[1]. Rangel plan gives prez 'civilian security force'

.

When Barack Obama was campaigning for president in 2008, he visited Colorado Springs and WND broke the the story that he wanted a "Civilian National Security Force" as big and as well-funded as the $650 billion-plus U.S. military. Now Charlie Rangel is proposing that he have it. Read the latest now on WND.com.

[2]. Economists Forecast Unemployment To Remain At Nine Percent Through 2011

.

The Associated Press

.

The new Congress that begins in January will confront an economy and a job market that will improve only slightly next year, according to an Associated Press survey of leading economists that found them gloomier than they were three months ago. The economists forecast that unemployment will dip only a bit from the current 9.6 percent to a still-high 9 percent at the end of 2011, in their view, and some economists now think unemployment won't drop to a historically normal 5.5 percent to 6 percent until at least 2018 -- several years later than previously envisioned.

[3]. 2008 – 2010: From "Yes We Can" to "Shove It" in Two Short Years

.

How things have changed since election night 2008, just two short years ago.

From Chicago to Cairo, euphoric throngs and prostrate pundits worshiped Barack Obama as indomitable. He stood, in the infamous words of Newsweek editor Evan Thomas, "above the country above... above the world, he's sort of God." Imagine the disbelief and ridicule awaiting anyone then bold enough to predict the things we're currently witnessing as Americans march toward voting booths next week. Read more now.

[4]. Obama Betrays a Dream, Disappoints a Nation

.

In American politics, nothing is permanent. On election night this year, that should be the thought running through the minds of the liberal pundits who believed they were dancing on the Republican Party's grave two years earlier. In those halcyon days, James Carville wrote of a 40-year Democratic majority. The New York Times Book Review's Sam Tanenhaus declared "the death of conservatism." And Time magazine ran a cover with the GOP's logo under the heading "Endangered Species" (note the editorial decision not to use a question mark).

.

The commentariat will call the sharp Republican turnaround that is likely to result from the midterms "unprecedented." They will be wrong. Read more now.

[5]. Obama Sees America as Evil

.

October 28, 2010

.

Shelby Steele has a great, great piece in the Wall Street Journal today:

.

"A Referendum on the Redeemer." This one sentence in this piece, I want you to listen to this. This is one of those things I wish that I, El Rushbo, could claim that I wrote: "Barack Obama put the Democrats in the position of forever redeeming a fallen nation rather than leading a great one." Bingo! That one sentence... Remember when I always say: "Brevity is the soul of wit." That one sentence encapsulates it: "Barack Obama put the Democrats in the position of forever redeeming a fallen nation rather than leading a great one." Now, back to the HillBuzz guy's theory. If they're right, then there are some Democrats who are fed up with that kind of leadership at the top of the party. Redeeming a fallen nation, leading the nation in decline rather than leading a great one.

[7]. ACTION ALERT: PLEASE SEND THIS OUT TO EVERYONE - THIS SAYS IT ALL. THE LEGAL TERM IN IMMIGRATION LAW FOR SOMEONE WHO ENTERS BY BREAKING OUR LAW IS ONE THING "ONLY" - AN "ILLEGAL ALIEN" & IT IS A CRIME!

.

What illegal aliens are not

.

Those illegally in a country are not immigrants. Technically, there is no such thing as an “illegal immigrant”. An immigrant is involved with an established and orderly procedure of immigration (entering a country to which one is not native in order to settle there by legal process).

They are not immigrants (the liberal media’s favorite), not undocumented immigrants (the PC fan favorite), not undocumented workers (Gloria Allred’s favorite), not undocumented Americans (Harry Reid’s favorite), not economic immigrants (Big Business favorite), not immigrants without work papers, not people who are working (open borders activist favorite), not migrant workers, not entrants, not day laborers, not the “unbanked” (Bill Clinton and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s favorite), not irregular migrants (the U.N.’s favorite) and certainly not “new Americans” the latest term applied by the persistent amnesty zealots.
