This is by a daughter of a murdered couple in

Raytown, MO, who had a Bible and Bookstore

on 63rd street.

 

She says: When I had to testify at the murder trial of my parents a week

ago, I was asked to raise my right hand ... the bailiff started out "Do you

swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?"

 

I stood there and waited but she said nothing.

She said "Do you?"

 

I was so stunned I blurted out "What happened to

"so help me God?"

 

She came back with "Do you?"

I replied yes, but I was perplexed.

 

Then the judge said. "You can say that if you want to."

 

I stopped, raised my right hand, and finished with: "So help me God!"

 

I told my son and daughter that when it came time for them to testify, they

should do the same.

 

I don't know what can be done about it, but it's time for us to step up and

DO something.

 

NBC this morning had a poll on this question. They had the highest number of

responses that they have ever had for one of their polls, and the percentage

was the same as this: 86% to keep the words, 14% against...

 

That is a pretty 'commanding' public response.

 

I was asked to send this on if I agreed .... or delete if I didn't.

 

Now it is your turn. It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God.

 

Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess

about having "In God We Trust" on our money and having God in The Pledge of

Allegiance.

 

Why is America-- our nation -- catering to this 14%? YES, WHY??

This post should strike a nerve with all of us. Keeping God  grounded in our countries blood stream is the most important agenda we can do to get it healthy again. We can elect another Reagan. But if we turn our backs on God .We are done.Most of us can see that , as our countries value`s have turned away from God, we have been sliding into Greed and selfishness. And greed and selfishness are tools of the devil.Our country has made a wrong turn in history. and the farther we go down this path, the darker it gets. The devil does his best work in the dark. We are traveling in the shadowed edges of the dark places we really do not want to go...If you do not pay attention to God as much as you should, then you better start...Thank you for posting this thread M.

I have an idea. How about we create a committee to put up a huge billboard along a major rd. I~95 near Washington that promotes God being put back into our countries focus...We could raise donations for the expenses. With proper handling we could make a difference. I would not want to stop at one billboard...I would think we could get some fairly cheap rental fee`s by cocerned land owners.I would volunteer my time to find land owners interested. We might even be able to find construction outfits willing to work cheap .The possibility is there I am sure. Just need to move on it.Putting an internet campaign to promote this is not a strong suite of mine. Need someone to handle that. Just need a basic organization to handle finances and oversight of work.

Would it not be better to encourage local groups to form and even get with their churches to set up ads on existing billboards locally and post simple and direct messages on them. It would be just as effective and probably cheaper.

If you can find a church that will  get politically active in a activist type of way. Some churches do billboards but their message is not political. EX: A church will not put a message about Gods hope would be to fix Washington`s broken crooked political machine.

They normally sponsor a message about an issue such as abortion, or marriage. That only divides us all. Most people know that Washington needs to be changed. God does not love Republicans more than Democrats . People in both parties can react to an anti Washington political machine message.

I am talking a huge national billboard campaign. Using go fund me and get people involved in all walks of life to get involved. Just fix the Constitution and then all the other issue`s will fall in place through proper constitutional legislation.All Americans can unite on that , even with different agenda`s . Washington keeps us divided and we all know it. We the People need to all come together and show them that Americans stand united  in our citizens pledge of allegiance.Politics as usual needs to end.

The major impetus for the Revolution came from the pulpits in Colonial times. That needs to be duplicated now if we expect to survive the various threats to our morals the progressives have tasked us with and the Islamic threats the administration has exposed us to. 

Secondly, why can't small groups use the go fund me also and make it a local/regional movement instead of trying to assemble a national movement. That's basically how the Original Tea Party movement started up.

I just think our society is ripe for pro God messaging related to morals and values.Christians need to push back in a big way. Make God Great Again...Our countries revolution was spawned in churches. Preachers rallied people from the pulpit. Look up Black Robe Regiment.
