Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic

Pro-athletes across America have engaged in protests that disrespect the American flag.
But there is an awful truth about why these millionaire athletes are kneeling for the national anthem.
And the NFL is desperate to hide this truth from the public.
Athletes are shouting from the rooftops that they mean no disrespect to the flag or the national anthem when they kneel.
NBA superstar Lebron James claims the protests have nothing to do with the flag and that the protests are about “equality.”
ABC News reports:
“NBA All-Star LeBron James spoke to the press today, after Sunday’s peaceful protests at NFL games, in which many players took a knee during the national anthem in support of equality.
“It’s powerful what all these athletes are doing,” James said. “It’s not about the disrespect of our flag and the military that’s made this world free.”
He added, “It’s about equality.”
Dallas sportscaster Dale Hanson also joined the chorus and promoted the fake news that the protest was not about the flag in a fiery monologue.
WFAA reports him stating:
“The young, black athletes are not disrespecting America or the military by taking a knee during the anthem. They are respecting the best thing about America. It’s a dog whistle to the racists among us to say otherwise.
They, and all of us, should protest how black Americans are treated in this country. And if you don’t think white privilege is a fact, you don’t understand America.”
But all these anthem-protesting apologists are forgetting the real truth about why these protests started.
Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick began sitting on the bench during the national anthem in a direct protest of the flag.
The Independent reports:
“Kaepernick’s protest first occurred 13 months ago, but was not immediately noticed. At that point, he simply sat on the benches during the US national anthem during a preseason game, just next to the giant Gatorade jugs next to him.
But, he later transitioned to taking a knee in protest – saying he was doing so to show more respect for military veterans – which turned out to be a much more iconic pose. Several other players joined his protest, even though they received a lot of criticism from football fans who said that it was disrespectful to the United States. Still, the movement did not gain huge traction last year.
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people, and people of color,” Kaepernick said in a press conference after first sitting out during the anthem. “To me, this is bigger than football, and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street, and people getting paid leave, and getting away with murder.”
Kaepernick was protesting because he claimed he felt no pride in America and therefore could not honor the flag.
All these athletes echoing his protest are also echoing his anti-American message.
That’s the real truth.
And the NFL is terrified of what will happen to the business if this gets out.
