Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic

I apologise for the length of this posting, but the potential for a successful attack on our 2nd Amendment rights necessitates information on the potentials our Government will go to to get their way on Firearms and negate the intent of the Second Amendment.

PLEASE COPY AND PUT THIS ARTICLE OUT AS FAR AND WIDE AS POSSIBLE TO HELP PROTECT OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.

WE ARE ON THE CUSP OF A CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS, and it's the TURNCOAT RINO REPUBLICANS aligned with the worst of the gun grabbing Democrats, who have put us there. They very quietly co-sponsored a bill they desperately want to slip by the public. H.R. 3999, labeled colloquially the Bump Stock Bill. There is no mention of bump stocks in the bill. There are 9 other similar bills in Congress just as badly written, and they could make it possible for the Government to confiscate almost anything in the way of guns. H.R. 3999 is so poorly written it could make Law abiding Americans Felons overnight See the video

This particular bill is deliberately so vaguely written it could potentially say your trigger finger was a 'device' that enhances firing speed of a rifle, or even the ammunition used in it. That sounds ridiculous but it is the first step in what will become a dictatorship. More reasonably they could declare by fiat that removable magazines are contraband under the provisions of this bill.They could declare that ALL semi-Automatic firearms are to be confiscated and declared illegal. True to form, they will anticipate a strong reaction from all gun groups and not attack this through Legislation but instead through "REGULATION" . They can regulate every firearm with tax stamps like they do now for real machine guns and silencers. Yes both are legal if you pass one of the most invasive background checks and fork over a Minimum of $300.00 per item. I'll bet they increase that to $3000.00 per item so they don't violate the 2nd Amendment, and still make it impossible for average Americans to own and use firearms.

Here is the text of that bill commonly known colloquially as the 'Bump Stock Bill';

115th CONGRESS
1st Session
H. R. 3999

To amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit the manufacture, possession, or transfer of any part or combination of parts that is designed and functions to increase the rate of fire of a semiautomatic rifle but does not convert the semiautomatic rifle into a machinegun, and for other purposes.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
October 10, 2017

Mr. Curbelo of Florida (for himself, Mr. Moulton, Mr. King of New York, Mr. Polis, Mr. Lance, Ms. Kelly of Illinois, Mr. Meehan, Ms. Rosen, Mr.Royce of California, Mr. O'Rourke, Mr. Smith of New Jersey, Mr. Cartwright, Mr. Paulsen, Ms. Gabbard, Mr. Costello of Pennsylvania, Mr.Kihuen, Ms. Ros-Lehtinen, Mr. Delaney, Mr. Dent, Mr. Gene Green of Texas, Ms. Stefanik, and Mr. Perlmutter) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

A BILL

To amend title 18, United States Code, to prohibit the manufacture, possession, or transfer of any part or combination of parts that is designed and functions to increase the rate of fire of a semiautomatic rifle but does not convert the semiautomatic rifle into a machinegun, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. PROHIBITION ON MANUFACTURE, POSSESSION, OR TRANSFER OF ANY PART OR COMBINATION OF PARTS THAT IS DESIGNED AND FUNCTIONS TO INCREASE THE RATE OF FIRE OF A SEMIAUTOMATIC RIFLE BUT DOES NOT CONVERT THE SEMIAUTOMATIC RIFLE INTO A MACHINEGUN.

(a) Prohibition.—Section 922 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:

“(aa) It shall be unlawful for any person—

“(1) in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, to manufacture, possess, or transfer any part or combination of parts that is designed and functions to increase the rate of fire of a semiautomatic rifle but does not convert the semiautomatic rifle into a machinegun; or

“(2) to manufacture, possess, or transfer any such part or combination of parts that have been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce.”.

(b) Penalties.—Section 924(a)(1)(B) of such title is amended by striking “or (q)” and inserting “(q), or (aa)”.

(c) Sentencing Guidelines.—Pursuant to its authority under section 994 of title 28, United States Code, and in accordance with this subsection, the United States Sentencing Commission shall amend and review the Federal sentencing guidelines and policy statements to ensure that the guidelines provide for a penalty enhancement of not less than 2 offense levels for a violation of section 922(aa) of title 18 of such Code if the device described in such section 922(aa) has been—

(1) used, carried, or possessed during or in relation to a crime of violence or drug trafficking crime (as such terms are defined in section 924(c)(3) of such title 18); or

(2) smuggled unlawfully into or from the United States.

(d) Effective Date.—This section and the amendments made by this section shall apply with respect to conduct engaged in after the 90-day period that begins with the date of the enactment of this Act.

Notice how it does not;

1. Attempt to define what a NON-Enhanced rate of fire is.

2. Does not name Bump Stocks or any other device except for the questionable "Enhance the rate of fire" statement and that can and if I know our Government will include anything they desire to keep out of law abiding citizens hands.( Large capacity magazines technically 'Enhance the rate of fire."So by the same logic does a semi-automatic rifle or pistol.)

3. Who determines what the word 'Part' means without any guidelines or definitions in the proposed bill. Technically they could say something as ridiculous as a levi belt loop behind the trigger (saw that one in a video) helps increase the rate of fire.

There are many other things wrong on so many levels about this proposed bill and the others surfacing in Congress. All of them need to be firmly rejected by the people and the Congress brought to heel. We are on and have been on the slippery slope of gun control that only punishes Law Abiding Citizens for obeying the law and does nothing to stop the criminals who refuse to obey the law.

While our Freedoms are acknowledged as coming from God, we must realize they are not geared to keep us safe but instead to keep us free. The laws we agree to live by are also only good if everyone voluntarily abides by them. Ever since the end of WWII our nation has been beleaguered by Progressives who in turn have flipped the ideology of punishing criminals into the process of 'Reforming' them. That process has shown to not work.

I can see common sense laws like Don't carry a firearm when you are drunk provided the authorities have an acceptable,reasonable, and quantifiable definition of 'Drunk' like Blood alcohol level used for drivers,and not some speculation of that condition by a third party. The same goes for the Mentally incompetent but there needs to be an ironclad and unchangeable definition of the terms used, and those terms agreed on by the public. I also strongly support firearm safety and competency to be taught by a combination of NRE,DCM,and GOA certified instructors in public and private schools with those mentioned agencies creating the curriculum and working with Police agencies to teach the laws governing firearms and their legal use.

Never forget or feel uncomfortable about the real meaning of the 2nd Amendment and why it was included in the bill of rights. It's there so the citizens can sho

ot back at a Government after all other avenues for reconciliation have been exhausted, that has become dictatorial and unresponsive to the will of the people.

Our first and best bloodless line of legal defense is the Article V amendment proposal process.

Historically and by design of the Founders and Framers of the Constitution, that Constitution was intended to be the chains on the Central Federal Government to keep it within it's specifically enumerated parameters.The progressive opposition has flipped that opposite it's original intent, and is now using the Constitution to put chains on the people and the States through the use of the wording of the 14th Amendment,the money necessary to continue from the 16th Amendment, and the removal of State Legislature representation in Congress by State Legislature appointed Senators by way of the 17th Amendment (Look up the Great Compromise) as it applies to the Constitution.

Here are two videos by professional ATF personnel on Bump Stocks, but you can clearly see where any law like the H.R. 3999 could be used to confiscate legal firearms even if they meet the criteria of one shot per one pull of the trigger.

and

The final link the progressives are forging to set their power over us is the ending of the 2nd Amendment under as many false flags as they can bring to bear to confuse and trick the public into accepting their way a "Keeping Us Safer". Put that way, we all know the government is telling a LIE!.

Even the NRA has second thoughts about this since the Govt back stabbed them with H.R. 3999;

Once we stop the Global attack on our Constitution. We will be better off . The 2nd A will be safe....Stop the NWO and everything will be fine.
