UGH: Donald Trump met with Al Gore to discuss CLIMATE CHANGE

It wasn’t just Ivanka that was meeting with Al Gore this morning to discuss Climate Change. According to Gore, who met with them both, the bulk of the time was with Trump himself and he called it a “lengthy and very productive” meeting:

CNN – President-elect Donald Trump met on Monday with Al Gore — one of the most vocal advocates of fighting climate change.

Before the meeting, Trump spokesman Jason Miller told reporters on a daily briefing call that Gore would meet with Ivanka Trump, the President-elect’s daughter, about climate issues, but he did not know what specifically was on the agenda. He had also said the former Democratic vice president would not meet with Trump himself.

But Gore told reporters after the meeting that he met with Trump himself after seeing Ivanka.

“I had a lengthy and very productive session with the President-elect,” Gore said, according to the pool report. “It was a sincere search for areas of common ground. I had a meeting beforehand with Ivanka Trump. The bulk of the time was with the President-elect, Donald Trump. I found it an extremely interesting conversation, and to be continued, and I’m just going to leave it at that.”

I wouldn’t put it past the former VP to troll Republicans by using vague terminology to suggest that Trump has softened on Climate Change. But given how Trump is prone to switch positions and just to say anything to get elected, it’s also quite plausible that Gore’s optimism about the meeting is accurate.

The fact that Trump met with Gore in of itself is troubling and suggests he sees the issue as at least somewhat legitimate.

Sooo… will we be looking forward to a Trump climate hoax policy all while he protects the coal jobs? Ivanka met with Al Gore today and it turned out to include the Donald too.
