We The People USA

Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic

My US Senator Jerry Moran (R-Ks), along with eleven other RINOs, voted "yes", in agreement with Democrats, to support the House Resolution seeking to stop President Trump from declaring a State of National Emergency on America's southern border and divert Executive Branch funding to secure the border by building a wall or other barrier to stop the invasion of illegals, including drug traffickers, human smugglers, sex-trade smugglers, gang members, criminals, possible terrorists, and others, currently approaching 100,000 illegal entries PER MONTH!

This is an INVASION, plain and simple, and everyone but the Democrats and RINOs knows it!   It CLEARLY requires drastic action.   Yet, "Fortress Washington" sits on its collective hands and bemoans ANYTHING President Trump tries, filing lawsuits and passing a Congressional Resolution while ignoring the elephant in the room -- THE ONGOING INVASION!

Webster's (copyright 1943) defines "Invader" as, "One who invades; an assailant; intruder."   it defines "invade" as, "To enter (a country) with a hostile army; infringe upon; violate".   It further defines "Invasion" as, "The act of invading; hostile incursion; encroachment".

Before the vote I, along with many other Kansans, called Senator Moran's office in D.C. and urged him to vote in support of the President.   He ignored us, instead voting with Nancy Pelosi and the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

I subsequently received a mass email from Senator Moran trying to justify his vote.   in it, he waxed eloquent on his support for the President and the need to secure the border before pivoting and excusing his vote by claiming he was "defending the Constitution" from Executive Overreach.   I think NOT!

Since 1970, there have been 40 or 50 declarations of National Emergency on all manner of subjects, foreign and domestic.   Yet, in the history of National Emergencies, there has NEVER been ONE Congressional Resolution condemning ANY of them, EVER!   And, NONE of those supposed "Emergencies" have even, remotely approached the level of crisis we face on our southern border, a crisis so severe that even Democrats now call it a crisis!

More likely, Senator Moran and his fellow RINOs are defending "Fortress Washington", the Chamber of Commerce, their big donors, and the Swamp from a man the People sent to drain it.

Senator Moran claims to know and love the Constitution, yet ignores Article IV, Section Four which states, "The United States SHALL (my emphasis)...protect each of them (the States) against invasion...".

Further, there is 10 USC 284, federal law that empowers the President to use the military in just this [invasion] scenario AND allows the military to erect walls, fences, and/or other barriers necessary to complete its mission.   U.S. Representative Mo Brooks is very familiar with this law, has advocated for its implementation for months, and can brief the President on its content and legality.   Yet, this information is apparently being kept from the President, intentionally or otherwise.

Use of Article IV, Section Four and 10 USC 284 would instantly take both Congress and the courts out of the fray.

Despite Senator Moran's insistence that he is a staunch defender of the Constitution, I do NOT see him advocating for Article IV, Section Four and/or 10 USC 284 OR making an appointment with the President to brief him on their use.   IF (and it's a huge "if") Senator Moran actually does agree with the President on the urgent need to secure the border, why does he NOT, PERSONALLY, make the effort to advise the President of his legal and Constitutional options?

President Trump is apparently the ONLY one in Washington who recognizes that we are being invaded.   These are not "migrants", "immigrants", "asylum seekers", or "refugees".   They are invaders.   If they truly are migrants, immigrants, asylum seekers, or refugees, they can go to any official Port of Entry, file their claim, and await adjudication -- IN MEXICO as ordered by the President.  But, when they illegally sneak across the border, at illegal points and in mass numbers they become invaders and nothing else.

Why is it important to call them "Invaders"?   Words have meaning!   Calling them "invaders" automatically activates Article IV, Section Four and the use of 10 USC 284, allowing the President, as Commander in Chief of the armed forces, to send the military to the border, REPELLING the invaders.  THAT IS IMPORTANT!   "Invaders" are not given attorneys, court dates, housing, welfare, Social Security, healthcare, or anything else.   they are just REPELLED, PERIOD!

The President is not a Constitutional Scholar; he is a businessman.   He relies on his supposedly "learned" advisors to tell him of his legal and Constitutional options, something they are not doing, again, intentionally or otherwise.   If the President was told of Article IV, Section Four and 10 USC 284, the wall could be built in short order, the invasion would stop, and the border would FINALLY be secured.

If GOP are just as bad as the dems, if "McConnell and Ryan are just as TREASONOUS and evil as Pelosi and Schumer", then what hope is there for this country? The idea of some third party is just plain dumb; only dems or gop win the big elections.

What do you have in mind to save us? By your reasoning, all is hopeless. Seems like you and Kevin just gave up.

By my reasoning, all is NOT hopeless. I am not giving up. I believe there are many good men in politics in our country, and that the overwhelming majority of them are Republicans. If all you people here do not vote for GOP, then you risk the curse of living under a progressive regime. I know you can't stand this kind of talk, but think about it…..if you condemn both parties, what do you have left?

Come on folks there are reasons for all things political - there is no pure anything it is all about power money and keeping it. This has been true since the Greeks and Romans the words change but the quest for control never does?

I am seeing a lot of emotion which is counter logical. Once you get emotional all reason leaves the debate and like the Progressive Socialist Democrats love to use - hate, envy, anger, abuse, bigots, racist, etc all come floating to the top of discussion subjects? All logic is gone.

Mangus is essentially saying the same thing I am, to wit, that we need to keep visceral, emotional responses out of the debate and focus on logic, tactics, and strategy.

I heard it put very well in the form of a question, "When did we go from being a nation of reason to a nation of emotion?"

The Founders were men of reason and used that prowess to write the Constitution.   They did not insert emotion into that august document.   So, too, must we continue that tradition.

The current state of political dialogue (perhaps 'diatribe' is a better word) best expresses why the Founders gave us a Republic instead of a Democracy.   They feared democracies for exactly the reasons we now see all around us, fear, finger-pointing, unsubstantiated accusations without evidence, etc.   They knew that once reason is removed from any debate, it ceases to be a debate and degenerates into mob rule with collateral damage to the innocent.   We are there.

marrand, both parties have conspired to eliminate any competition because they are power hungry despots owned by Nazi war criminal George soros, whose intent is to turn our nation into a puppet of the New World Order.  Look at what the gop has done since Reagan left office, make government larger, more controlling, and despotic.  As I said, they hate Trump because he wants to return the nation back to the people.  sticking your head in the sand and blindly supporting republicans isn't the solution, getting rid of career swamp rats is the solution and Trump is working towards that goal.  there aren't two parties, there is one party with 2 factions and neither faction is interested in government of the people, by the people, and for the people!!!!!

Marrand and Bob,

You are both right -- and wrong.

Getting rid of RINOs and replacing them with true conservatives is important, but only to a point.

Voting RINOs out in the primaries should be our focus, BUT what if the RINO wins the primary?   Do we then have a temper tantrum and not vote in the general election?   I think not!   The result would be a Democrat win.   Ergo, even if the RINO wins in the primary, we must vote GOP in the general.   Otherwise, we are shooting ourselves in the foot to make a point, a point that has no real impact.

There's 'right' and there's 'dead right'.

I am glad Romney lost in 2012. If he had won we would now have Hillary in the White House..When you  polish a turd it is still a turd.. We have so many independents  because of the criminal aspect of both parties. If you want a good political party then you must clean house and start with the foundation. I never voted for Bush , McCain or Romney. And I did not vote Dem. either... Voting for the better of 2 evils will not make our Country Great. Soros and the Bilderberg Group also controlled the Bush`s  and Mitt. In fact , They controlled more on the right than the left. But they could control many liberal lefties because they have more useful idiots. While they could win over the right because of the greed and selfishness that oozes from within.Bob Russell has pretty much nailed it on the head. But I would caution that it is more than the Soros clan. Rothchild family. David Rockefeller family, and the Royal Family of the Netherlands are mainstays. The Royal family of Netherlands played a big part in Hitler`s rise to power.

kevin, you are more correct than you may realize.  I voted for bush twice because he had me fooled and I only saw his true allegiance after he won the 2nd term.  I didn't vote fpor mitty the poo because I saw what he was before the election.  I vote for independents every time one is available because I can see the gop for the two faced rats they are.  while demonkrats are stabbing us in the chest republikrats are stabbing us in the back!!!!!

I will never vote for an establishment hack for POTUS.. I will vote for establishment gop`er for house or senate only if it meant losing the majority  . It sucks that Utah elected such a establishment tool.

Oren, I agree we need to get rid of what you call the RINO faction in primaries but blindly voting gop isn't necessarily any better than voting for a demonkrart because they are all on the soros payroll, including McConnell and ryan.  they hate T5rump, and us, because he and we aren't on their team, the new world order globalist team headed by satan and soros.  the gop fights Trump's swamp draining efforts because they are just as much career swamp rats as Pelosi and schumer are!!!!!  When I see them supporting Trump I will change my opinion of them but I want to see something solid, not hear cheap talk that they go back on as soon as they finish saying the words!!!!!

Mitt Romney blasted Trump over Mueller report. ... Thank God he was never President. ...He has to go. I would be fine if he got ill.....WAKE UP UTAH.......Mitt will vote to impeach. He is owned by the NWO..

Kevin, you are correct about mitty the poo, he is owned by soros just like most of the New World Order puppets.mitty is just another establishment hack!!!!!

Kevin,

The Mueller Report is just the beginning.   It will never end as long as Trump is President, and possibly after he leaves office.
