Compassion in Choosing Her Guests for Barbara Bush’s Funeral.

First Lady Melania Trump attended former First Lady Barbara Bush’s funeral yesterday in Houston, and in a respectful and compassionate gesture, she brought two White House staff members who were fond of Mrs. Bush.
Former White House head maitre d’ George Hainey and current White House butler Buddy Carter accompanied Mrs. Trump as her invited guests. They had grown close with Mrs. Bush, who passed away Tuesday night at the age 92, during her eight years spent in the White House.
“She knew they were very close to the Bush family and wanted them to be able to pay their respects,” Melania Trump spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham told PEOPLE.
According to multiple outlets, White House staffers were particularly fond of George H.W. and Barbara Bush. On Wednesday, Kate Andersen Brower, author of The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House, revealed at CNN that “the residence staff at the White House loved working for the Bushes” and many staffers told her “they were their favorite family to serve.”
"It was my honor to travel to Houston to give my respects to Barbara Bush and the remarkable life she led as a mother, wife, and fearless First Lady. My sincerest thoughts and prayers continue to be with George H.W., and the entire Bush family."
President Trump did not attend the funeral, which is not unprecedented; when former First Lady Nancy Reagan passed away in 2016, then last moocher, mooch obuma attended while resident barry obuma did not.

Mitt Romney Fails To Win GOP Nomination in Utah; Will Face A Primary Challenger.

So that happened. Mitt Romney, whom everyone pretty much thought would waltz to the GOP nomination in Utah. Democrats have little chance to win retiring Senator Orrin Hatch’s seat, so the only intrigue was…well, little intrigue existed. Everyone saw Romney as the heir apparent.
Until now.
Romney may still likely win the GOP nomination, but he’s going to have to do it by winning a primary race:
After a wild and raucous day of voting at the Utah GOP convention, the former Massachusetts governor and 2012 Republican presidential nominee was unable to win the 60% that he needed to head to the November ballot unopposed. When none of the 12 candidates were able to cross that threshold, the party continued with successive rounds of caucus voting until one candidate reached 40%.
On the second round of voting, Utah state representative Mike Kennedy emerged in the lead with 50.88%. Romney came in a close second with 49.12%.
Utah doesn’t have the simplest of nomination processes, but that’s by design. In a standard primary process, the nominee with the deep pockets and backing of party leaders nearly assures one of a nomination.
Utah makes the candidates work to get the nomination.
Naturally, Trump supporters exist that do not like Mitt:
“Romney did everything he could — probably more than any man in America — to get killary clinton elected,” said Ken Welch, a 54-year-old Salt Lake City Republican who stopped delegates in the hallway outside the stands at the Maverik Center arena, where delegates were voting urging them to oppose Romney.
“He had national news conferences, and spoke on Fox News, to announce that Donald Trump was a fraud, he was a lousy business man. He’s a ‘Never Trumper,'” said Welch, an insurance salesman and added that he would support any other US Senate candidates.
“If he would have succeeded in bringing down Donald Trump, we most likely would have ended up with killary clinton.”
Romney’s opponent, Mike Kennedy, spent most of the time at the convention praising Donald Trump. That could account in part, for his better-than-expected showing.
Mitt will likely prevail in the end, but now he will have to do some work before dispatching whatever poor soul the Democrats put up to run against him.

Disturbed Naked Gunman Kills Three in a Waffle House.

A tragic scene unfolded in Antioch, Tennessee early Sunday morning as a naked gunman opened fire in a Waffle House. The attack killed three.
Police say that Travis Reinking, of Morton, Illinois, is the person suspected in the shooting. The 29 year old man is still on the run.
According to the Tennessean, “Police said a gunman opened fire at about 3:25 a.m. at the Waffle House at 3571 Murfreesboro Pike, which is just south of Mt. View Road.
Police said the vehicle the gunman arrived in is registered to Reinking. They said the gunman was reportedly last seen walking south on Murfreesboro Pike, had shed his coat and was nude.
Anyone who has seen Reinking is asked to call Metro police immediately at 615-862-8600.”
The 911 call at 3:25 AM garnered massive police presence. More than 30 police officers arrived at the scene but the alleged suspect had already ran off by then.
According to ABC News, Waffle House officially released the following statement:
"We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident, Right now, our first thoughts are with the victims and their families, and we will be there for them in this most difficult time. We are still gathering the details, and so we do not have much information to share ... This is a very sad day for the Waffle House family.

Police Thwart Possible Mass Shooting by Illegal Alien from Saudi Arabia.

An illegal alien, Saudi Arabian citizen may have been targeting the Women’s March in Indianapolis back in January.
Whatever Ahmed Alaklouk was planning to do with his bump stock equipped rifle in a hotel room overlooking the route of the Women’s March was averted by watchful hotel security who alerted police.
A Saui man already facing charges for a gun-related incident in Jan. is now accused of having guns, including an AR-15 with a scope, with him at the downtown Hyatt during the Women's March.
Some are already using this as another reason to call for more gun control but Alaklouk was already breaking the law by possessing guns as well as by overstaying a terminated student visa. This is an immigration and national security issue not a gun control issue. Had existing laws been enforced properly, this guy wouldn’t be in the country let alone with a bunch of illegal guns.
A man in the country illegally has been charged with a federal crime after two gun scares, including one involving an AR-15-styled rifle equipped with a scope and bump stock outside a downtown Indianapolis hotel on the day of the Women’s March with thousands of attendees.
Ahmed Alaklouk, described in federal court documents as a Tunisian native and Saudi Arabian citizen, has been living in Indiana on a terminated student visa. Federal law prohibits someone in the country illegally from possessing guns or ammo, but court records say police found him with weapons on two occasions in January.

If anything, this incident should have people calling for strengthening our immigration enforcement.
Hotel security saw several firearms inside Alaklouk’s truck parked at the hotel: six handguns in the back seat, and a rifle in the front seat.
Security called Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers. As police investigated, Alaklouk approached and said the truck belonged to him. Police told him to secure his weapons in a hotel safe or out of sight in his vehicle because leaving them in the open could result in a break-in.
Alaklouk unlocked the truck and moved the rifle to the back seat, records say.
As Alaklouk moved the rifle, officers saw that the weapon — which had been modified to function and look like an AR-15 — also contained a scope, bipod and bump stock.
Alaklouk told police his rifle was “fully tricked out” and belonged to his father, according to court documents.
After being removed from the hotel, Alaklouk was placed under surveillance by police and another gun related incident took place at his place of business.
Detectives monitored Alaklouk from outside the business he owns, Medo Tire Shop, 3546 W. 16th Street. He did not leave that day, court records say.
But the suspicions at the hotel prompted the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to begin investigating Alaklouk’s immigration status and whether he could possess guns.
Investigators found Alaklouk’s student visa had been 'terminated' in September 2017, court records say.
About a week after being escorted from the hotel, on Jan. 27, Alaklouk’s second gun incident occurred at the tire shop.
In an interview with police, a woman said she bought a tire from Medo Tire but it did not hold air. She and her father went to the shop, where a disagreement about the tire led to an argument and, eventually, a fight.
Court records say Alaklouk grabbed the woman’s father by the neck and threw him to the ground. As he tried to get up, two of Alaklouk’s employees surrounded him.
Alaklouk and one employee then each pulled a handgun, records say.
The woman then pulled a handgun from inside her car and fired it into the air, police say.
Alaklouk then went into the tire shop and returned with his rifle, records say. And he told the woman and her father: “If you leave, I’ll f—— kill you.”
If convicted of all the state and federal charges against him, Alaklouk faces up to 26 years in prison.

WASHINGTON — Fired FBI director james comey never recommended indictment for killary clinton during the email investigation that dragged on through the presidential campaign and the first months of the Trump administration. Insiders felt that comey was clearly protecting clinton from the espionage and corruption charges that she would have faced from any objective FBI or Department of Justice.
comey’s connections to the clinton Foundation — the tarred nonprofit at the center of most Clinton corruption scandals — are shockingly close.
Former Bush administration official and Washington insider comey served as general counsel of defense contractor Lockheed Martin until 2010, when he cashed out with more than $6 million including bonuses the very same year that Lockheed Martin became a member of the clinton Global Initiative and won 17 contracts from the U.S. State Department, which was led by then-Secretary of State killary clinton.
comey also joined the board in 2013 of the British bank HSBC Holdings, which is a clinton Foundation partner.
But the employment status of comey’s brother Peter comey is arguably the most egregious conflict of interest in the entire killary clinton investigation, let alone in james comey’s career.
Peter comey works at the Washington law firm DLA Piper, serving as “Senior Director of Real Estate Operations for the Americas.”
Shortly before the election, my source called up DLA Piper’s offices in Chinatown and confirmed that the law firm immediately patches callers through to Peter comey’s direct line there.
DLA Piper is one of killary clinton’s top ten all-time career campaign donors.
DLA Piper also does the clinton Foundation’s taxes. That’s right. In fact, when the clinton Foundation scandal broke, it was DLA Piper that performed the 2015 audit on the Foundation, which was supposed to be an "independent audit" for the appearance of propriety.
Property records show that james comey owns the mortgage on his brother Peter comey’s house in Virginia.
Therefore, james comey had a direct financial relationship with a DLA Piper executive at the time he was investigating clinton.
These relationships, though egregious, are symptomatic of the brazen culture of crony capitalism that exists in our nation’s capital.
The public usually is prevented from learning these kinds of things, with the mainstream media blocking information from coming out. Sunlight is the only remedy.
When President Donald Trump finally fired james comey as FBI director, Tucker Carlson said that everyone in Washington knows it was well past due!

Whoa: New Study Suggests Illegal aliens Commit Crimes at Double the Rates of Natives!

New data out of Arizona is showing some shocking results about the number of crimes committed by illegal immigrants vs those born and raised in America.
The new report released by the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) shows that data gathered from 1985 to 2017 found that despite the number of young, illegal immigrants making up a small percentage of the state, they commit a disproportionate amount of crime.
What’s more, this group commits crimes at “twice the rate of young U.S. citizens.”:
Young convicts are especially likely to be undocumented immigrants. While undocumented immigrants from 15 to 35 years of age make up slightly over two percent of the Arizona population, they make up about eight percent of the prison population. Even after adjusting for the fact that young people commit crime at higher rates, young undocumented immigrants commit crime at twice the rate of young U.S. citizens. These undocumented immigrants also tend to commit more serious crimes.
If the figures were extrapolated to cover the entire U.S., things begin to look grim:
If undocumented immigrants committed crime nationally as they do in Arizona, in 2016 they would have been responsible for over 1,000 more murders, 5,200 rapes, 8,900 robberies, 25,300 aggravated assaults, and 26,900 burglaries.
There appears to be a huge difference between the two groups,” said CPRC President John Lott, according to the Washington Times.
“The type of person who goes through the process to legally immigrate in the United States appears to be very law-abiding versus even the U.S.-born population.
The reverse is true for undocumented aliens — they are committing crimes, and more serious crimes!”
According to the Washington Times, Lott said that the 18 to 35 age group was important due to the ongoing attempts to legalize “Dreamers.”
According to Lott, the Arizona data showed that age group had crime rates “250 % higher than their share of the population would have predicted.”

Don’t Mess With Texas: Federal Court Upholds Gov. Abbott’s Sanctuary City Ban.

It’s official. On Tuesday, a federal appeals court ruled in a 3-0 vote that states may punish cities that harbor illegal immigrants, as well as force local law enforcement to turn over any illegal immigrants to ICE for deportation.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott tweeted about the court’s ruling on Tuesday, stating that the “law is in effect.”

According to the Washington Times, "the law also allows punishment for local political officials and law enforcement leaders who carry out pro-sanctuary city policies."
Sanctuary city advocates argued that such a law would breach the 4th Amendment rights of illegal aliens.
Judge Edith H. Jones, however, wrote in the court’s opinion that it’s not exactly clear if non-citizens enjoy the same rights as citizens.
For one, it’s asinine that it’s even suggested by illegal alien advocates that they should enjoy the same rights legal citizens do.
They are citizens of another country, and thus don’t qualify for all the benefits and rights extended to Americans!
Stepping foot on our soil should NOT reward the individual with all the good stuff America offers its citizens, especially when that person doesn’t have to pay taxes.
But I’d also like to raise the point that the idea of sanctuary cities has muddied the waters in terms of how we view illegal aliens. They are still illegal aliens!
By default, being here illegally makes them criminals whether they’re the worst of sinners or the best of saints.
The law has to be enforced because without laws that govern the system, there is no system. Frankly, it’s that system that has made this country so attractive.
If they want to be a part of it, then they must go through the process so many others have, too.

Charges Coming For james comey?

After missing a deadline earlier this week, the FBI finally turned over memos written by fired Director james comey to Congress Thursday evening. The memos are comey's recollection of meetings and phone calls with President Trump.
According to the Wall Street Journal, comey leaked classified information contained in two memos to a friend, who then gave them to the New York Times. That friend was Columbia Law Professor Daniel Richman, who did not have a security clearance.
At least two of the memos that former FBI Director james comey gave to a friend outside of the government contained information that officials now consider classified, according to people familiar with the matter, prompting a review by the Justice Department’s internal watchdog.
Of those two memos, comey himself redacted elements of one that he knew to be classified to protect secrets before he handed the documents over to his friend. He determined at the time that another memo contained no classified information, but after he left the Federal Bureau of Investigation, bureau officials upgraded it to
“confidential,” the lowest level of classification.

Disgraced former FBI Director james comey is officially under investigation for leaking classified intel.
At least two memos that comey gave to a friend named Daniel Richman, a professor at Columbia Law School, contained classified information!
According to the Wall Street Journal, The Justice Department inspector general is now conducting an investigation into classification issues related to the comey memos.
President Trump has repeatedly bashed comey for leaking classified intel to the press, including memos that predicated the hiring of a special counsel and the never-ending “Russian collusion” investigation.
comey has begun a very public (and very stupid) book tour to peddle “A Higher Loyalty,” basically a diary of his time dealing with Trump in White House, which reads as if written by a pre-teen girl.
Apparently, comey is unaware that he has the right to remain silent. Much of what he has said during the tour has shed light on information contained in his memos and he has even contradicted under-oath testimony that he made to Congress.
