimum wage to $40/hr; or have the government sublement the pay differences necessary to achieve that---the point is very few even consider how to get there; and that is the problem.  The percentage of our population living the 'American Dream' is declining every year, and the addition of 12 million people with nothing only accelerated the inequality gap.  Harris has used the 'equality' word in multiple interviews; she just hasn't said how she plans to address it.  In both DesPlains, IL; and suburban Boston (two very liberal Democratic areas) earlier this year the respective mayors asked people with spare rooms in their houses to take in illegals; nobody volunteered; under communism that could become an order. 

 

I think all Americans whose forefathers arrived here when one had to learn English to become a citizen have to now face the fact that we are outnumbered, and have been out maneuvered, by a shadowy ultra-wealthy group who has funded the steps necessary make us all subservient to an unelected international group whose only interest is world domination.  50 years ago, parents wanted to be the best parent they could be. Today,... the parents want to be rich and famous and care less about thier country.  Sad for our kids................................
