Well Billie, Leroy township is next to Painesville which is right at the tip of North east Ohio and just a few miles from Lake Erie and 30 miles east of Cleveland/. The fair tax thing sounds good but is kinda low on my agenda. We are going to have to deal with a COMPLEAT AMNESTY fight with that commie pres and his bunch as well as his gun control program that is sure to come down the line. We have a very serious problem with the whole socilist bunch that was "elected" and the only ones that will win are those that never work and are waiting for the handouts..Gp
Well the Democrats have always been TAX & SPEND that is their platform and way of life. They don't care what you have or don't have they will make you & me pay more taxes and we don't have a job or any income so what do you think will happen? Look back at 1930 and see what the people did, live in tents and starve while the commie democrats lived high on the hog.. Gp
Hi Billie, thanks for joining We The People USA. This site was created to keep people informed about all the issues stemming from the 2008 election and general issues that affect our every day lives. We're now in the processes of organizing State action groups to meet with elected officials and agency representatives. This initiative is new and more information about the activities we are planning will be coming soon, so please join your State's Action Group.
In addition, we are also trying to work with other groups to build a Coalition. We are hoping that we can unite groups under one umbrella called the United Coalition of We The People USA. If you haven't heard about the Coalition, please take the time to read more about it on the Groups page. If you already belong to other networks, please help us get the message out about our State initiatives and the Coalition.
I encourage every member on this site to be active in posting their thoughts and opinions. If you think this site has value, please spread the word by clicking the "Invite" button on the top, just inside the banner, so you can email others on your contact list and ask them to become members.
On this site, you will find is a Member Reference Center under our Forum tab which has a ton of information if you are searching for the best way to contact your elected officials and government agencies.
If you're interested in following the Presidential eligibility lawsuits or the electorate actions that transpired, we have groups following that too. Again, there are plenty groups to join, so please check out the Groups page and do a quick search.
This site also has a live Chat feature that allows you to Chat with other site members who are online. And, if you are active in any outside initiatives, you can post your latest Event on the Events page.
Here, anyone can write a Blog article and all members are allowed to comment on anything that is posted. Please search for the blog article "Members, Please Remember To Mind Your Manners," if you are not sure about blogging etiquette.
If you click the links at the top, just inside the banner, you'll see that some tabs have sub-tabs which link to articles, news and videos. We even have a TV Player under the Videos tab, and while you're clicking around, be sure to check out the WTPUSA Video Playlist and Forum section.
So, please make yourself at home and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Welcome again and thanks for helping "preserve our Republic."
Billie,
My daughter and I were present at the Mike Huckabee rally here in Zanesville, OH when his wife Janet spoke on the Flat Tax. I'd be more than happy to help in any way I can. Dave.
Hi Billie,
Our group is soooo deluged with our efforts against illegal immigration here in NE Ohio. . . we neeed to concentrate on that mostly although I am all for the Fair Tax as well. We signed up at WTP to increase our numbers and be in touch about any potential mass rallies in our state!

You are very diversified in activity to preserve our nation, and I commend this organization for the insight that we must stop the threat of losing our sovereignty. It is my major concern.
However, as I clicked onto "groups", the explanation of each of several 'groups', I could not find where I can show my interest (signing-up) in 3 groups. I am not knowledgeable in computers, so I would appreciate your help.
I saw your post on the Plan to Take Back the Country.
The 16th amendment should be repealed, with no provision for income tax on the people. Additionally, all confiscation of money from the people and payments to other people are not powers granted to the Federal Government in the original Constitution.
On the face of it, the Fair Tax seems better, we decide what we pay by the purchases we make. Current thinking is that the tax would be about 25 to 27 percent. Add that to state and local sales taxes, 9 percent where I live, an it is still 34 to 36 percent of income, less the cost of living credit. This is a savings, IF the FICA and Medicare deductions are removed along with the federal withholding/payroll tax.
Since there is no guaranty that the Fed sales tax rate will not increase. If this type tax does pass, what would prevent Congress from increasing the rate? I get the point of this type of tax: everyone pays, even illegals, criminals, wealthy with no net annual gains, etc.
Without reform of the multitude of Federal entitlement programs, ANY federal tax plan is just a different way for the giant federal financial vacuum to suck personal wealth from those who have money to re-distribute to those who do not.
Before this type of tax reform takes place, entitlement reform MUST take place and the Federal Government powers be restored to those enumerated in the original Constitution. Why should the people back this or any plan that continues to take from the "rich" (read - middle class) and give to those who will not work? What is the calculated needed Federal sales tax if Federal money giveaways, Foreign and Domestic are eliminated??
27 percent seems like an awful lot on annual Gross Domestic Purchases of nearly 15 TRILLION dollars in 2008.
