Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic
It seems every time there's a mass shooting these days, I have to defend the fact that I'm a strong supporter of the 2nd amendment.
I'll get 300 emails from people wondering how I can defend guns while 20 people just died in a mass shooting.
And the media isn't helping at all on this. If 20 people die in a mass shooting, it turns into 24/7 news coverage for an entire week.
But each time a shooting like this happens, it makes me think...
Why is it that we ONLY do this for gun deaths?
Where's the 24/7 news coverage for the 1720+ people that die every single day because of heart disease?
Do their lives not matter?
Where's the uproar to pass regulations so that people don't eat a bunch of junk and wind up with heart disease?
Heart disease is almost entirely preventable with the right diet and staying active.
So why don't we do more to make sure 600,000+ people don't die from it every year?
I really wonder about this sometimes.
And if you want to dig even deeper, why do the deaths from mass shootings matter a whole lot more than the murders that happen every day in Chicago, St Louis and Detroit?
An attack like the one in Orlando hits, and all of a sudden liberals want to ban certain guns and take away more of our rights.
What for?
Do they actually care about saving lives, or do they just want to feel better because they "did something"?
If they're truly worried about saving lives, then why don't they start with heart disease, cancer, obesity and medical errors?
Because those things alone kill more than 3 million people per year!
When you boil it down, this is all about taking away more of our rights. This is about the government slowly disarming the citizens so they have more power.
They don't really care about saving lives, because if they did, they'd be focused on something like heart disease or cancer that truly kills millions of people.
That's all from me for today...
I hope you're enjoying your Independence Day weekend. We're heading out on the boat today (if the rain holds off) and having a little cookout tomorrow out here on the farm.
Be sure to pay attention to your email tomorrow morning, I have something special for you...
God Bless,
