If you want to purchase an excellent movie produced by a young 20 year I highly recommend this movie.  I just purchases it after reading and viewing parts of it.  This young man started out by making a movie about the wolves of Yellowstone Park and what he found was Agenda 21.  He is looking to make $10,000 so he can advertise and hopefully deliver his message to a large audience.  It can only help our cause if people get to see this movie.  Thanks

Thought you might be interested in understanding how Regionalism is working in FL.  Just some little kinks we need to understand and have in our back pocket.  When one city wants to get something done WE ALL PAY for it.  We need to be able to site examples of other states that are already into Regionalization.  The end game for Regionalization is to remove local government or render them totally powerless. Move the government further from the people and resistance.  In TN we have 9 regions......gee funny we have 9 ICLEI memberships and it appears as if that might have had an impact on how the regions were designed.  Hmmmmmmm do yo think??

Regionalism is being pushed by political and business elites and some special interests to take more money out of our pockets.  We see Tampa Bay Partnership (who was the major donor last year to Moving Hillsborough Forward, the pro rail PAC that has now morphed into     http://www.tampabayontrack.org/)   and TBARTA pushing a regionalism agenda (see letter to SPT from Ronnie Duncan below).  We now see an effort for a Regional taxing authority to build a new baseball stadium for a private owner.

Those in Hillsborough County saw our CIT tax plundered.  That 30 year tax, which built our football stadium (and was sold as a Community Investment Tax to support  projects in 5 year increments) was implemented in 1996 and expires in 2026, but all the future funds are GONE.  From 2005-2007, when revenues were flowing into our County, our then current Commissioners BORROWED against almost all the future funds.  Now when the economy turned down over the last few years, those funds are not available to help cover the huge budget gaps the County now faces.  We have a high unemployment rate in FL and in the Bay area and the fact that taxpayers overwhelmingly REJECTED a sales tax increase for light rail last year, proposing a regional tax to build a baseball stadium to support a privately owned business is ludicrous.

If the political and business elites want a new baseball stadium, they must find private donors to pay for it and we suggest they tap Tampa Bay Partnership who covers 8 Bay area counties first. 

Take pre-emotive action and contact your state rep and senator today.  Tell them NO to a taxpayer funded baseball stadium.

ALL state legislators are up for re-election next year due to redistricting, please vet all the candidates on this issue.
