Here Is How A Left Wing Senator Sees The NDAA

United States Senator Debbie Stabenow - Michigan

January 5, 2012

Dear ***********,

Thank you for contacting me about detainee provisions in the National Defense Authorization Act. I share your support for protecting civil liberties, which is why I believe the government's detainee policy should be codified in law.

I strongly believe that the President needs the power to keep Americans safe and that power should be used carefully and in accordance with the Constitution. Currently, the detainee policy is cobbled together from Presidential directives and Supreme Court cases. The policy has been developed ad-hoc since 2001, and is subject to change at the whim of a President. The National Defense Authorization Act only codifies into law what is currently U.S. policy.

I voted to ensure that only terrorists who are members of al-Qaeda and who commit an act of war against the United States can be detained. For the first time, detainees now have the right to a hearing before a judge with a defense lawyer present. The bill, which passed the Senate by a vote of 93-7, also protects the right of habeas corpus. In addition, I voted for an amendment, which passed, explicitly stating that nothing in the bill shall be construed to affect existing law related to U.S. citizens, lawful resident aliens, or any other persons who are captured in the U.S.

Thank you again for contacting me. As always, please continue to keep me informed about matters of concern to you and your family.

Sincerely,

Debbie Stabenow

United States Senator

We Conservatives/TeaPartyPatriots are still not aware of our own power, and THEREIN lies the rub. WE ARE LETTING 400 WHORES ALLOW A DICTATOR TO ADMINISTER US! Ten million in WA will awaken the drunks and prozac lovers. Ten million in WA will send a DEFINITE CHILL up the whores' spines. Why is it the Occupy Movement can do any crazy, violent sh*t they please yet if we gather and leave so much as a tea bag on the street. it's a felony?  Have the whores succeeded in psyching us out with their well laid out and easy to find plans of FEMA camps and assorted search and destroy bullsh*t? WE ARE AMERICANS AND IT IS OUR TIME TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE OUR CONSTITUTION AND FREEDOMS just as the Greatest Generation before us did!  It is time to get these rotten bast*rds out of our house and out of the country! WE OUTNUMBER THEM, but we'll never take our country back by typing or sending letters back and forth to the treasonous whores. That time is over! We tell everyone else to wake up, we should take our own advice...NO GUTS, NO GLORY!  Let's shore up our country before it's gone!  "Take up our quarrel with the foe..If ye break with us who die, we shall not sleep, though poppies grow in Flanders Field". Organize to meet the enemy.

I thought this was for the Talaban. I can see Debbie didn't read the damn bill. But, NDAA is beyond the scope of the Constitution and is illegal. The best advice I get is just to ignore whatever Maobama signs (cuts down on my stress level), I think with the recess appointments which were also illegal, the House just might get the message we have a dictator and start up another try at impeachment
