STRATEN, LOCAL GROUP LAUNCH NATIONAL WEBSITE THAT IDENTIFIES ‘TEA PARTY PREFERRED’ CANDIDATES
.
MONTCLAIR – Republican 8th Congressional District candidate Roland Straten, in cooperation with the Alliance for Free Choice in Education, has launched a new website – www.TeaPartyPreferred.com – that enables voters in all 435 Congressional districts to identify the “Tea Party Preferred” candidate for Congress in each district and to link to each candidate’s website.
.
Straten is a founding member of the Alliance for Free Choice in Education, the organization that compiled the information found at the website. “Voters across the country can use this website to determine which candidates we need to elect to Congress so we can take back our government and our Constitution,” Straten said. “All you have to do to access this information is enter a zip code.”
.
Criteria used to identify the “Tea Party Preferred” candidates are explained at the website. “As indicated beside every Preferred Candidate, decisions are made by local and national groups, such as Retake Congress, Independence Caucus, Eagle Forum and Freedom Works,” according to the website. “We don't require ‘endorsements’ – only the preferred candidate in each race.”
.
Straten urges conservative voters around the nation to inform each other about the Tea Party Preferred website and to share the link widely. “We all have contacts in other districts or states,” Straten said. “The Tea Party Preferred website makes it easy for people to inform their friends in other districts or states about these candidates and to support them.”
.
Straten is a businessman whose Paterson company has thrived for over 40 years, despite ever-increasing government regulation and taxation. He was an early champion of a return to the foundational principles of American liberty. He has addressed rallies in Newark, Paterson and West Orange in favor of parental choice in education and supports the D.C. Civil Rights Act for Equal Educational Opportunity. “By supporting each other, we multiply the power of our votes,” Straten said.
