Citizens Dedicated To Preserving Our Constitutional Republic
This is a great Bill and is co-sponsored by 199 Republicans including Bilirakis and Nugent. It would require Congressional Approval of all Executive Orders. – About time they did something useful, now if we can just stop them from giving jobs away….
H.R. 10: Regulations From the Executive in Need of Scrutiny Act of 2011
112th Congress: 2011-2012
To amend chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, to provide that major rules of the executive branch shall have no force or effect unless a joint resolution of approval is enacted into law.
Sponsor: Rep. Geoff Davis [R-KY4]
SUMMARY
Under current law, the Congress can prevent a rule from taking effect by enacting a joint
resolution of disapproval. In contrast, H.R. 10 would require enactment of a joint
resolution of approval prior to any major rule taking effect. Therefore, H.R. 10 would
make major regulations dependent on future legislation.
