Action Alert: Petition to NRSC; letter to Congress

To our members, Several new Action Alert items have been added to the Action Alert widget on Citizens in Action! Please click the link above (or below) to access the CIA Action Alert widget (red widget in center of main page); then click on the links provided for each Action Alert in the widget. Action Alert: Petition to NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee). Is the NRSC the "new ACORN?" Their actions in Alaska are sure "smelling" like it! The NRSC "has sent a team of lawyers and political hacks - including the NRSC's top lawyer - to Alaska to potentially manipulate the vote-counting process in the Alaska GOP Senate race.Their apparent goal: to help Liberal Sen. Lisa Murkowski steal the election from Conservative Republican, Joe Miller, who currently leads in the vote count," (www.TeaPartyExpress.org). Please sign the petition demanding that the votes be counted fairly! If THE PEOPLE have chosen Joe Miller as their Senator from Alaska by majority vote; then Joe Miller it should be! At this time, we do not have a list of the Senators that make up the NRSC, so we suggest that in addition to signing the petition, you contact your state Senators and ask them to demand that the NRSC COUNT THE VOTE FAIRLY! The NRSC should NOT decide the outcome of the election! Action Alert: Letter to Congress concerning the rebuilding of mosques around the world--on YOUR tax dollars! It's bad enough that muslims plan to build a mosque at Ground Zero--in spite of overwhelming opposition against it! Isn't it insult enough that Mr. obama has voiced his support of the building of this mosque? Now we've learned that obama plans "to give away nearly $6 million of American tax dollars to restore 63 historic and cultural sites, including Islamic mosques and minarets, in 55 nations," (American Family Association). See the State Report here. Please send a letter to Congress voicing your opposition to using American tax dollars to restore these historic and cultural sites, including mosques, in other nations!
