Crooked politicians must be held accountable for the crimes they have done. Trump is the only one who will do it. To elect a POTUS who will not prioritize fixing our criminal political system will not be good enough for me.We will not get another one like Trump ,who will bitch slap the evil out of Washington politics..No one can deny that Trump is crazy enough to do it. But he needs us to want it fixed. He can not stand alone..This is that time in history. The time that many have hoped. Turn your back on this opportunity,and we are done. THAT IS THE TRUTH OF IT.

You usually have very astute assessments so i hope you are wrong.We can agree that there seems to be no norms to fall back on as trump has changed everything.There are however norms on the democrat side. Nothing is to low for them to try.They have a candidate that is in my opinion more dangerous than Stalin. They are now pulling out all the stops Khamir Khan , goldwater McCarthyism I'm sure they have more up their sleeves! So at this point prayer is in order.IMHO

I am counting on Trump screwing up this project just as he has screwed up every project he has ever got his hands into. Our country cannot afford the disaster he can cause in mere days as president. I hope most American wake up before it is way too late. All indications so far is he will never win in November. I can't be more grateful to every voter who makes that happen.

I suggest Trump stay true to what he is. Trying to give in to the garbage twisted untruth`s that are thrown at him will tell me he will cave like the others. What I would prefer is an amalgam of Pericles, Machiavelli and Disraeli but unfortunately that "ain't happnin".

And I am hardly nitpicking. I socialize among a working class circle of some 25 men and women. All are somewhere between amused, concerned and disturbed over Trump's recent outbursts. ALL; and these are the voters he must have.

To his great credit, Trump is a self made man who turned his father's millions into his own billions, making him not only rich and famous but a celebrity. Yet an ascent like his attracts many Iago types; the flunkys, errand boys and manipulators, who never cross the strong willed even for an instant, as their very livelihood depends upon complete subservience.

From their faces, it's apparent that his daughter and sons revere and respect him; so where is the voice to raise a hand and shout STOP when he needs to hear this.

The Roman Vestals (priesthood) counseled the powerful, among them Emperors, as to what words were permitted or not permitted; in public, particularly before the Roman Senate. 

Pretending that everything is just swell w/the tone and temperament of Trump's words is an infantile exercise akin to burying one's head in the ground.

The establishment leaders of the GOP have even stooped so low as to state they think Trump will bow out and they will be left with a dilemma over who to run in his place.
