This weeks' conference call guest speaker will be Gary Kreep, Attorney for 2008 presidential candidate Alan Keyes. As most of you know, Alan Keyes filed a lawsuit against the California Secretary of State, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and California's 55 Democratic electors challenging Obama's eligibility, which has recently been denied by a California judge. Gary Kreep of the United States Justice Foundation has confirmed that case will be appealed.
"The judge's ruling in the case that only Congress and only on Jan. 6 of each year following a presidential election can object as to whether the nominee is eligible to serve as president of the United States is, in our opinion, completely wrong and eviscerates the [Constitutional] requirements for serving as president in the United States Constitution,"
- Gary Kreep
California in the past has exercised the authority to determine whether presidential candidates are qualified, and remove them from the ballot if they are not. The most famous of these cases was Eldridge Cleaver in 1968.
The judge also denied a subpoena for Obama's records from Occidental College.
Gary Kreep is the Executive Director of the United States Justice Foundation. A 1972 graduate of the University of California at San Diego, Mr. Kreep graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1975 with a Juris Doctor. Mr. Kreep passed the California State Bar Examination on his first try, and started practicing law in 1975. He is the sole owner of a small law firm, and co-founded the UNITED STATES JUSTICE FOUNDATION (USJF) in 1979.
