Sheeple: People who unquestioningly accept as true whatever their political leaders say or who adopt popular opinion as their own without scrutiny.

There are, of course, many other definitions of "sheeple", though I could not find one in my old fashioned paper, cardboard and ink dictionary. Suffice it to say that it is, at best, a derogatory term.
I will admit that over the past 15 or 20 years, I have probably used the term at least 10 or 20 times. My use of the term, however, was never directed or intended to disparage anyone.
I do believe that it might be time to address the effect of the prolific use of this term
Let's suppose that you want to make friends with someone. So, you say, "Hey! You asshole, do you want to be my friend?" Well, I think that the answer is obvious.
Now, let's suppose that we want to bring as many people on board the train to return to Constitutional government. Well, we'll surely not call them asshole, so why would we call them sheeple?
Wouldn't we be far better off, and, more importantly, far more effective, if we called them, say, friend, neighbor, fellow citizen?
So, where did the term come from? I can recall people using the term in shortwave broadcasts back in the nineties. To name a few, Mark Koernke, Bill Cooper, Bo Gritz, John Stadtmiller, Norm Olson, Art Bell, oh, and the list goes on.
All of those mentioned, along with many of the more pronounced advocates of the term, were perceived as leaders in the patriot community. And the tendency to use the term was an emulation of those leaders.
Now, what was the first part of that definition quoted above?
If we wanted to have people join us, perhaps we should treat them with more respect than we now do.
